Dr. Martin’s practice accepted me with no issues even though I was so far along. Currently, I have had 3 appointments and I can confidently say that I couldn’t recommend Dr. Martin enough for MANY reasons. I no longer wait over an hour for my OB appointments. In the past 3 appointments the longest I’ve waited was (maybe) 8 minutes. The quickest being 30 seconds. My other OB said I wasn’t high risk, but when going to Dr. Martin she explained that I was due to some health issues noted by BOTH doctors. This made me feel that she cared a lot more about myself and my unborn baby than the other practice. Dr. Martin is kind and very upfront about everything. She does not beat around the bush which is appreciated. I see her at every appointment which is very nice because she will be catching my child as he comes out. I’m glad I get to actually know the doctor who is about to change my life. This is the only OB I know of where you see the doctor every visit and have a detailed patient portal where you can ask questions and get a quick response even if it’s 3 in the morning. This woman does it all! I am so happy with the care I receive here with Dr. Martin.
I was considered a higher risk pregnancy due to gestational diabetes. Dr. Martin monitored me and baby much more closely due to this diagnosis. I am so grateful for her thoroughness and careful monitoring of her patients.At my 39 week appointment, she noticed baby’s heart rate was starting to drop and said I needed for go into the hospital for an induction. We were hoping for a natural delivery if possible, but ultimately I wanted to do whatever was best for baby. I labored for less than 6 hours after the induction began, and due to the epidural, my labor was almost completely pain free and our baby boy came out healthy as can be! I recommend Dr. Martin to anyone looking for a diligent and thorough OB!
I’m a first time mom and Dr. Martin just recently delivered my baby. My husband and I are self pay patients and Dr. Martin and her office were great working with us. I received the same standard of care as an insured patient. Dr. Martin is very clear and direct and I was very well informed on her methods, directions, and suggestions from the beginning of my pregnancy till the moment my daughter was born.My delivery was challenging because I have a small pelvis but Dr. Martin was still able to help me deliver vaginally and avoid a c-section. My baby girl was born healthy and at four days old she’s happy too.I cannot recommend Dr. Martin and her office staff highly enough. My baby and I were extremely well cared for and I will be happy to have Dr. Martin deliver my future children as well.
Dr. Martin was fantastic! We were very happy with the delivery process. She was very calm and reassuring through the entire pregnancy and delivery. I really liked her method for induction and had a great birth of my second child. I 100 percent recommend her to anyone. Her staff is always so kind and welcoming! They make you feel like family!
Dr. Martin was my OB/GYN for my first pregnancy! First, I love that each time I visited the office, I was welcomed by the same front desk associate, Shelly. She was always so friendly and loved to talk with you! I also like that I was seen by the same tech for every appointment. It made the whole experience of first time jitters much more enjoyable! Dr. Martin is straight forward and does not beat around the bush. Through my whole pregnancy I felt at ease knowing that she would always guide me in the right direction. Even if I was scared. She carries herself with confidence and a sense of calm. I always trusted what she had to say. I will be continuing to visit this office for my annuals as well as any future pregnancies.
This was my second pregnancy and birth with Dr. Martin, and I had a great experience. It’s so reassuring to always see the same doctor and to know for sure that she will be delivering your baby, rather than a stranger. I had a planned (medically necessary) C-section and she prepared me so well for it. Her office does not have long wait times, and the staff is great. Now that my pregnancy is over, Dr. Martin has been great in advising me on other medical issues and I look forward to continuing to see her.
I’ve been seen by Dr. Martin twice now. The receptionist at this office is phenomenal; 5 stars to her! Dr. Martin is prompt and to the point, but she made me feel pressured to have my IUD taken out and begin having children soon. Even when I expressed my wishes, she brought it up repeatedly. I also put down concerns on my intake forms that would not have been discussed if I had not brought them up myself (she was about to end the appointment). All in all, your visit will feel pretty rushed and impersonal. I cried in the parking garage when I was done.
Dr. Martin recently delivered our first baby. She did an amazing job! My wife and I are so thankful God led us to Dr. Martin. During the birth we had some potentially serious moments with the baby and Dr. Martin knew exactly what to do, and calmly delivered our baby safely. We are so pleased with her and we highly recommend her for anyone having a baby, especially someone who is in a high risk situation. My wife and the baby are doing wonderful! We look forward to working with her for years to come.

