AFC Urgent Care (Tyrone) St. Petersburg, FL

I am very appreciative of the staff and the care I received.making an appointment on line is helpful, but you still might have a wait. Because of this appointment I feel better. Im so glad I didnt have to wait until Monday to get an appointment with my primary. All in all the treatment was first class, professional and compassionate. I would definitely recommend.

I needed to see urgent care for a bad cough. The front desk receptionist was very pleasant and kind. Scheduling and online check in was easy. Location is clean and the NP I saw was good. They called in the prescriptions and I was on my way in a timely fashion.

AFC Tyrone has been my go-to urgent care for some time now. The front desk reception team has consistently exceeded my expectations - they’re kind, thorough, and caring. I typically mark my spot in line, but even when I haven’t, I‘ve always been seen promptly. The nurses and physicians on staff are AMAZING. I give their knowledge and bed side manner the highest praise. They also explain “why” an illness is occurring and how to treat it in detail, instead of just handing you a script. They genuinely care here. Thank you, AFC!

Rude do not let you talk. Doctor sees you for one minute. Never get to finish problem or health needs. Nurse and doctor had no idea how to put o knee brace on disabled Senior. It fell down nor did they know it should not be put over clothing. I needed oxygen when there.  O time allowed even to ask plus last time they had no idea how to turn the oxygen on and had to call an ambulance for me while there. Better than ER much better but poor service and hatred of the Disabled and sick. Prescribed medication my insurance does not pay for so entire time there useless. No care except for I jettison that the ER was to give me and did not. Waste of time. Never going to doctors, ER, OR URGENT CARE AGAIN. ALSO THEY ALWAYS BILL ME INCORRECTLY AND SAY I have to pay when I do not. The entire medical establishment in Florida is no good. My body will have to heal itself. This only say one part of body rule is insane. One could drop dead there. They do not give a damn. I asked for a prescription I did not have to pay for - they ignored me so no anti inflammatory at all. If would never recommend any of these or doctors any more.

The worst experience I have ever had at a walk-in clinic. Visibly sick. Dr did not listen. Wrote prescriptions for things I already have. Cant get a prescription for what I need. Never came back in and talked to me. Will never come there again. I hope she is sick someday and nobody will help her absolutely horrible health care. Do not come here.

This urgent care is great with short wait times. The receptionist and nurse practitioner were so kind and helpful. I will say that the gentleman who took my vitals was very rude. I was having an emergency, pregnant, and came straight from work not thinking about wearing a lightweight sweater with nothing underneath. He proceeded to tell me I need to think before I come to medical offices about what I wear because he couldnt take my blood pressure accurately with my sweater. (I have worn this same sweater to my prenatal appointments and my blood pressure is taken every single time with no issue). Someone should work with Dan about the tone in which he speaks to patients. Respect and empathy go a long way.

I go here when I cant get in to see my primary doctor. I have always been very satisfied with the staff and the care I was given. However, they have implemented a new check in system that requires you to use your phone. I dont like this new system, it took me 30 minutes to check in and it kept messing up so I still needed to fill out forms. I am considering going somewhere else in the future.

Avoid at all cost. The 5 star reviews have to be paid for. I went in for an eye examination because I could look in the mirror and see something stuck in my eye. I kept telling the doctor there was something in my eye. She told me with all this equipment she was using she couldn’t see anything in it. She said it was just possibly a scratch. Multiple times I said I can see an object in my eye, but I was dismissed every time. I went to another doctors office right after and they saw the foreign object in my eye as soon as I saw the doctor. It was a rusty piece of metal. I got it fixed. If that had stayed in my eye I could be blind in one of my eyes. I tried multiple times talking to AFC about this and no one wants to call me back. Only calls I get from them is from the billing department! Funny how they change me money and have a doctor say I’m lying about something in my eye. Avoid at all cost!

Everyone here, from the person who helped me check in, to the nurse, to the Dr were so nice and professional. I felt cared for, and thats not necessarily the norm anymore. I noticed them being really helpful and kind to other patients as well. Highly recommend.

Woke up and made an appointment for 10:10am I arrived at 9:55 like thr app requested and had paperwork filled out beforehand. I did wait until 10:38 to be seen by triage but was completely finished with the appointment by 11:15am. For an urgent care it was wonderful and friendly.

So impressed from the electronic check in process, to the wait time. Everything went smooth as butter. I came in thinking I needed antibiotics. Kara used her time to look me over and order the right tests which showed I had a virus. She gave me some great advice and lead me in the right direction to care for my symptoms. Thank you Savannah and Kara! Will definitely recommend to friends & family!

I recently visited this Urgent Care, and I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which immediately put me at ease. One of the most impressive aspects of my visit was the incredibly short wait time. I was seen almost immediately, which is a rare and much-appreciated experience in healthcare.The physician assistant or nurse practitioner (Im not entirely sure of their title) who treated me was exceptional. They were attentive, took the time to listen to all my concerns, and answered my questions in clear, easy-to-understand terms. Their attention to detail was evident in every aspect of my care.Overall, the professionalism, kindness, and efficiency of the entire team made for an outstanding experience. I highly recommend this urgent care to anyone in need of prompt, compassionate care.

Battling this illness for a couple of days. Decided it was time and googled urgent cares near me. (Relatively new to the area) found one location with an hour wait and they referred me to a different location. Excellent customer service! Highly recommend!The staff (Bianca, Quay, Dan, the NP) were over the top incredible! The NP listened to my symptoms and didn’t treat me like a number. Care like this is often a thing of the past, not with this crew!

I don’t expect much from an AFC Urgent Care center, but this place was horrid. The nurses were friendly and professional, the doctor or practitioner was lousy, poor mannered, and lazy. Do not support this location unless you want to wait for 3 + hours for a cold.

Receptionist, intake worker and nurse practitioner were all courteous, patient, professional and knowledgeable. Personal information could only be given via phone app which I found rather slow and tedious. Once that was completed the wait wasnt very long and the health care itself went very well. Clinic was clean and well organized. Plenty of parking. AFC is recommended to others.

