The care team made me feel very safe and comfortable.You could definitely feel that each of the employees here definitely wanted to be there to help you and I’m so grateful they made an already scary experience a little easier.After moderate sedation I barely anything besides discomfort no pain. It was quick.

I went in for an IUD removal and re-insertion. Everyone was equally helpful and patient, from the receptionist to the nurses. Both the nursing assistant and the practitioner for the procedure, Emily, were so kind and accommodating every step of the way. I was terrified and lost my composure a couple times, and they did everything to make me feel more at ease during what is a very painful process. She asked me about my son and nice music was playing in the background. It was as relaxing as something like that can be lol. I will definitely be back here!

I had such a great experience in this place. Everyone is friendly and professional, from the front desk to the Doctors. Dr. Rebeca and her assistant Laura were very professional and very gentle. This is my favorite Planned Parenthood, I can’t say enough :) thank you everyone !!! :)

Left me in a room for 20 minutes after I was done. They didn’t check my labs correctly the first time so they couldn’t do my Pap smear because they had to do tests again. Waste of time.

I went in for a procedure and everyone I encountered within the building was extremely helpful and attentive. Everyone that was helping me made me feel comfortable and welcome which Im so greatful for. I was worried about the during and after for my procedure but i had a nurse with me for almost the whole thing, which I found really comforting. I got mild sedation and didnt feel anything thankfully. While in the recover room, I was offered many snacks and drinks and had someone with me too but on the other side of a curtain which i really loved. Snacks and drinks were actually offered before the procedure too! Regarding parking, it is small but there is a free vallet where someone will wait for another car to leave and then move yours into a proper space. Overall, it was an amazing and comforting experience. I definitely recommend this location.

Had such a good experience here. Everyone was so friendly. I had to receive sedation and I felt truly taken care of. I was honestly shocked about how well it all went. I definitely recommend making an appointment, the third floor is where they could possibly take walk ins but it’s not promised, but they look into openings at other locations for you and even order a Lyft if you need it. A good trick about coming here is to park or be dropped off in their back parking lot, and take the elevator inside their little parking garage, up into their building to avoid the protesters out front from screaming and shaming you and planned parenthood.

I never leave reviews but this place is so amazing, the nurses and everyone is so nice and they do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible

I had an absolutely wonderful experience here. I have been through the ringer since learning my baby had no heartbeat about eight weeks ago. The entire experience at my doctors office was downright terrible. I never had the actual miscarriage naturally, and I am so happy I ended up going to Planned Parenthood instead. Healthcare in this country is broken. However, Planned Parenthood is a shining star. Everyone there was 1000 times nicer and so helpful. I really felt safe and comfortable and all the medical staff went over the top to ensure my experience was the best it could be for my D and C procedure. Celia and Maria particularly stuck out to me, but everyone was fabulous. I am very grateful.

You know? If this location (3rd floor) were an Airbnb listing they would easily be blocked from taking appointments for 2 weeks. Luckily this review is extremely kind.5 stars for front desk 1st and 3rd floor because they just do their thing.5,000 stars for 1st floor techs and nurses because they deserve the world.2 stars for back office 3rd floor.I’ll keep review at 3 stars because of the wonderful previous experiences at this location full of care, kindness, maturity and understanding.Facility overall has continued to be clean inside and out with a guard present outside. Today, no weird abortion people by the property midday, new worker getting trained was trying hard and listening carefully, front desk was ok with questions, view was nice too. The team was working hard to keep appointments moving smoothly and honestly I’ve never seen a PP work so quickly. I was in and out!Thank you First Ave PP Team for trying but maturity, understanding and attitude could be improved in the front and back office areas.3 stars.

All the ladies here are phenomenal. We unfortunately had a miscarriage this week and I needed a D&C procedure. All the staff here were caring and had excellent bed side manner. On the most difficult day of my life , they made me comfortable safe and I felt cared for. They made this whole difficult situation a bit easier than I expected. Very professional, informative, and as easy as it could be. Thank you for the care I received today, it’s hard finding good medical care but y’all truly went above and beyond and helped my family and i through a very tough situation. 🥰 we’re glad we chose y’all!

Out of all the Planned Parenthood locations I’ve been to in SD, this one has to be my favorite. The staff, from the front desk to the NPs, is very attentive and informative. One time my wait time was longer than anticipated but I believe it was because they were short staffed which I understand. Most of the time the wait time is very short if it’s not busy of course. The parking lot is also decent, there’s always spots!

