My favorite Acupuncturist! I always feel supported and so much more relaxed when I leave. Just such a good place to go and leave it on the table. Anna and the team are outstanding, and you can tell they just LOVE what they do.

I have had acupuncture a few times from a few different acupuncturists previously, but this was something else.Smriti did my treatment. She took the right amount of time to get to know me and my medical history before narrowing down something more specific to focus on for this session. She explained the process, answered questions, came up with a plan, and set a time for us to follow up.The treatment itself was strangely relaxing. I had the needles in for a 30 minutes, but it felt like half that. Smriti covered me with a blanket and turned on a heat lamp, so it was pretty cozy. She also gave me a button to press and call her if I need anything while resting.Their space felt like the perfect mix between clinic and spa, and that’s the perfect way to describe my treatment with Smriti at Lokahi. It was relaxing, warm, friendly, and, most importantly, effective. Acupuncture is a slow process, but I think I’m already noticing a bit of an improvement. I look forward to taking the herbs Smriti prescribes once they arrive. Thank you, Smriti!!

Dr Shmirti was absolutely wonderful. She asked me great questions, was very warm and friendly. This was my 1st time doing acupuncture and she answered all my questions and explained everything clearly. I have been having very painful headaches daily for the last 4 months and after my 1st acupuncture treatment I had no pain at all. It is the day after my 1st treatment and I am still pain free from my headaches. Also, for the 1st time in months I slept so good last night. I am looking forward to my upcoming and continued treatments to continue helping with my headaches in the long term. Highly recommend Dr. Shmirti and Lokahi Acupuncture.

Dr. Smriti s acupuncture session was fantastic. She listened to all of my physical complaints and effortlessly applied needles and cupping at the exact right areas I needed it especially my low back and knees. I felt great afterwards without any pain. Shes amazing!!

Ultimate relaxation!This was my first time trying acupuncture. I had an idea of how it would go and it was nothing of the sort. This was my first experience ever with accupuncture and it was an amazing experience. I have been suffering with pain in my neck and shoulder for 2 weeks. I tried going to the chiropractor a few times and was only getting minimal relief. I needed to find something new that would help me get rid of the pain I was going through. I had an appointment today 5/24 with Yun and she was very pleasant, patient, and very knowledgeable for the issues I have. I am going back and I definitely recommend her and the this place in general for anyone with excessive pain or even fertility issues. Some insurance is taken as well as FSA/HSA which is a win.

Coming to Lokahi Acupuncture with Andrea has been the best part of my selfcare journey. I have done acupuncture in the past but I did not feel any benefits from it. I have been undergoing a lot of stress, so I got the courage to try it again. I called the office and Geniene (the receptionist sorry if I misspelled her name) helped me. She is so welcoming and made me feel comfortable on making my first appointment. I chose to work with Andrea as my practitioner for her extensive background that covers what I was looking to work on. I have been working with Andrea since June and I look forward to each session. She has made me feel comfortable since the beginning. I like her energy and her communication style. Andrea has done several techniques with me based on her assessment for the day, so every session is different and purposeful. Andrea goes beyond what I expected to experience by providing me education and topics that arise during our session (I really appreciate education), referrals, suggestions on how to best take care of myself, and simply listening. I continue to work with Andrea and highly recommend her or anyone at this location :)

Wonderful experience. Melissa (the acupuncturist) took time to understand my issues, and performed a thorough assessment including examining my tongue, pulse, and performing abdominal palpations. Then Melissa explained what she felt was wrong, what she was going to do, and how it would help. And she was right! After my first treatment I can honestly say my symptoms improved, and I am very grateful for that. I am looking forward to my next appointment!

This was my first time seeing an acupuncturist. Catherine was amazing. So sweet and knowledgeable, gentle yet forceful. She made me feel very comfortable and heard. She knew the exact areas of my body to work on and I had almost immediate relief from the session. I was most surprised also that the the dry needling work she did. In just one session it increased my hips eternal range of motion drastically, more than Ive had in years. Truly incredible. Id highly recommend! Cant wait to go back soon.

This place is amazing! I saw Yun Hee for the initial treatment and she was wonderful! I highly recommend her! The whole office from when you walk in is clean and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and calming and the procedures Yun Hee did left my body feeling as if it was melting in relaxation when I left, compared to how tight it felt prior to. I will definitely keep this in my regular self-care routine and follow Yun Hes guidance and suggestions! She is a must-see!

I had my second Maya Abdominal Massage with Susannah Lee today, and what a treat it was! I know it’s helping my body to detox and heal, but it’s also so relaxing in the process.Susannah has a very gentle, intuitive, and nurturing touch. Being in her care for an hour and a half will leave you feeling rejuvenated and restored.I know this type of massage is very helpful for fertility. I sought it out for chronic pain and general wellbeing. I usually flare up easily from massage because it sends my body into detox, but Susannah adjusted the intensity of her care to suit my needs, and I’ve done just fine.I’m looking forward to continuing my care with her and feeling better with each session!