My first visit here the staff were friendly and helpful. The service seemed quick and it went well. I went as a referral, as it was work related, over a week ago. I cannot return to work until my employer and myself get the results back. This is why Im only giving 2 stars. Theyve had the results for a few days, but every time I call I get the excuse that theyre busy. This is work related, my employer and I shouldve had some priority to get the results back, especially when its been this long already. It doesnt take that long to fax and make a call. Do better.

My daughter went there Friday after being in a car accident just down the road. First they told her they couldnt see her due to a balance from a previous visit. The date of the visit according to their computer was her day of birth 21 years ago. I can say, I did not take my newborn from the hospital to an AFC Urgent care the day she was born. They figured it must be a mistake and moved forward. They then said her insurance claim number was not good enough and she would need to pay $100 to be seen. This was after 2+ hours of attempting to get signed in. She paid the $100 and went to the back. After 3 HOURS OF WAITING, they stated they could not help her as she was in an accident and needed to go to an ER. Why did they make her sit for 3 hours, complaining of a head ache, knee swelling up and turning purple, but they made her sit until they got paid, then denied her service stating they were not equiped. Is it proper protocol to allow someone with a head injury from a car accident to sit for 3 hours before getting treatment? Shouldnt she have immediately been told to go to an ER since they could not help her?

I had to pay $100 up front for a swollen foot. Was a vein issue. They first wanted me to get an exray of my foot that has nothing to do with my issue before I even saw the nurse practitioner. Then my goodness, she was something. She said without even examining my foot there was nothing she could do but said I should go to the emergency room and then just not pay after I told her I had no insurance. She kept saying that she never pays when she goes and that we should be like Canada and have free insurance. IT WAS CRAZY!!! She said she had seen 47 people with no lunch. I went in at 4:30. She was so overwhelmed I cant imagine what happened to everyone else. LIKE SHE RECOMMENDED, I WANT MY $100 BACK. THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR WHAT I EXPERIENCED TODAY.

Receptionist was welcoming and it was helpful to have completed the registration online while making the appointment. Waited for about 25 minutes and was called back by the nurse.Nurse was also very welcoming and had a great demeanor throughout interactions.Provider Jennings came in promptly and apologized for my wait time and listened to all my concerns without interrupting. Got my diagnosis within 10 min and prescription was called in before I left the office. She was highly effective with her time and I was very impressed with her bedside manner.Would highly recommend here and would go again if I needed urgent care in the future.

Everyone was very nice. The woman I saw believes I have shingles. Have had bumps & welts all over the left side of my headI have had the most excruciating pain day & night for six days. I have an appointment with a dermatologist on Wednesday morning for confirming shingles. I am concerned that itay be something else but should know by Wednesday.

Terrible experience with not one but 2 RN’s I have the flu so does my 6 yr old Neurodivergent child. The male nurse Eric swabbed my nostrils so hard I bled, when I asked Him to be more gentle with my child or allow me toDoIt he shut the door in my face and a different nurse returned named Bianca who then tried to workWith us yet threatened my daughter to hold her down. I told her no one willDo a safety hold but me please be patient with her she is weak sick and scared she just watched her mom bleed from her swab. After tests were done she proceeded to talk negatively about my daughter and I behind a closed door not realizing we could hear her. Very unprofessional, app while we’re both very sick. I did tell the Dr who was wonderful and helpful. We will never be back here and if you have children or neurodivergent children I would stay away from this place allTogether. WillBe reaching out to their boss as well. I understand they are overworked but so are the rest of us we can still have some compassion in a compassionate industry

Making an appointment online was really easy. Confirmation and information was sent to my email. I arrived @ the clinic and Chante was @ reception. Chante was extremely kind, patient and informative. Waiting area was large and very clean. I was seen on time. Samantha took my information and vital signs, she was very kind and helpful. Tameka Polite was thorough, very patient and extremely informative. I was prescribed antibiotiques which they called into my pharmacy. I picked the medication up @ a Walgreens on the way home! It does not get any easier or better!!! Wish we had this system in Montreal!!! Thank you AFC, this is a shining example of what a great medical system looks like!!!!

I was caught in the flood waters of hurricane Helene. My legs and feet look like elephant feet and I had UTI symptoms from being in flood water up to my waist. I came here to be checked and we wow, such wonderful people. They were as nice or nicer than my own doctors. I highly recommend!

Very quick and responsive service with a great staff and Doctor. She listened to my problems without rushing me! My only surprise was she never looked at my throat or ears, or listened to my chest, ? I came in with Covid symptoms and a history of neumonia, and sinus infections. She did prescribe 5 different meds to treat my Cold & Sinus Infection, so that was good!

The office manager was so amazing! She made me feel comfortable and was the sweetest. Everyone I spoke to in there was so nice!

An exceptional walk in clinic. This was my third time and consistently the receptionist is one and welcoming. The medical team are attentive and also kind. Today I needed stitches and the PA was Jay and he is always so good. I left with great care and a smile on my face!!!

Had what felt like razor blades in my throat last night. Got an appointment easily. Debs and crew were fantastic. Its such a family feel and they are checking my thyroid which  is great.

Ive never had to wait an unreasonable length of time , online scheduling is easy to navigate. Staff is friendly and the facility is clean. This is close to my work and the two times I used AFC , they were able to get me in, where Baycare couldnt untill the next day. Ill continue to use AFC for future visits!

It was Sunday at 11am when i sliced my thumb open. We went to another emergency care and there were 7 in front of me. Checked Google and AFC was right up street at Tyrone/ 22nd Ave North. Went in and we were seen within 15 minutes. Everyone was super friendly and professional. I would highly recommend..

Very good service. I had a high blood pressure issue episode & they took very good care of me & prescribed a med that I filled across the street @ CVS. My pressure is back to normal. Thank you

Excellent service from beginning to end of my sick visit. The physician was compassionate and listened well to everything that was going on with me. The lady at the front was a doll. Best one iv ever been to in that respect. As far as when you leave the lobby, the rest of the place is terrible. Nurses seem like they have no knowledge what so ever.