Stay away unless you dont have insurance and require their services. I went here with my insurance paying for everything but it wasnt worth it. The doctors and the nurses are extremly rude and unprofessional. Got to my appt 5 minutes early, wasnt seen until 50 minutes after. Then put me in another waiting room without telling me the process. Then waited another 15minutes. When I asked the nurse the status she was quick to respond with an attitude.

I enjoyed my time here. The facility is very clean, it has a security door to the waiting room so unwelcomed guests cant come in. Theres tons of comfortable chairs. The staff was nice and friendly. I was seen quickly. The doctor was intelligent and very knowledgeable in what he was doing. Professional quality care. I would come again. The parking lot is a steep hill, but thats the only downside. Wheelchair accessible but steep. Definitely would recommend this place.

I went here for a procedure and obviously I was very nervous, but the nurses/doctor I had were so sweet and amazing to me they all made that time more comfortable for me. They kept talking to me and asking how I was, I 10/10 recommendation this place

Very very bad with time management there. Been there about 56 times. They scheduled you for 140 and make you wait an hour then you still wait once youre taken back a good 20 minutes plus I would not recommend the location in Mission Valley Mimi Brian Center is awful. There is no reason in the world. Someone should have to wait that long when youre scheduled for an appointment fixture time management would not recommend this place unless you have all the Time in the world.

Recently moved to SD and experienced great care at this office. With a appointment the wait wasnt too bad. I do advise to come early for check in. The people at the front desk and workers were nice. They made me feel comfortable and safe.

The staff on the phone and at the facility is AMAZING!! I wish that they could be my primary care. They make you feel so comfortable. The wait is a little long sometimes but if you think about so is a hospital or regular doctor. Even when you have an appointment usually you’re seen an hour after you check in depending on how busy it is. Always plan to go in 3 hours before work or when you have nothing to do that day.

The staff are angels (including the doctors) They went above and beyond for me to make sure I felt comfortable, at ease & welcome. If youre looking for a warm, judgement-free clinic, this is it. Thank you for what you do!

Could’ve sworn I left a review here before buut I’ve gone to this place for years and literally every time I come here they have the nicest staff. Even today when they were pretty behind with their appointments everyone seemed super apologetic and were very transparent about it. If you ever feel iffy about getting tested or any sort of services I’d highly recommend this location to make sure you feel comfortable and cared for. Ryan and Yadira took care of me today and couldn’t have had a better experience with them

Have visited this clinic sporadically throughout the years, in between jobs and insurance. Have always been treated great, seen promptly & given what I request. On my most recent visit last week, Beverly the counselor was super informative & pleasant to talk to. NP Kalle was also very nice and gave me several pill options to consider. Qualifying for the state insurance plan is amazing! I had to pay nothing for all these wonderful services. This is especially appreciated more now in light of the new ruling with Hobby Lobby :/

Today I went in for the cleaning of my uterus. Basically like an in clinic abortion due to a miscarriage. I was so scared because of all the one star reviews on different PPS but today I went in. My RN was Ana and she was so lovely ! She did my ultrasound answered ALL THE QUESTIONS I HAD and when I told her I was scared she offered to be in the room with me. Then my IV nurse (also RN) cameIn answered more questions and finally the doctor came in I can’t remember her name but she was a young blonde INCREDIBLY NICE. I was emotional during the process and they held my hand spoke to me the entire time wiped away my tears helped me get dressed because I was drowsy gave me a heating pad and blankets bc it was cold etc... I felt like they CARED ! Which was the most important thing for me. Ana honestly started out my experience beautifully and the rest of the staff took it home. I never thought I would find myself in this clinic going through this process but the nurses here were amazing. If this is your first time don’t be scared ! They won’t let you go through this alone. The attention to detail and privacy are immaculate.

Im new to San Diego and was nervous about finding health care. Ive never had such fast, easy, friendly, and effective care as I did at this facility. Emily my doctor and Juan my intake nurse were phenomenal... the test was fast and painless with medication on the spot. Will definitely recommend this facility in the future!! Thank you so much PP.

