For the past three years, Dr. Varghese has been my internist, doing my annual physical exams. He’s an outstanding doctor, and his nurse is exceptional as well. His scheduling assistant is also very professional and efficient. Dr. Varghese is extraordinarily thorough and positive, the type of person who takes the time to explain everything about how he evaluates my health. He shows me what every number on my blood work results means, and he’ll do another test if warranted after our discussion. He’ll also stop and listen when I have something to tell him, then look at everything again to be sure he hasn’t missed anything. As for the practice in general, the people who draw my blood have been efficient and positive. I’ve enjoyed conversations with them. The reception people at the front desk haven’t always been as energetic in welcoming me, but that has improved after I wished them a good day or a happy holiday. You get what you give, I suppose, but it would be better if the first person I saw seemed happier to see me.Still, I’m not really there to make a friend. I can’t imagine feeling more comfortable with and more confident in Dr. Varghese and his medical staff. This time, they started me using MyChart online to communicate with the doctor directly about test results and updates on my progress with goals. It saves us all a lot of time lost with phone calls.I’m very happy about my decision to pick Madison Medical.
Dr. Hexsel finally took care of a persistent lesion after two previous providers failed. Fast and efficient care! Would reasily ecommend her again and again… bonus points for the holiday card too!!
I used a dermatologist at this practice who was a phenomenal provider. And in general I had no issues with the practice at all. However billing and their customer service leaves so much to be desired that unfortunately I have chosen to go elsewhere. No way to pay the bill, blocked access in my chart, website broken, customer service untrained and the list goes on. Sadly, these customer service issues extend to other Ascension facilities as well. Sorry for the good providers that lose patients over the poor customer service and management.
Madison Medical Affiliates is a terrible medical group. Some of the doctors are very good and some are not very good, some doctors treat you like a number, some doctors are very caring. The staff especially Julie who is part of Clinic Management are absolutely disrespectfully and condescending. Their appointment procedure is outdated and inefficient. Some of the employees have a poor attitude, to be fair some are outstanding. But when you have a supervisor who is disrespectful you can see how some of the employees get their attitude from. I have had 4 doctors from Madison Medical, 2 were very good and 2 were not. Overall I would say away from this group of doctors.
Horrible experience!!! 🤬 I’ve yet to meet Dr. Ko because her policies are beyond ridiculous! After looking for a PCP and finally making a new patient appointment in September with Dr. Ko, I was told that I was unable to reschedule the appointment I made for tomorrow 01/18/2024 because I missed my labs due to hospitalization. I’ve literally been waiting since SEPTEMBER 2023 to see my chosen PCP and now I have to start this process all over again! 🥺 Whoever “Amy” is was very rude and short in answering my questions about the policies and made me feel as if there was some other reason besides human/system error that I was unable to still be seen. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to book an appointment here. If they could care less to extend help to a person in need, then once you’re a patient of theirs I’m sure there will be other things they definitely won’t care about. Avoid this office and Madison Medical Affiliates. They are not caring professionals. The only person with some actual common sense and kindness is Lisa, Dr. Ko’s scheduler. She deserves a raise and promotion!
Been coming here for years. Best doctors in the city. Ive never had any issues. I always recommend them to all my friends.
Horrible. I should have looked at the reviews here before booking my appointment. I was told to go on the 3rd floor when I belonged on the 2nd floor. Which made me late.I went to get labs done for a medical clearance Thursday morning. I was told by Dr. Betz that my results will be sent the next morning (Friday) He never sent them which caused me to spend more out my pocket to get it done in another state. Very inconvenient
Extremely poor customer service. Have to tell them my contact order was wrong 3 times, then the right order was brought out very rudely, like it was my fault! They dont give you an itemized receipt for service, which a requirement for FSA and IRS, even though I asked in advance! Only one person in the whole office knows how to that and she is never in? Very strange. I was in the market for a new pulmonologist but I not choose a place this poorly run.
I am a been of patient of Dr. Stepke in theGastroenterologist dept for about 10 years and have received nothing but exceptional care from him . I have a rare illness that many Drs. dont want to or know how to treat . When I have an appointment with Dr. Stepke he makes me feel like I am his only patient and we work as a team to manage my condition . I used to go to the Emergency department for help but would get dismissed because they dont understand what is my condition is . But now , under Dr. Stepkes care I have been able to avoid the ER almost completely .
Im the patient of Dr. Cory Owan, and I have the best experience ever! I was very nervous before the visit, since Im from Hungary and know nothing about US doctors, but she was very kind, helpful, and professional. She answered all of my questions, and didnt treat me like I was dumb at all. I wish I could take her with me back to Hungary :D
I have seen Dr. Betz for routine physicals, as well as, walk-ins. I’ve had nothing but great experiences.Pros- Ease of getting appointments- Efficiency of the office staff and nurses (never waited more than 15 mins to be brought in)- Thoroughness of Dr. Betz and his ability to relay medical information in Lehman’s terms- Follow-up (I’ve always received a call from the office checking in)Cons- N/A
Jill and Melissa are two of the sweetest girls ever. I was always in and out with my blood work. I was a little upset when I found out Melissa left to work for another company. The guys there dropped the ball there, she was a hard worker, super efficient and very informative
Columbia St. Marys has an affiliation with this group. The people that work for Madison Medical Affiliates are horrible! They are unresponsive, rude and irresponsible. Im going to change providers and recommend against using Ascencion hospitals because of this affiliation.
Place is run so poorly. Added a new phone system that makes it impossible to even talk to a someone to speak to a specific clinic within thr building. Its Friday, Im diabetic, and I cant get ahold of my doctor. Thanks guys
Like many large institutions, the administration is terrible. Doctors try their best but the administration is incompetent, indifferent and unaccountable. My best advise is to go elsewhere.
Dr. Fayad is amazing. Reception was not the kindest at times but Dr. Fayad is truely amazing
Outstanding patient service and care by providers and staff.
Izzy , Louise and the other staff are highly unprofessional.