The ladies at AFC were very attentive to my needs. From Savanah being friendly and calming my nerves down while doing my vitals, to Kristen being gentle and friendly while doing my xrays. Laura, the provider was very thorough in explaining what was happening to me during my visit. She was very knowledgeable and broke information down to me where I was able to understand the important information that was given to me. I read a previous review about her being a Karen. This woman is by far a NO KAREN! Im glad I decided to have my healthcare done here. These ladies were on point, friendly, and professional during my healthcare experience. If ever I need any more help, I will definitely return!!

I came in with a sore ear the Dr seemed to be in a rush. There were a lot of people in the waiting room so that’s probably why. I felt like she was trying to give me the best care possible but she may have been the only dr on staff so she wasn’t able to give me the time I would have needed.

It was easy to make an appt online. Once I arrived, within less than 10 minutes I was taken back to a room. All staff were very friendly, professional & efficient. Def will be coming back if I need an Urgent appt.

Amazing office staff, very clean and did not have to wait long to be seen! Called me within the hour with xray results! Check in was very simple also.

IF I COULD: ZERO STARS!!!!!On 8/14/24 I went in to this urgent care to hopefully get help without going to the hospital or anywhere else, but it was the complete opposite. I have insurance and was suppose to be charged 125, but was charged 250. When I finally found out they over charged me ( I called my insurance to confirm this) I let them know and they where rude. I told them I was on the phone with my insurance, they didnt care, and proceeded to say the were correct in overcharging me. Struggled to get a refund and still waiting for it. In addition, the test they did did not tell what was going on with me. They were guessing with very little medical information they had on me and what they told me was complete bull. They said that I had things I know that wasnt true. Plus, they said to keep taking and doing things that I was doing before and they knew it wasnt working.

I waited way too long to get in I had a UTI infection and I dont like the way you have to check in now with your phone it took a very very long time just to get checked in. Very very poor. When you have a UTI infection as you know its frequent urineI went six times just while I was there. They did prescribe something that helps though but I didnt like I was there probably almost 2 hours

Had to come in the morning of thanksgiving due to having chest pain after a week long illness. Staff were incredibly nice and I was in and out in less than an hour. Highly recommend

Afc urgent care was the most convenient to where I live. The care was very good, friendly and professional.However the check in procedure is horrendous, unnessarily complicated and nearly unworkable. For this reason alone i will definitely recomend to everyone. That they should AVOID going to this place. Its a shame that something as simple as checking in could ruin an otherwise good experience totally- Please fix it quickly.

The lady up front was really kind and helpful for my walk in appointment. Really thankful for her kindness.

I hope this was because of the hurricane but no one introduced themselves to me or even engaged me how do I take care of my toe now that it is broken what is the treatment plan. At the end of 3 hours I was given discharge papers and good bye. I was in pain and wow! I am disappointed. Otherwise the place is clean

Staff is rude and incompetent, if you have anything other than a drug test or auto insurance scam, go somewhere else. I would drag myself across 66th during rush hour traffic with no legs before going back to this pit.

Laura Jennings was amazing!!! I loved her bedside manner and I loved how patient she was with my son and she was thorough and amazing. Thank you. Dan was great with the x-rays and glad it was not a break!

I recently suffered an injury to my eye, and went to the Tyrone urgent care clinic for assistance. I was very impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. And the doctor quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed treatment. I will not hesitate to visit the clinic in the future.

This is my favorite location by Tyrone! EVERYBODY on staff is amazing everytime. Ive been there 5 times and every person I met is very attentive, sensitive when needed, and very educated. I ask a lot of questions and never felt like I was being too much. Im so glad I have the membership now!

Had a x ray done yesterday/Monday and was told that it would take about an hour for results. Here it is the next day Tuesday and haven’t heard from anyone.

My Aunt wasnt feeling well, (turns out she was having a heart attack) afc refused to see her , she has multiplan ins with full out of network benefits and I told them I was told to bring her there by the insurance but because they didnt want to take the time to add the insurance and bill it they refused to see her. TgH urgent said they didnt have her insurance on file but would see her, they did an ekg and rushed her to bayfront ER. She had had a heart attack the day before that we were unaware of and she was having another. She passed a few days later. Will never go to AFC again since they couldnt be bothered to add new insurance and bill causing more stress

On Vacation in St Petes Beach. Needed some medical treatment. Found this Urgent Care online. Was very happy with my choice!Very clean, well organized. I made an appointment on line so my wait was short.The NP was very thorough along with an additional female staff who helped with my treatment. They were very professional and friendly!They diagnosed my problem, prescribed medication and I hope to be feeling better very soon! I would definitely recommend this facility!

Im a registered nurse and from out of state and I want to say that I’m so impressed with staff and the overall process in my visit to this urgent care was awesome. The staff were extremely friendly the NP and nurse was great too! I was totally impressed by my visit both as a patient and being a nurse I can say this place was fabulous!!! Woke up this morning not feeling well with a sore throat. Staff is efficient and friendly. I come here every time I am sick and always have a great experience. Easier than going to my primary doctor for urgent care. Check in is simple and not a long wait.

I am so disappointed with this location. I made an appointment and I follow the directions and upload all the information and arrive on time. I kept getting texts that my appointment is soon and then a message that I am checked in and I’m good to go.I arrive at the location and they are CLOSED!Why would you have your system up and running saying there are appointments available if the location is closed? Why would you waste my time?I would have left a very colorful message if I could have.Avoid this place. They are irresponsible. If I could have given zero stars, I would have.

My appointment with Dusti Russell, APRN, was the best experience I have had at any Urgent Care type facility EVER. She was patient, pleasant, caring and extremely knowledgeable. She truly seemed to care about me and how I was feeling on a holistic level.

