The process was long but Lucina Egg Bank makes sure to do a lot of screening and tests to make things are safe for the donors and the recipients. Ellen was my coordinator throughout the process and she was very patient about answering all my questions and when I messed up with filling out the financial information she helped me figure it out. Even after donation the nurses and coordinator checked in on me multiple times to make sure I was in good health so I really think if you are considering donating this is the place to go. My only qualms was the hotel that I had to stay in that was near the clinic had a lot of issues but my coordinator, Ellen, helped me work that out as well.

The egg donation process was long but they make sure everything is safe by running a lot of tests and screenings. Alisa was my coordinator and I wouldnt like it any other way. The egg retrieval was fast and smooth and they monitor you closely. Dr. Vu was very caring and he always answered my questions. I would definitely do this again.

Unbelievable, I filled out the egg donation application online and I answered all the questions honestly and then it said that I was pre approved and it said to call the phone number given to continue the process. I get the call back and I was asked questions again and told about how the process would work and everything during the phone call, few hours later after finish the call I receive an email that says we will not be continuing with the egg donation process and did not even state any reason why. I dont know if all egg donation places are the same or how it works exactly but I am pretty sure that the egg donation centers are supposed to add your name to a database and people looking for egg donors are supposed to look and you are supposed to wait for someone to chose you. I was also told you you dfe supposed to go through blood tests and different things too as the process to make sure you are able to donate, but literally I received an email being denied to continue the egg donation process within a few hours after the phone call before I even got any kind of blood work or any tests or anything done when I could have possibly been a good fit on top of not even getting a reason why I was rejected without even proceeding with any blood tests. Its honestly a real shame because I was really looking forward to donating, not just for the money but the experience. What makes me feel the worst is that I got the email saying we will not be continuing with the donation process without any reason or e to see if I was a good fit in the first place.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience with Lucina Egg Bank. My husband and I have gone thru years of IVF with own egg, we were heavily advised to go donor egg route which was guaranteed to be an easy process and would yield us better results. We decided to purchase donor eggs from Lucina Egg Bank, which had a one blast guarantee. The first cohort we received yielded 0 blasts, I was told they almost didn’t want to replace these eggs as 2 eggs reached early blast however they arrested by day 7. I was floored by this response, they did finally replace the cohort. In the replacement cohort, one of the eggs was so poor in quality that it appeared black, which is absolutely unacceptable and 2 didn’t even thaw. By Day 5, I only had one early-stage blastocyst, we decided to transfer hoping for a miracle but it didn’t take and all the other eggs arrested by day 7 again. My doctor is 100% certain that it was egg quality and shocked to see both cohorts yield such poor results and advised us to never use this egg bank again.The quality of the eggs provided does not reflect the standards that Lucina claims to uphold. They claim on their website 54.1% blastocyst formation, out of 12 eggs we got a big fat 0%. Even worse, I have heard from others who have had similar experiences, suggesting there may be deeper quality control issues within this company.After spending significant time, money, and emotional energy, I feel completely let down by Lucina Egg Bank. If you’re considering purchasing donor eggs, I strongly advise you to do thorough research and explore other options. This has been an incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking journey for me.I would not recommend Lucina Egg Bank to anyone based on my experience.

I recently donated my eggs with lucina egg bank and I am forever grateful that I chose this egg bank to go with. Everyone from the front desk lady to the doctors and coordinators (many)!! but they were all super nice and amazing people and they made this process so easy for me. All the times I was unsure about something and needed help, they were a text/call away. Also the amazing doctor and all the nurses made me feel comfortable and less anxious from beginning of the process till the day of egg retrieval procedure. Thank you all so much!

Lucina Egg Bank has been amazing to me. I just completed my first egg donation and it went better than I could have ever hoped for. My coordinators, nurses, and even my doctor have been so kind and comforting. Egg donation is not easy and can take toll on your body, but with the constant reassurance of Lucina it went smoother. I had 24/7 access to Lucina for any questions or concerns during the whole process. They answer right away as if they are any normal friend! I appreciate everyone and I know the future families I have donated too will also have an amazing experience with Lucina. Lucina is VERY thorough with health screening and all safety measures. I wanna give a special thank you to Dr. Ho, Mitzi, Dina, Lynnette, Myra, and Sarah B, the young man who did my anesthesia and the young lady who wheelchaired me out. I am so sorry I forgot your names for the last two but you guys have made this process so amazing! I was so nervous since it was my first time and they made laugh and smile to forget my stress. I was calmed instantly. Lucinas staff is perfect for anyone who may be timid or nervous like me, and if youre not it will be even better for you. Thank you so much Lucina for this amazing process! This is my fair and honest review about Lucina Egg Bank. First off, I want to say I know what you are going through reading this and I hope my review helps you.My husband and I have been on this journey for a little over a year with more heartache than I’d like to admit. The previous egg bank we used was extremely disappointing so now that we used up all our smart cycles we are paying out of pocket for everything going forward. I made a profile so I could look at the donors. I have to say I’m not a huge fan of the website. It’s not very user friendly in my opinion and I wish there were more filters like blood type and RH positive or negative. With that said, my personal coordinator Khenly was wonderful. I had a decent 20 min conversation with her and asked a bunch of questions. The one that stuck out the most was why most of their Caucasian donors were from Ukraine. Interestingly enough it gives the intended parent(s) a lot more options while still meeting the Caucasian Ethnicity which I found kinda cool. I found out Lucina has an office over seas as well and they don’t outsource any of the medical care for the donors which I really liked. For context we used another Egg bank and out of 12 eggs 11 thawed, 6 fertilized normally 2 made it to blast and 1 passed PGT that was very low quality. I didn’t want to have that experience again. Khenly explained their process picking donors and was able to email me the full profiles along with genetic testing information. I kept this woman BUSY! I probably had at least 10 different profiles I wanted to see over the course of a few days. She was completely on top of it and when our first pick didn’t work with our clinic my husband and I had a back up already selected . Khenly kept in touch with me just about everyday which did feel a little pushy at times but I also understand she has a job to do as well. Every one of my emails were responded to within a couple hours and she had a phone number I could text or call directly to her which was a huge bonus. I really did feel like she was there for me throughout the entire process. Payment was super easy and I was given a receipt via email. I will update once the eggs are fertilized. This was my personal experience and my opinions only.