For years I tried myself to go and get acupuncture done. But I never got the courage together and found good excuses not to give this a try. Finally I did, thanks to a friend who did all the research. I got to see Cara and she first explained the procedure in great detail and after many questions, put together a good plan. While I was nervous, it faded away quickly and I also started to feel the impact very fast. My first session was a great success (sciatic never pain for me). The entire office is very friendly and warm, clean with a calming atmosphere. There is plenty of parking and truly a great experience. I can truly recommend Lokahi and Cara (although I am sure everyone else is also wonderful).

I’ve been frequenting lokahi for the past year. I’ve seen several practitioners here: JB for pain, Susannah and Andrea for fertility/prenatal Acupunture and Smriti for cosmetic Acupunture. I have seen great improvements in my physical and mental health after each visit. What sets lokahi apart from all other places in the Bay Area is that all the practitioners work really well together and share detailed notes about your progress, what worked well for you and they focus on that. I have been going to Cathryn acupuncture for 4 years now and LOVE it! Shes helped me through two pregnancies and has a wealth of knowledge that allows her to provide service through needles, cupping, herbs, and conversation. I had previously been seen at Lokahi in 2021 for several health reasons but stopped coming because like everything, I tend to put my health on the back burner. I went back to Lokahi this weekend and was having terrible right shoulder pain, tenderness, stiffness. I had my session with Susannah amd she recommended trying cupping therapy which I have never tried on myself, but had heard of it. Let me tell you!!! My pain, tenderness and stiffness improved 90% after my first session!! I am thrilled to go back next weekend for another session. Susannah is amazing!!!!

I am new to acupuncture, but I tried it to see if it would help with my thumb pain. I’m a realtor, so I spend a lot of time on my phone. All those emails and texts have taken their toll on my thumbs (at the base in the “meaty” muscle portion of my palms). When I visited Lokahi acupuncture, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and my practitioner, Sarah Popp. I thought it was cool that I was able to book my appointment online and view the backgrounds of their practitioners before selecting one. It’s clear that some of their focus is on infertility treatments, but some of their therapists specialize in pain management. The facility is clean, smells lovely, streams pleasant music, and just feels…legitimate, for lack of a better term. The treatment rooms are cozy and comfortable. They have white noise machines in each, so conversations are kept private. Heat lamps to keep you warm while you lay on the treatment table. The treatment was not painful at all. I wouldn’t even call it uncomfortable. The momentary “prick” is barely noticeable, a testament to Sarah’s gentle manner, no doubt. After a very pleasant first visit, I scheduled 3 more and have completed two of those. I had relief from the pain in my thumbs by the morning after my first treatment. Things have gotten busier with work, which means I’m on my phone even more. I’ve been expecting the pain to come back, but it hasn’t. I’m very new to eastern medicine, but I’m now a believer! Thank you, Sarah and the entire Lokahi team for taking such great care of me.

I am no stranger to acupuncture and have been going for over five years and have seen the same number of acupuncturists. That said, I have been so impressed by the level of care Ive received at Lokahi, specifically with Qin Zhu. Ive learned so many new things about my body and its constitution through Qin. Shes helped me address some ongoing health challenges, and I can say now, after seeing her for a month, that I see a significant change in my energy level, inflammation levels, and general well-being. Even my mood is better. Qin takes her time to listen and is not quick to jump to conclusions, which is really important to me as a patient. Went in for an Accupunture. The staff were pretty courteous and friendly. They scheduled appointment quickly based on my need and timeline. The place is well maintained and clean. The locality is also nice and residential. They followed with a greeting card by mail which was a good personal touch. acupuncturists are certified in China and authentic. The interns need a bit more training during sessions.

I have been a client for a few years and have worked with a number of practitioners. Everyone is awesome at Lokahi. You can not go wrong by choosing anyone. I have referred friends and family and highly recommend this acupuncture group.

I started feeling better after just one treatment. I’ve had two treatments. I’d been reaching out to doctor, allergy specialist and ENT for the past 2 years & they have failed tremendously. I started losing hope that I’ll ever feel ok without medication or antibiotics because they thought maybe it’ll resolve my symptoms. My acupuncturist (Catheryn) Is amazing, shes very considerate and caring and very skilled at what she does. Everything is clean and sanitary and they are very accommodating. Its always a calming and peaceful experience when I go in and has actually done a world of good with my issues. Ive been seen for knee and back pain and also for womens health issues. I think fertility is one of their specialties but they help with other issues such as endometriosis as well.

Ive always been skeptical of acupuncture, but when traditional chiropractor and physical therapy didnt help my shoulder pain, a friend recommended acupuncture and Im so glad I came here.Jax Chou was super attentive to what was going on, asked me a lot of great questions, and very attentive to my problem. Hes great with the needles and explained everything he was doing every step of the way. I totally trust Jax and would say that hes one of the best health professional that Ive gotten treatment from. My only regret was not coming here sooner.

Everyone there is really friendly and theyve gone out of their way to fit me in even when there really wasnt room. My practioner, Cathryn, is compassionate and extremely good at what she does. She always takes the time to get an update of whats going on with me, and never prescribes anything without a thorough search for any possible interactions with my other medication.