They were fast, friendly, and treated my sinus infection! I will absolutely go again!

We came to Florida from NY and our little guy spiked a high fever. We brought him into the office and the staff was AMAZING. Sky at reception was so sweet and kind to him and the nurse was absolutely aces. He was so scared and nervous and the nurse held his hand, gave him a bunch of toys and lollipops and comforted him greatly. We were in and out in under 30 minutes. We have never received medical care like this back home, ever. Sadly, he tested positive for flu and hoping he recovers quickly.

NP and MA Bianca was absolutely wonderful. The front desk staff also amazing.

This was a fantastic place to get all my pre-operative screening done for a new knee. From a general exam, to blood work, imaging, and more. They are very well organized. Know exactly what to do next. Keep the patient comfortable while looking for and administrating so many individual tasks that were requested by my surgeon. The Doctor Ms Moore was attentive to my answers to her questions and compassionate.A great place for many things. And a great well trained staff.Sincerely R Tonkavich

If I could give this place a 0 I would , horrible rude staff . Shante was the one checking in this day . My husband walked in at 11AM to get a drug test and a physical done for his job , she told him to have a seat and wait . My husband waited for almost 2 hrs and walked up to the desk and asked for an update since people that got there after him were being called in before him. Turns out he was never checked in so he was there for 2 hrs wasting his time. And when asking the girls what was going on Shante didn’t know anything and directed us to talk to another lady there named Karen I believe , dark skinned heavy women. Who was also very rude and stated other people were being called in before my husband because they had an appointment. Which we understand, what was messed up is waiting there 2 hrs and not being checked in. Definitely need more friendlier efficient staff that knows what they are doing . And definitely a new manager since this one was very rude and thinking she was right for telling us we had to wait . Don’t go here and waste your time.

I went to AFC with a broken toe! The doctor was wonderful! I was seen right away and had 3 xrays. The doctor was so thorough and she did not rush the visit. I will return to AFC Care the next time I have an emergency.

The Nurse Practitioner, Dusti Russell was the best I have ever encountered.And this is coming from a retired Physician Assistant who practiced for 30+ years.A well-run facility and efficient staff made it a positive experience.Will highly recommend to all my friends and neighbors in our community.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. The staff was very helpful and friendly- I had Star as my nurse and she was amazing!!! She made me feel very comfortable, she took my blood for some tests and it was the easiest experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been to a few urgent cares that were terrible but this location was great. 10/10 recommend

On spring break with my daughter and she starts feeling bad. The minute we walked in the receptionist was very attentive, nurses and the NP Deva Ellis was awesome. Highly recommend this urgent care if in the St. Pete / Tyrone area if Florida.

Nurse Practitioner Dusti and Nurse Monika were very compassionate and caring. The whole staff was friendly and professional. I am so grateful for the time NP Dusti spent with me during the consult and the treatment. She listened to me and shared her expertise. NP Dusti gave me a lot of great self care suggestions to hopefully avoid future issues. Nurse Monika was helpful with intake questions that I had and follow up care. They both had a great sense of humor and were very experienced. Since it was later in the evening, I expressed concern about being able to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy to begin antibiotic treatment right away. They even offered on site filling of my prescription. It was a great value for me. I definitely recommend AFC UC and if I have future care needs I will 100% go there first.

Still waiting over an hour to be seen while having to suffer through music geared towards the youth employed there. Just unresponsive in general and will go to a different location next time in need.Uodate, they close in minutes and still no response to be seen.

Called about covid shot today. The woman that answered the phone just answered hello! Having thought I might of reached the wrong number, I asked is this urgent care? Which she replied yeah!! Thats who you called. I asked if I needed an appointment, which she responded angrily. This is a walkin clinic sir. Im sorry but I had appointments for both of my covid test at this location. She was even nasty when I showed up. Just saying, Im in for a long wait. Im sorry your life sucks lady.

Umm.. i really liked Nurse Dusti and Kristen. They took really good care of me. Calmed my fears, educated me and made sure there were no additional questions i needed. It took a while, but that wasnt their fault at all. Thats what happens when youre working alone. They should get more help. Dan made me feel comfortable as well. And i do not remember the ladys name at the check in, but she started the entire process off comfortably.

I’m not one to ever post reviews on anything because it’s not worth the time, but genuinely this was the worst experience i have ever had going to any doctor. i went in with an ongoing issue, expecting to feel validated as a patient, but the doctor was quite literally so rude and disrespectful and made zero effort to help me. the entire visit i felt that he was in a rush to be somewhere and made me feel like i didn’t belong there. he diagnosed me with something i didn’t have without doing any testing of any sort and prescribed medications that I didn’t need because i went to a different doctor after that horrible experience, and when i showed the other doctor the paper he sent me on my way with…and he laughed. honestly avoid this location like the plague. the other reviews saying the doctors suck here, they unfortunately were not lying. i gave this place a shot after all the bad reviews, and unfortunately they lived up to the 1 star review im giving. do better.

My girlfriend and I were in St. Petersburg for the weekend. We woke up the morning of checkout to find her eye completely shut and swollen. It was stressful being far from home and having to stop somewhere for an emergency. But the staff at this clinic were super helpful and got us in and out quickly. Nicole was very sympathetic and got her just what she needed! The clinic was very clean too.

Abigail at the front desk was incredible with getting me in quickly, and working with my insurance to ensure it got covered properly, I would highly suggest she get a raise or promotion - she’s the literal best! Erica & TY the MA’s were efficient and very polite! & AJ the provider was quick to see me and explained everything step by step. 100000% recommending this location! Very welcoming and quick service! One of the better urgent cares I’ve been to! Huge huge thanks again to Abigail - absolutely amazing, goes above and beyond.

My daughter went here for possible cellulitis and had a horrible experience. I understand its the holidays and busy. The medical assistant brought her to the room on FaceTime w someone else. The nurse practitioner had both air pods in her ears and hardly listened to her complaint. It was a simple visit that she only needed antibiotics and they were completely unprofessional. Unsatisfactory medical service. She eventually did receive antibiotics but the bedside manner could be improved. Do better!