I’m posting this review as an egg donor who just completed her egg retrieval 3 days ago at their Irvine location. I’m giving 5 stars as I had a wonderful experience. I worked with a number of people (too many names to remember), and they were all so professional and supportive, which helped so much considering it’s my first time donating and I definitely felt scared and nervous at times. Ellen who was my primary coordinator during the final stage of the egg donation was especially amazing. She was always a call or text away, answered any question I had and made sure I was always on track with my medications and appointments. I couldn’t imagine doing this without her help. All in all, my experience with Lucina has been positive and also very fulfilling, I would do it again. :)

My wifes doctor recommended Lucina to us when we were searching for donor eggs for our IVF treatment. We were blown away by how quickly they were able to find our donor and ship the eggs to our clinic. It took a little over 3 weeks start to finish. This was a hard step for us to take initially and now that we made it past first trimester, all of that is in the past and we are so grateful to have this chance to be parents.

I just completed the egg-sharing program at Lucina Egg Bank. I was very pleased with my process, I had multiple coordinators who helped me and educated me along the way. I was happy with the timeline and results for the procedure. Dr. Behbehani from Coastal Fertility Medical Clinic was very professional, compassionate and I was confident in her skills to perform my egg retrieval. My retrieval went smoothly and my recovery was quick and easy. I would definitely use Lucina Egg Bank again if my future fertility situation calls for it.

After all of the lab work I unfortunately wasn’t able to a become an egg donor. I’m an tecaher and had planned on completing the process in the summer. Lucina stated that they would pay for all of the labs. When I received the news that I couldn’t continue with the process I bummed out because trying to complete the donor process during the school year took a lot of extra time. A few months later I received a bill for one of labs, even though we are told that the agency would pay for all of the lab work. I emailed them but, never received a response. It’s honestly messed up because now it’s an added bill I wasn’t planning on having. The agency needs to explain to potential egg donors that if they aren’t able to follow through with the donation that we are required to pay out of pocket fees for the lab work. It very deceitful.

As an egg donor the process was very strenuous and had its ups and downs, however the coordinator I was paired with, Ellen, showed me so much kindness, understanding and patience. She made sure I understood every step of the process and was able to answer any and all questions I had about being a donor and my upcoming donation.Additionally, Dr. Ho and all the nursing staff I met with made me comfortable about going through a different type of procedure Ive never been through. Dr. Ho took the time to make sure I was comfortable with him and the nurses I had grown comfortable with stayed by my side until I did.

I was skeptical starting this process because there were not many reviews about Lucina from the recipient point of view. I tried my best to look up other sites that might offer insight but there were not many people that actually left reviews.I havent had my IVF appointment with my clinic yet but unless my clinic finds something terribly wrong with the eggs, it would not be fair to hold Lucina liable if implantation is not successful. So this review so far is strictly about the process.I must say that this has been the most pleasant and stress free experience. From the moment I filled out the contact form until the delivery of the donor eggs to my facility in NY, my account reps Lycel and Khenly have been nothing short of amazing.They responded promptly to my laundry list of questions. They took the time to explain the process and procedure of viewing donor profiles, selecting a donor, purchasing the eggs and shipping, from beginning to end. They were patient and kind even at times when I was frustrated. I really felt like they cared and that I wasnt just a sale to them.The donor profiles are very diverse. As a black woman sometimes the donor offerings are slim pickings and you may feel forced to just be grateful and pick someone. But with Lucina, there were so many choices so I felt confident that my baby would resemble me. I do wish they had more information on their donors. I noticed that other egg banks have more extensive information on their donors. However, I checked with my clinic and the most important information was there so that was more of a personal preference.I compared Lucina to a lot of other donor banks before I made the decision. The prices are generally the same so you are really just looking at profiles and their service, communication and success records. I feel like I made the right choice.If you have any questions about the process dont hesitate to reach out to Lucina. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. If I am able, I will update my status once I have my procedure.