I transferred my OB care to Dr. Martin at 26 weeks gestation after being unsatisfied with poor quality of care at a larger group practice in town. I was considered high-risk due to pre-existing type 1 diabetes and Dr. Martin still agreed to take me on over halfway through my pregnancy. I’ll be honest, Our first couple of visits were rough. I left those visits very upset and frustrated. However, it boiled down to poor communication between us both. After delivery, I realized that I am so thankful for Dr. Martin. She doesn’t tip-toe around and gets things done! After hearing others delivery stories, I am so glad I went with Dr. Martin. She made sure I had a quick and safe delivery for me and baby despite my high-risk status and my baby’s cord being wrapped around her neck during delivery. I would absolutely go with Dr. Martin again if we have more children. Also, I had her place an IUD after delivery and did not feel a thing! I haven’t had other experiences with this, but from speaking with other women, this is rare.And I couldn’t finish a review without speaking highly of Shelley at the front desk. She is amazing and so, so kind!
Just recently had my second delivery with Dr. Martin. She is straight forward and amazing at what she does. She offered a membrane sweep to me and it was very effective. I was in active labor within 12 hours after. I had a naturally induced healthy vaginal delivery. Highly recommend Dr. Martin!!!
She took great care of my wife throughout her pregnancy. She was very supportive, but will shoot you straight when it is needed. We highly recommend Dr. Martin and her staff, and are so glad we went to her! Thanks again Dr. Martin!

I switched to Dr. Martin for my OB when I did not feel heard by my original doctor. She listened to my concerns and was not dismissive at all. We ended up getting pregnant and Dr. Martin was the best OB ever for pregnancy and delivery. She cares, shes knowledgeable, and she has a no nonsense approach that is in the best interest of you and your baby! I could not imagine going with anyone else. She is with you through every step from the time you find out until the day you go home with your new baby. It eased my mind to know there was not a group of doctors rotating around and hoping they remembered me.
Dr. Martin delivered my second baby just a few months ago. I was a transferred patient from a previous OBGYN who delivered my first. I thought the world of him so I was pretty nervous and upset about the switch. He gave me some new OBGYN options and discussed what he thought would be best for me and my baby. After some research we decided Dr. Martin would be the best option for us. Let me just say she is absolutely phenomenal at what she does and the more I seen her the more I loved her. She truly cares about her patients. She has an online portal where you can message HER 24/7 and she will get back to you which I thought was pretty comforting and honestly not common. Usually you have to call, leave a message, wait forever for a call back, but nope - not with Dr. Martin! She is very ‘to the point’ which is what I needed because I was so scared and everything made me nervous. I was considered a high risk patient and towards the end of my pregnancy we had an ultrasound and an NST twice a week. She was very informative and honest the whole time. During delivery she was very prompt and calm. The front desk and nurse were pretty awesome as well! Always so nice and friendly and eager to help! I had the option to switch back to my old OB but I decided to stick with her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Martin and team!!
I absolutely love Dr Martin and her staff. They are all sweet and care so much, they take their time and answer all questions you may have. They make you feel welcome and like family. I truly lucked up getting her as my doctor she is the best! I would recommend her to everyone ❤️
Dr. Martin is absolutely wonderful, and my only regret is that she wasnt my doctor when I was pregnant with and gave birth to my first little one.I first started seeing Dr. Martin early into my pregnancy with my second child. I was determined to find a doctor that would provide me consistent and thoughtful care for the entirety of my pregnancy and birth.My experience with my first child and the OB office I used was far from from great - it was impersonal and it was only after I had paid my full fee for care that I discovered that the doctors in the practice wouldnt actually be delivering my child - instead there was a group of rotating doctors and residents at the hospital that handled delivery. The resident that delivered my son was not great, and the birth process was long and painful. I experienced a lot of ripping and pain, and the recovery process was very long.With Dr. Martin, I felt welcome and cared for from my very first visit. She and her entire staff (front desk, nurses, etc.) are absolutely wonderful. Dr. Martin always took the time to listen to my questions and concerns, gave my thorough information and facts so that I could make informed decisions about my pregnancy, and she just simply went above and beyond to make sure my baby and I were healthy and cared for.Above all else, the thing I loved the most about seeing Dr. Martin is that with very little exception (e.g. she has a vacation or trip planned, which she schedules and communicates well in advance), she will be the doctor that delivers your baby during birth!Funny enough, the day I went into labor, which was exactly one week before my due date, Dr. Martin actually had a procedure scheduled herself that day. I was so panicked that she would not be there to deliver my little girl, but what could I do. But Dr. Martin being the rockstar that she is, finished her procedure and made it over to the hospital in time to help me deliver my daughter. The birth was wonderful - night and day when compared to my son. She was amazing. And then, I loved her even more when she made it a point to visit me the next 2 days I was in the hospital (I tested positive for the strep test, so I was there a bit longer).Now, I still see her for all of my gynecological checks and needs. And still she is wonderful, and my favorite doctor. I honestly cant say enough good things about her. She and her practice are a dying breed among chain-like medical offices. In my opinion, she is the best kept secret in the greater Knoxville area.