I seen the staff clean the door handle that lead to see the medical staff but did not proceed to the front door or any other. Funny as You’d think if cleanliness was a priority for them they would clean all areas not just their door handle. The small actions shows their priority for care and the health of others.

AFC Urgent Care was everything advertised on their website. Securing your spot in line is easy, and filling out the paperwork before you go in is fast and convenient.The facility is VERY clean and well organized. Abagail took me back for information gathering and vitals. She was competent, helpful, and friendly. She explained exactly what tests needed to happen and the timelines for treatment.AJ was a great provider and called in all the necessary scripts when test results were available shortly thereafter.I was in and out in an hour!I would definitely recommend AFC for all your urgent care needs-they were exceptional. All the stars, highly recommend!

I was very well taken care of and will only come back to see this NP and I wish I had asked if she worked at another location Shes versatile and well trained in her professional not only in health care but has excellent bedside manners. I began to feel so much better the same night, after starting antibiotics my NP prescribed. I had ZERO ISSUES picking them up and starting them the same night! You all were a God send to me! From the minute I walked in that was genuine! I want to express a huge thank you with all my heart to my provider Nickole and my beautiful nurse ( I dont think I got her name) she was genuinely concerned about my health& well being that night we didnt really get to be chat it up. lol. I cant say how much that meant to me especially in this day and age where most nurses are there for a paycheck and majorly lack any medical knowledge like the repeated visits I mistakenly made going to TGH walk in. Never have I ever experienced my CO2 blood oxygen levels being low... I knew I couldnt breathe and I was quietly panicking inside but I didnt need to say a word for the first time in the 40yrs I have been alive I was assisted with a CO2 tank to help comfort me while I was being Monitored making sure I was safe and comfortable, which I highly appreciate! 😊 . I was very grateful I wasnt turned away and told to go to the ER I was very much at my Witts end due to being seen by another urgent care days before and received ZERO HELP SO I WAS SKEPTICAL BUT I AM SO BLESSED I PRESSED THROUGH THE DOOR AND RECEIVED THE BEST CARE IN THE TAMPA BAY! Thank you all Again!!!! ♥️

Brought my mom here today for shortness of breath. I felt that the service she received from the time we walked in to the time we left was wonderful. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and welcoming, even observing their interactions with others who arrived after us. The nurses and doctor were very attentive and made sure that my mom understood everything they were saying. There is nothing we can really do about timing, each emergency is different, but I was very pleased with the care my mom received.

There was a minor wait due to it being busy which is understandable, but the staff were really great, very nice, and the visit itself was efficient and well-done. I have a lot of social anxiety but I felt quite comfortable during the visit, and the staff were easy to talk to and overall a great help.The building itself was easy to get to, despite being in the middle of a few very busy intersections, with entrance/exits on multiple roads which is great for coordinating with traffic. Parking is adequate, with some trees to provide shade (always good).

I had the best urgent care experience Ive ever had at this AFC location! The front desk staff were welcoming and approachable when I arrived. The best part of my experience was the nurse who saw me, Kelly, who was honestly probably one of the warmest, most comforting health professionals Ive had in my life (and Ive seen lots). She was genuinely memorable. So friendly, made me feel so comfortable, had a very positive energy, and I didnt feel rushed out after my exam at all---she patiently spent time with me as I asked her questions. Nurse Kelly had a clear, detailed, informative answer for every one of them. I will be coming back here for future health needs! 😊

My first few visits to this facility were great. However, I went back recently with severe cold symptoms that resembled a sinus infection and had a very different experience. The provider did not test me for ANYTHING - not covid, strep, sinus infection, etc. - but prescribed me a steroid and cough medicine, and told to call back if I didn’t improve. I continued to get worse and developed a sinus infection that was later diagnosed and treated at a different urgent care. When I called asking if I could get a treatment prescribed since things worsened in the way we had discussed, I was told that I’d have to come to the facility even though they saw me three days earlier and knew what was wrong. The other urgent care provider was shocked when I told her that I wasn’t tested for anything at AFC. I’m sure everyone was doing their best, but I was in a significant amount of pain and had to miss 2 days of work because I did not receive the proper care. I will not be returning to this facility.

I am writing this on behalf of my grandmother: The staff at AFC did an awesome job with treatment! I came in with a large gash in my leg and was able to instantly be seen after sign in with Emma. Nurses Kirstie, Angie, and Dr. Darrell Hopps were all very friendly and professional. They did a great job at making me comfortable, keeping everything clean, and making sure I wasnt in any pain through my 11 stitches. We also had fun talking and joking around throughout the whole time I was there! - Cheerie

We had an appointment scheduled online for 7:40 PM. We received a confirmation text to be there 10 minutes ahead of schedule. Walked in at 7:24 PM and had someone checking in before. When it was our turn to check-in we were told our son running a 102.3 fever could not be seen because they don’t register after 7:30 PM. 2 problems with this. 1- why have a process to register for a 7:40 PM appointment if you have no intention of taking a patient. 2 - we were there 16 minutes prior but had to wait for another patient to check-in that did not have an appointment.To turn away an infant that is not feeling well because your rude, non-caring and belligerent office staff doesn’t want to stay later is obscene. Find a new line of work!! I would not recommend nor ever return to this place. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my lifetime. And I’ve had some pretty bad experiences.I guess I should have read the reviews prior to registering. The high number of 1 and 2 star reviews speaks volumes about my experience.

I was impressed with the entire office..... from the time I entered the doors and was greeted and processed, to the competent and professional way NP Moore resolved my medical issues. Well definitely use this office in the future for any medical needs I might have.

