Art of Acupuncture is a beautiful, healing space. For the past two months, Ive been seeing Katie Gibran for bilateral optic neuropathy—a condition my Western doctors deemed untreatable. Katie combines her exceptional clinical expertise with genuine warmth, understanding, and compassion. Emily is an amazing practitioner. She creates a safe, loving space where you can share what’s going on without judgement. She digs in deep to learn about what’s going on, asks questions and really listens to your answers. My treatment was relaxing and healing. She put needles in without any pain, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She explained everything as she went, giving me as much detail as I wanted and making me feel more seen and heard than I’ve been by a Doctor in a long time. Her manner and her open heart were so healing, even before we got to the acupuncture. She also used cups and gua sha, blending multiple techniques into a custom session that was exactly what my body needed. So excited to continue going back for more sessions.

Hannah is the absolute best! Not only did she dramatically help with my chronic headaches/migraines she has also been the most kind and caring person throughout the process. Hannah was great. I’ve seen her twice during my pregnancy once because my baby was breeched & we were able to get him to flip. I was doing spinning baby exercises, saw the chiropractor & acupuncture but I can say something definitely worked. I also just went as was seen to help with labor progression. Both times were enjoyable & she’s very personable.

Emily is a miracle worker! I have had debilitating neuropathy pain in my hands and feet from chemo and she has made it so much more manageable that its barely there. She provides such a relaxing environment that Im able to slow my thoughts and drift into a state of relaxation that I rarely get anywhere else. She has also helped with some of the other side effects of chemo that have really improved my quality of life. I have been getting acupuncture everywhere Ive lived for over 10 years but this is by far my favorite place Ive ever gone. Im the type to schedule last minute based on availability and Ive had the entire staff as my acupuncturist, including some former staff who are no longer there. Everyone has been excellent while also having their own unique style. Overall its a fantastic place with a very knowledgeable and compassionate staff.

This was my first experience with acupuncture. Art of Acupuncture was recommended by my cousins. The office is very nice, the staff is great and Hannah specifically is very knowledgeable medically and takes the time to understand your issues and explains the treatment fully. I made an appointment at the Art of acupuncture because I was struggling with overwhelming grief after the loss of my husband. I had trouble sleeping loss of appetite and was Constantly Edgy. My daughter did a lot of research and found the art of acupuncture so I made an appointment and was blessed to find Kecia Fowler. As I get older I needed a caring ear due to all of my aches & pains and they listen, they hear you. In the middle of a sensation, if I remembered something that had not come up previously, Emily is right on top of it. I swear she anticipates my need before I even know I needed anything. She is magic when she reads my pulses.I have also started their meditation class and have had my world rocked with my introduction to myself, as well as, their knowledge, patience, and the calming effect of this class.

I want to express my deep gratitude to Kecia and the staff at Art of Acupuncture. Kecias skill has allowed me to walk and function like a normal person. Fibromyalgia robbed me of many activities, and finally of my career of 31 years as a teacher. I saw many specialists, but no doctor had a holistic approach like Kecia has. I feel better from my head to my feet!

I was very nervous before going into the initial acupuncture appointment. I was unsure what to expect but was referred from my Shady Grove Fertility Facebook page. It was easy to make this appointment online and Hannah had appointments available in the timeframe that I needed. I made the appointment and once I arrive to their office and walked in I was welcomed with a smile and she knew my name right away. She let me know where the bathroom was if I needed it and told me where my room would be. Hannah came in with a smile on her face and I immediately felt at ease. I made this appointment due to the fact that I am currently going through IVF treatments and I am looking to do another transfer soon. She went over my health history, my concerns, lab work that I previously had done, my previous miscarriages (when she asked about this she asked if it was ok to talk about considering my feelings first). We also discussed other areas of concern, went through different body systems and diet and exercise. I never felt judged, I did not feel like I was pushed to do one thing or another and I felt open to talk about anything with her. After the acupuncture session she told me that she emailed me a list of supplements that she recommends but did not push me to get them at all. I very much enjoyed this session and felt at ease as I left. She put an action plan into place for my journey and once I got home I saw that she emailed me much more than supplement recommendations and I am currently going through all of that. Would highly recommend Hannah!

Mary Ann at the front desk couldn’t have been LESS helpful or friendly. Instead of providing me service, she told me I was barred from seeing the provider I booked with, whom I had only discovered from several recommendations from family. Meanwhile, I’m bedridden needing immediate pain management and this person was nothing but rude and condescending, at one point laughing when I expressed what issue I was having.I don’t EVER leave reviews but this interaction was absurd. The furthest thing from helpful or empathetic to my pain. Address who is representing you on the phone and at your front desk….I will never be back.

I had one of the toughest years in 2022 that I’ve ever experienced both mentally and physically. I honestly couldnt have made it through without Kecia Fowler. I was experiencing significant pain from acute pericarditis and many side effects from the drugs I was taking to treat it. After going through a traumatic accident dr walters helped treat me and took my health and injuries into mind. she treated me with care and her practice really did heal my body to its fullest. Her treatment’s are 100% worth having and very relaxing and healing.

I highly recommend Dr. Walters to anyone experiencing pain. Since February, after my bunion surgery, I have had an unresolved pain issue on the pad of my let foot. I could not put weight on the ball of my foot without pain. I have tried steroid shots, orthotics, meds, and PT but nothing worked. I am fit 59 year old female and a 4 time cancer survivor. In the past I have used a combination Western and Eastern medicine to treat the pain of cancer related issues. I thought I would give acupuncture a try as it helped me tremendously in the past. I went to Dr. Walters yesterday and she did a variety of treatments on my body. Gods honest truth I walked across the floor for the first time since February 15, 2022 with ZERO pain in my foot. I was in tears. I thought I was going to have to have yet another surgery, but even today after my morning walk it feels GREAT. I am heading back next Friday for another appointment. This morning my husband said you have the spring back in your step.