I just completed my egg retrieval today, as of a few hours ago. I will say it went much smoother and easier than I expected which was a relief. My coordinators Ellen and Dina were very easy to communicate with and they made sure to help me every step of the way, I never had any problems with them or the clinic at all.Dr. Ho, who did my retrieval, was very nice and upbeat. He was also very funny, making it easy to be comfortable around.I’m still in recovery right now but as of right now, I would definitely recommend going with Lucina Egg Bank for anyone wanting to be an egg donor!

I just finished my egg retrieval today and I gotta say the doctors and coordinators at Lucina were the absolute sweetest since I started this process back in October 2023 ! It was such a smooth and productive process with amazing communication throughout and the doctors were very reassuring and kind ! Dr. Ho did my retrieval and made sure I was good before and after post op ! If you are considering on helping out a family bring a little one into the world and overall just helping someone out definitely come here !! :)

I just finished my first egg donation cycle with Lucina (Oct 2023-Mar 2024) and my journey with them has been nothing short of amazing!! All of the team members from both Lucina & CFMC (Ellen, Addie, Faye, Sam, Dr. B, MJ, etc.) were all very nice & accommodating during my entire journey. My coordinatior Ellen was always so gracious and prompt. Dr. Behbehani (Dr. who performed my retrieval) was amazing as well. She’s very reassuring and knowledgeable.From the very beginning, any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly and honestly.Outside monitoring appointments, labwork, etc. were never an issue, the team members were always there to assist me every step of the way. My egg retrieval went very well and I’ve had zero recovery issues!!!! :) If you’re looking for a trustworthy egg bank to donate your eggs to, without a doubt, Lucina Egg Bank is who you should choose! I enjoyed my experience and I hope to donate with them again sometime in the future.

I was able to donate my eggs through Lucina in Irvine with Coastal Fertility Medical Clinic. I had such an amazing, easy experience. The appointments were quick, the procedure was quick, and effortless. They handled everything for me! I hope to be able to do it again!

I had a great experience donating my eggs with Lucina Egg Bank. The process went smooth for the most part and the coordinators and nurses were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any questions I had. Sarah from the RSMC OR team was very helpful and always checked in on me post egg retrieval. She made sure to answer my concerns and gave me helpful advice to reduce the pain and bloating.Lucina also took care of all my travel and accommodation expenses. The hotel was decent and not far from the clinic. The egg retrieval procedure was easier than I expected.Although two weeks post retrieval I found out I had huge painful ovarian cysts, which I knew was a risk. Once this got brought up to their attention they didn’t seem too concern or really care. They just told me they’ll schedule me another post egg retrieval appointment, which I’m still patiently waiting for a week later. I’ve got the feeling that once they get what they want from you (eggs), you’re no longer their problem or concern.There was also a few times when I went to my outside monitoring appointments for my ultrasounds and the card Lucina had on file for the outside monitoring clinic to charge ended up declining, causing me to come back and reschedule.Other than those issues/inconveniences my egg retrieval journey with Lucina was decent.

Lucina Egg Bank has offered me a wonderful first experience as an egg donor. My coordinator and main point of contact had to be changed a few time based on different stages of the process. Charmaine, Faye, Lynette, Amanda, and Reah were all huge helps in my process !I had a slight hiccup regarding my schedule and availability but these coordinators were able to work with me and we found a solution!The process was explained to me fully and multiple times as well. The nurses and Dr. Behbehani were great and accommodating here at the Irvine CA fertility clinic. Travel and hotel was paid in advance. I always felt welcomed by staff and my questions and concerns were never disregarded

Absolutely horrible experience. The egg donor coordinators at Lucina are quite literally the most heartless people I have ever come into contact with. They do not care about your health or preferences - I’ll they desire is getting money. As a previous donor I let them know that I am very conscious about OHSS and they said they would lower my dosages only to find out they gave me higher than traditional dosages which resulted in ovarian contortion and both the donor coordinators and doctor could care less about helping me through this process and even mentioned I was “just being dramatic”Save your time and don’t go to this clinic. They have zero care for there patients - quite literally worst experience of my life.

I just finished my third donation with Lucina. All three times have gone very smoothly. This cycle I even made a few special requests and Ellen was very ontop of them and helped me through it all!

I applied to this company as an egg donor, and I had the safest, smoothest process. The final two weeks of the process was easy thanks to everyone involved, with step by step guidance, via txt, video and in person demonstrations on how to properly take medications and self injections safely. Theyre very patient and even got me over my fear of needles. The whole lucina team was extremely accomadating and super attentive to my needs. I was never once uncomfortable or hesitant to ask questions. The day of my egg retrieval was such a good experience, they know what theyre doing, and im still being checked up on after surgery, to make sure Im still having a smooth healing process. This was my first time donating eggs, and I would 10/10 do it again.