Last week, I scheduled an appointment as I woke up very sick and was heading out of town that same day so I needed to be seen somewhere asap to get on some meds to travel with. I waited an incredibly long time to be seen even though there were hardly any other patients. I was extremely sick and feeling terrible while waiting. Once I was put into a private room, it took almost an hour before I saw anyone again. No one came in to say how much longer the wait would be, let me know where bathrooms were located, nothing. Once the PA finally came in, she spent about 5 minutes (at the most) in the room and just diagnosed me with an upper respiratory infection. No kind of testing was done, no samples taken and no Covid test performed. I definitely had more going on than what I was just quickly diagnosed with. The TV in the front waiting room was so loud, I couldnt hold a conversation with the person who came to the appointment with me. Music is played in the back that is also very loud and not soothing by any means. Typically I wouldnt be bothered by such but when you are feeling like you are on your death bed, it is very bothersome. Lastly, I was charged $150 for the visit and I have very good insurance. I wont be coming back for any future issues.

The nurse that took my blood pressure, temperature, etc was absolutely wonderful. She was so caring and kind. I wish I could remember her name but I dont. The doctor and rest of staff were also kind and caring & very thorough as well. I will definitely recommend your facility to friends and family.

Very satisfied with the visit care given to my daughter. The front desk was so nice to put on a movie to keep the kids entertained while we waited. Wait time was very quick even though I didn’t have a scheduled appointment.

I made an appointment for a rapid COVID test at 9am. Checked in at 8:50. It was not busy at all and they brought me in at 8:55. The woman at the check in desk was super nice. The woman who actually did the test for me was also super pleasant and she was super gentle with the test. It was as pain free as could be! I got my (negative 🙌🏽) test results in about 10 minutes. It was overall such an easy and convenient visit. I definitely recommend this place!

No one wants to go to urgent care, but AFC made it easy, pleasant, and quick.

Friendly professional staff. I felt comfortable and well cared for. The only glitch is that pharmacy did not receive 1 of my prescriptions. A quick phone call should straighten that out. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility and won’t hesitate to use it again if needed.

The supporting staff at this facility is caring, pleasant, patient, and compassionate. They were top notch and very efficient. That is the only reason I gave two stars. The chairs in the waiting room were very worn and cracked but area was clean. I had, what I thought, an infection in my finger. The nurse practitioner I saw was completely unaware of any reason my finger could be extremely painful, swollen and hot. I suggested the infection. She stated ,”I don’t know”, to every question I had. I asked what she thought and again, said ”I don’t really know. I will give you antibiotics because it won’t hurt you. If you get better, I guess you had an infection. If not, I don’t know.” This is the medical opinion I am paying out of network for and I have no idea what that amount will be. ( I’mfrom Pa.) I asked her what I should do if the finger does not improve. Guess what she said? “ I don’t know, I guess come back here”. I don’t think so. Cannot recommend this Urgent Care to anyone, which is unfortunate because, as I stated, the rest of the staff was really, really good. And there wasn’t a doctor at the facility, so I was uneasy with that.

The doctor who saw me was very helpful and had good bedside manner. I did not feel overly rushed. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. All of the other staff was very friendly and helpful. I waited 1-2 hours to see a doctor. But that is often way better than the alternatives. Ive seen others wait much longer at the ER or to get a primary care appointment. Their computer system seems like it could use some work, based on comments from other arriving guests. If you have a non life treating urgent medical issue, Id recommend this location.

Walked in for drug screen and was immediately greeted by the lady at the front desk that was so polite and pleasant, when I walked up to the counter, another smiling face under a mask, then the lady that performed the test was nice and pleasant as well!The entire staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and patient with me and all of my questions which I appreciated tremendously! The building was clean front and back and I felt safe sitting in the lobby as everything was set up appropriately with all seats socially distant as required and the wait was minimal!Thank you AFC Tyrone for a quick and pleasant experience!

I was able to schedule and fill out the insurance forms online. Check- in was easy. The nurse practitioner I saw was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I love how they have all the rates for services posted on the wall. I went in for a sprained wrist and saw beforehand that they could do x-rays. Everything went smoothly. The Tyrone location was great.

This is my go to place to receive excellent care. One time I went I had to go to emergency room cause I had Kidney stones. Doc was right on. This time I went for a cold tested for Covid and Flu it was the flu. I recommend this Clinic for sure.

The check in is flawless and all done with your phone. They still allow walk in appointments and offer free Covid testing. No appointment necessary. I waited no more then 10 minutes to have a test done. The from checking to the nursing staff are friendly, efficient and compassionate. I felt they enjoyed their jobs and sincerely are there to help you. I highly recommend this urgent care.

Abigail and Dusti are amazing. They made me feel comfortable from the minute. I came in, even though I was not feeling very comfortable and was wondering if I was just me being a bit of a wimp. However, they assured me that was not the case, and they took the upmost care of me. The knowledge and kindness and compassion shown to me is second to none, and so appreciated.I say this every time I leave, but I have to say it again, you all are the best! Im sure the other AFCs are wonderful, but they do not have you! Thanks to ALL who helped me; from the lady I spoke with prior to my arrival to the kind lady who checked me in. I want to make sure everyone is recognized for the fine job that they do. Thank you again, to all of you, especially to Abigail and Dusti- my 2 angels. 😇

Tyler Trepanier help me on my visit and was able to really put me at ease and make me comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She was so professional, kind, and caring in a time of need for me. I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience with not just Tyler but this location as a whole.

Very friendly, clean and efficient!! Receptionist was so bubbly and helpful. Getting rid of the kiosk was a plus. So many elderly people were confused by it.

The place was very busy but convenient because they are open on Sundays which is great. The staff were very nice and there was a good system in place to get everyone tested. There was a three hour wait but that is to be expected since they are offering free testing. However if you need test results in order to be able to go back to work, I would advise going to another testing site. I took my test seven days ago and still no results. My sister got her results in three days and she tested at a federal testing center who uses Labcorp as well so not sure why my test is taking so long. I’ll just keep checking the portal and hope for the best.