My time went EXTREMELY WELL. Though I have a check-in at a PP center much closer to me tommorow to make sure everything is going okay. I had an appointment at 8:50am. I have arrived 20 minutes early. ( Its always best to arrive at least 15-20 minutes early before a doctors appointment to fill out any paperwork needed before you are seen at the time you scheduled, when you do this you usually have a higher chance of being seen the time you selected. Dont underestimate weather, traffic leave early and dont trust the Google map arrival time 100%) . I believe I was the first person there for the day. It was empty when I arrived. The staff was very kind and professional and checked on me 3 times asking me if I was confident that it was MY CHOICE to terminate the pregnancy, not somebody elses or if I was forced to do it. There was only 2 protesters outside at the time. There is an armed security guard right infront of them that can monitor on how rowdy/negative they can get. Luckily my driver/escort held my hand and simply refused any probably wrong scientific information they were trying to hand out. Security guards who are armed carry a much more higher responsibility than the unarmed ones and take their job very seriously. I know because Ive taken their training. The guard was extremely kind to me and my escort. (Protestors will shout things at you. Wear noise canceling headphones with music while your escort assists you. If they EVER put their hands on you violently consider getting a concealed carry or a tazer, pocket knife, pepper spray.) I ended my pregnancy at 4 weeks, so nothing was visible on the ultrasound. But because I did it so early they warned me its absolutely crucial to show up to appointments the next day to make sure your hCG is dropping. Anyways I had a safe professional time. And would recommend anybody to go if they need to.

They provided wrongful information which caused my treatment to remove tissue that according to them could lead to cancer. They were not helpful when I tried to retrieve the medical records that my new Gynecologist requested so I could go in for a high priority visit. I tried going into the office, calling the nurses, as well as their medical records department, and no luck. This isnt the first time that PP has made a mistake - I was in a lot of pain and kept getting infections from an IUD they inserted, every time I went in for a check up I was told it was normal, after I finally went to a doctor outside this organization and he told me that it was all a sign of my body rejecting the device and they shouldve removed it long ago.I have filed a complaint against this organization.

Just made a next-day appointment. Very surprised I could get in so soon for a general womens health check-up. The staff was informative, friendly and courteous. Email and text appoint reminders are definitely a convenient, 21st C feature.

I called for help today and Karen answered. She was short, rude and no help at all. She didn’t even look for an appointment when I requested and just lied about not having anything available. She is a poor face for this organization.

They were wonderful. Emily Boyle was my physician, and she was very sweet and helpful. They do a great job making you feel comfortable.

Staff are rude they look at you up and down before going in. They think they are all that ... They ask questions before reading the system and tbh I dont like answering questions when they got all the information in the system.. I dont like repeating myself and when have nurses have authority to get acrylic nails while working last time I checked that can translate bacteria to patients

DO not go to this facility. They are the most heartless, cruel and inflexible medical facility I have ever been to. If you are 15 minutes late they will not see you. Even though you drove 2 hours in the rain. Their lack of empathy is vile and hypocritical. Do NOT go to this facility they will fail you.

It is so nice to receive affordable health care by well trained, trusting individuals. I never feel nervous Or scared going here...which can happen at a reproductive doctors office. Highly recommend this facility!

Went for a visit and was told during a process with the doctor to wait for the incubation period. Received weird calls from planned Parenthood about what to keep an eye on when the results dont add up for years later. Creepy. One star!

I went here to get an abortion jun 4th 2015 they killed the baby but never took the fetus out..I wasnt bleeding For the first month, I called a week after my abortion telling them I wasnt bleeding and if I should come in and get seen because I didnt think the baby was gone, they told me that they were sure the baby was gone and that it could take a few months for my bleeding to start. i called again 2 weeks later still concerned the baby was still there the nurse I spoke with told me its fine and its was normal to not bleed for the first few weeks, the nurses never suggested I go to the Dr and get seen .. Well a month later july 5th I started bleeding out of control going through a pad with in 5 min no plan parenthood was open I called a nurse and asked what I should do she told me I should go to the er and I did well the hospital had to remove the fetus.. My insurance didnt cover the hospital visit and parent planhood doesnt want to cover the cost of my hospital visit. Telling me I should have never went to the er and I should have went to a parent planhood which isnt open on Sundays ... They are more or less telling me its my fault that they left the dead fetus in me and I should be responsible for paying my medical bill because i went to the er and not a parent planhood...

The team was professional and kind and wait time was reasonable. Seems like most of the low ratings are from 3+ years ago.

I DID NOT EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO MEET AND TALK WITH MY DOCTOR BEFOREHAND, THEY ARE RUSHING PEOPLE IN AND OUT SO THAT THEY CAN MAKE THE MOST PROFIT THEY POSSIBLY CAN IN ONE DAY! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS OR THEIR BABIES, WHICH THEY REPEATEDLY REFERRED TO AS FETUS OR TISSUE! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLANNED PARENTHOOD AT ALL COSTS!!!!

The Entrance is very small and awkward but the nurses are very helpful and they really care, they answer all my questions.

Scheduled an appointment for birth control and wasnt called back until an hour and half past my appointment time then sat in a room for another half hour before the Dr came in.