This is now my second visit here and both times the MA has messed up my labs. The provider Darryl Hopps was great, both times. But both times I have gone there the MA messed up my labs whether they didnt send it off same day or label it, I went back to AFC regardless of them messing up. They AGAIN didnt send my specimen to the lab it has been 4 days since I have been there and my lab result is no where to be found. I work in the medical field so I have access to see pending and/or final lab reports and there is nothing at all yet again. So I called yesterday to see what lab they sent my specimen to and she didnt even check she assumed what lab not even verifying that it was even sent. Beyond irritated and completely unprofessional you guys seriously need to pay attention to the people you hired!

Absolutely recommend this clinic 100%. Wonderful front desk person checked us in. The triage nurse was very thorough and kind. The provider was kind and straight to the point. We are very pleased with the treatment plan and will always go to this clinic in the future if we need to.

Have been here twice now. Once for COVID testing and once for an illness. Both experiences are good. It’s nice you can do all the paper work at home before going in. Wait times are not bad, but I still waited even with an appointment (this just helps you get in the line before you arrive). Nurses and LPN I saw were all very polite, throughout, and caring. Definitely will continue to use this facility for urgent care needs.

We had an incredible experience here! We arrived, unsure if they would be able to accommodate us on short notice, as we were traveling out of state. Anne was absolutely fabulous, walked us through the process, and took care of us right away! Clean facility, efficient service, I would highly recommend!

Going to Urgent Care isn’t something you typically want to do, but I had an overall great experience there. The staff was extremely nice and the vibe was good. They seem like they have a good time there and I love that. I visited to get a DOT physical and would recommend their location.

Tho’ the staff is sweet and polite, I’m afraid that they are not professional . They kept me waiting for over an hour and a half. Then , based on my symptoms,diagnosed me with the flu, but did NOT perform a flu test! Even with their prescription , my symptoms got progressively worse. Turns out, I was misdiagnosed, I actually had A sinus infection that spread rapidly. When I informed My home pc , he couldn’t believe how unprofessional they were.If I’m paying $175. Out of pocket just to walk in, then A flu test should not cost anything extra. And If they had tested me properly in the first place, Then I could have been on the road to recovery by now.I hope this facility will take better precautions in the future.

My son woke up with a very high fever in the early hours of a Saturday morning and his pediatricians office is closed on weekends. Searched online and found one of the few Urgent Cares in my area that was open on weekends and would accept his insurance. Was able to make an appointment and complete the patient paperwork online before the office was even open. When we arrived for the appointment the staff was ready for us. We were seen quickly and the entire medical team was nice and accommodating. My son was assessed, tested for the flu, diagnosed and a prescription sent to the pharmacy and we were on our way home within the hour. I would definitely recommend and come back here for any of my families medical needs.

We walked in, since we could not get into a primary care provider for over a month. New registration process on phone was easy. Did not wait more than half an hour. Provider was cordial and right on point for our needs. Insurance set up easy. A great first time experience.

Down here on vacation and broke out into a bad case of hives. Made an appt for 810 in the morning. I was the first patient there and was told the provider was running about 5 mins behind and would be there shortly. At 820 they roomed me and told me the provider was 5 mins away. At 844 he finally came in. The provider was super nice as well as the other staff, but very unprofessional being that late to work.

I needed a PCR test for a trip to Panama this weekend and just flew back to town and was on a time crunch. I called the office and they were so nice. They said the fastest was to go online and register and they would get me in. I did and they did; they got me in within the hour.I was greeted warmly at the front desk and checked in commenting on how we had spoken and she was aware of my upcoming trip. The nurse who came and got me was very upbeat and super nice. She got my vitals and then the nurse that administered the test, Erica, was great. Turns out she had a Milestone birthday recently and mine approaches. She admixture the test and we chatted as we walked out. Everyone at the desk wished me well on my trip.If I ever have a need, they are on the tip of the list. Thank you all!!

Easy appointmentVery pleasant medical & office staff

Literally the worst urgent care ever. stuff was nice enough so I give it a one. Got in 40 minutes before my appointment time. Five minutes after my appointment time I asked how long it would be and was told it would only be a couple more minutes. 45 minutes after that I got up and left. Nowhere near busy enough to have that long of a wait time. Would have been better off just going to the emergency room.

I would definitely recommend this urgent care. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. The staff at the registration desk were efficient getting you checked in. The staff that saw me in the exam room were incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable. The whole experience was quick and organized. I would definitely return here in the future if I was in need of their services.

All of the staff I saw were very pleasant which I was surprised about! They have to deal with a lot of people who are sick and impatient yet they continued to still maintain a level of professionalism and friendliness. That just made the visit much better. Services were great and wait time wasnt that bad.

I was able to get in with-in 15 minutes of check in. Staff up front was helpful and knowledgeable about covid testing and all other questions. Doctor and nurse were friendly and knowledgeable as well as quick and efficient. Would definitely come here again. The Dr. also checked me over and told me he didnt believe it was covid. I had to pay my co-pay to see him, but it was worth it for the piece of mind.

To start off I had made an appointment for 2:55pm and was not seen until 4:30pm that should tell you all you need to know about this “urgent care”. The front desk receptionist had the worst attitude towards sick customers it was disgusting. I understand you’re busy, but when customers can hear people in the back joking and having a good time in the back and not taking care of patients it’s a little disrespectful. I came to this location based on good reviews and was completely let down. I’ll never be returning and hope that when you have an urgent care need you go else where!

Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I came to this location end of last year for a COVID test & had a plesant experience. so figured I’d use the same clinic again for another situation. Very disappointed. The scheduling, wait, lack of communication, just terrible. Made a reservation online for an injury needing an x ray, showed up at the reserved time (on crutches), only to then be told that there was a 2 hour wait & that the reservation made isn’t an actual appointment. Left & came back as directed to be seen when it was my turn. Got vitals taken then was seen by the PA only to be told their x ray machine was down & don’t have an x ray tech on-site anyways. Why wasn’t this told to me at the front desk or when the reservation was made? Very poor customer service/patient consideration. I was sent to the ulmerton location & was seen with no wait.

I went to one AFC urgent care facility, but left when the receptionist mechanically said, “Here, fill these out and it will be a 1-1/2 hour wait.” I replied that I only wanted a rapid COVID test and he said, “ yeah, that’s one and a half hours.“ I went out to my car, and made an appointment at the other AFC facility for 50 minutes later. This receptionist was polite, welcoming, and said, “ You’re all set, it will be just a couple of minutes.I walked out with my results in less than 1/2 hour. The PA who administered the test and gave me my results could not of been friendlier nor more efficient. Moral of the story: I know which AFC Center to go to, and which one to avoid. Tyrone is clearly the best.

The checking in process can seem kind of impersonal. Once inside everybody is very kind and caring. I am really impressed with this Urgent Care / walk-in clinic.Edit: I have a different instance now and had to go to Baycare down the street. I MISS YOU! They are horrible.

I had to go in a for a couple stitches in my chin. The entire process was easy start to finish. The lady at the front desk was polite and helpful and the nurse and PA that treated me were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I was very impressed and felt very comfortable. Thank you

I went to this urgent care on Saturday 10/22 with severe flu-like symptoms. I was recommended to go to this location by my insurance, but 30 minutes after I arrived I was informed by a receptionist that they do not take the insurance. I left in tears but then decided that I needed to be seen regardless of the cost because of how sick I was. Another receptionist then took my information and rechecked it in their system, then confirming that they do actually take my insurance. Issue #1.I saw a nurse practitioner, explained my symptoms, and then she recommended a flu test only, and asked me myself if I wanted to add on a COVID test, which would be $50-100 out of pocket. Per her recommendation, I chose just the flu test. Why would she leave that up to the patient? Issue #2.Another woman came into my exam room handing me a piece of paper and telling me I was “good to go” without explaining my test results or the information on the paper. I had no idea what I was supposed to do especially because the nurse told me she would come back with my results. Issue #3.As I was walking out the door I see that my flu test result was negative, but I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do. What do I even have? The paper said “viral infection” … what kind??? Issue #4.The next morning (yesterday) 10/23, I took an at-home COVID test and it was positive. I had to return to urgent care to get a test that would be on my medical record and get a note to miss school and pay an extra copay and test fee. Issue #5.I do not understand how so many things could have gone wrong in such a short span of time. You’d think because we are still in the middle of a global pandemic that has hospitalized and killed record numbers of people they’d be more diligent in their professions. I’m currently in medical school and this makes me really embarrassed to have been treated by medical professionals in this way.Do better.

This place was very busy but Jessica at the front desk was extremely patient and helpful. Many were not happy with the wait for a test and expressed anger, and she remained calm. She explained how to sign in multiple times and assisted those with technology issues. Dealing with ill and stressed clients has to be difficult but she is a true professional.

After waiting over an hour to see the doctor, we left. We will not ever return!

This is the second time I’ve used AFC urgent care for our family. The first time I went in without an appointment and it was a long wait, but everyone was very pleasant.The second time I made an appointment ahead for an early appointment and we were in and out in 15min.I highly recommend this company and the nurse was extremely kind and gentle with my son. I really appreciate all you do!!

I was seen by Nickole Bacon NP and she was fantastic. Also the Medical Assistant that triaged me was nice, so was the front office receptionist.Im also a Medical Assistant, So this definitely impressed me! 👍🏿 👍🏿

Everyone is so friendly and they seem to honestly care about their patients. Not always the feeling you get in urgent cares. Triage nurse, Kelly and NP Kelly were both great. Wait wasnt too long. They have a pretty good system that gets you in and out relatively fast. All in all I had a good experience and will return.

My appointment was at 8:10. I had pre registered and upon entering at 8:00, I checked in at front desk and Receptionist was extremely nice and pleasant! I was seated only about 5 minutes before I was called and escorted to the exam.room. I was finished within 10-15 minutes and on my way home. The entire staff was AWESOME! Thanks

This place makes an art of misery. I waited over two hours before seeing a provider, despite making a time reservation in advance. I understand that urgent care entails waiting, but there is no requirement that they keep you totally in the dark about how long to expect to wait. Any communication would have helped. Of course, they made me pay right away when I arrived so I couldnt walk out without losing money. If anything, I feel like I got sicker from being here. You’re just endlessly trapped in a waiting room full of grumpy people coughing on each other. Theres no mask requirement despite this being a healthcare facility and one that is advertising COVID testing. If youre already sick and just want to torture yourself further, check this place out.The staff weren’t friendly and made no effort to communicate or make the experience less miserable. It would make a huge difference if they just gave you some idea of how long to expect to wait. (Also, what is the point of the time reservation system other than to give you false hope?)Once I saw the provider she was nice enough and seemed helpful, but if you can go anywhere else, I’d recommend using another option. If you’re very ill, you’ll probably pass out in the waiting room anyway.

My husband was seen here today, he tested positive for Covid last week and still isn’t feeling great so he decided to go in to hopefully get another test done and a note for work. He made an appointment ahead of time and waited 1 hour and 30 minutes before even being called back into a room and then waited an additional hour in the room. When the dr finally came in he was extremely rude and not thorough at all. They did not test him again nor did they check his vitals or anything else. They just sent him on his way with a 3 day note for work. This place is garbage, complete waste of money and time. Entire staff is rude, unfriendly and unprofessional.

Went here to have some staples removed from a gash I had in my head. Everyone in the office was so kind and courteous. I was in and out very quickly. I would highly recommend this urgent care to anyone.

I have been to this urgent care several times before and would not go any other place. Yesterday was no exception.I have arrived Sunday afternoon and all the ladies, from the front desk to nurses are very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. No waiting time.I had infected leg wound after injury and PA Ms Kelsey Bivacca, SHE IS THE BEST, very professionally cleaned my wound, took care of the infection and sent prescription to my pharmacy.I would give this clinic 10 stars!!!!Thank you girls, I was impressed. Again.👍👍👍