Dr. Martin is so great!!! Her staff are all so supportive and helpful as well. Dr. Martin has delivered two out of three of my babies. I felt supported and encouraged throughout both of my pregnancies. I came to her after just 2And a half weeks postpartum with my first child. I was suffering from PTSD and she was so attentive and kind. My other OBGYN didn’t even tell me how to take care of myself postpartum. Dr. Martin made sure I was informed throughout my pregnancies and through my postpartum periods. She is still one of the only doctors I know that will answer her own office phone and I just love that! Her love of what she does for a living shines through and makes every visit with her enjoyable.
Dr. Martin, did a wonderful job for me and my baby!! I have in the past been a patient of Dr. Vicks but since he no longer delivers I switched to Dr. Martin in my last trimester, she did a wonderful job and supports natural childbirth,She helped guide me through choices to make my childbirth more natural and not have to be induced, I am so thankful and glad I listened to her recommendations, we had the blessing of a positive natural childbirth which I labored mostly at home, then came to the hospital and had our baby shortly after coming in to the hospital. I am thankful to my Lord Jesus for a positive birth and the blessing of our sweet baby and I’m also thankful to Dr. Martin and would recommend her to friends!!! I also really like how dedicated she is to her patients!!
I cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Martin and their team! Dr. Martin is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to truly listen and address any concerns. What was especially reassuring was knowing that on my delivery day, Dr. Martin would be there for me instead of another doctor I’d be meeting for the first time. That continuity of care made me feel so much more confident and comfortable, especially since my labor progressed so quickly. Dr. Martin and her staff are the best. They are all so courteous, kind, timely, respectful, and non-judgmental. Dr. Martin is everything you’d want in a practitioner. She delivered my second child 8 years ago and I still look forward to seeing her every couple of years. She always checks in with me at my appointment to see how life is going and to make sure I’m doing ok! I can’t say enough wonderful things about her practice.

I’ve had two pregnancies with Dr. Martin as my provider, to me she isn’t really just my obgyn, she’s family. She’s been apart of the two most special moments of my life and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of an ob. All of the staff is extremely close and make it a point to make each patient feel like a friend. I can’t thank her enough for all she’s done and even now that I live over a hour away I still come to her and will continue to as long as I can.
Dr. Martin is punctual, attentive and thoroughly professional. The clinic is well organized and the staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Martin was with me when I delivered and she was amazing. Delivering a baby is an intense experience but she approached my delivery with confidence and care. My family is so grateful !
I stopped seeing Dr. Martin because she focused solely on my pregnancy concerns, not my overall health. While shes friendly and efficient, I wouldnt recommend her if you want an OBGYN passionate about womens health. During my appointment, she didnt take the time to understand my history or concerns before trying to get pregnant, which made me uncomfortable. Her offices responses to negative reviews are also inappropriate and unprofessional. If I had read these reviews before seeing her, I absolutely would not have gone to her for fear of having my personal birthing experience plastered online, or being laughed at for my concern (yes, go read the responses for yourself!). I advise researching and meeting her in person before deciding if she’s a good fit for you.
Dr. Martin is the best. I was nervous to get my new IUD. I had an appointment to get my old one taken out and then a new one in the same day. She talked to me throughout the whole procedure and made me feel safe. I would recommend her for all your birth control needs. While it is painful, she does support you the best she can!
We just had our second baby under the supervision of Dr. Martin. Over the course of our pregnancy, Dr. Martin and her staff was incredibaly helpful and supportive. The staff is excellent and provided every details of treatment and payments clearly time ahead that helped us to prepare and plan accordingly. The patient portal is very useful and we got responses to our questions and concerns from Dr. Martin within 24 hours. Dr. Martin is very friendly, practical, emotionally supportive when needed, and very professional. Thank you so much Dr. Martin! I definitely recommend her clinic.
Dr. Martin is the best OBGYN around! She listened to everything I wanted to know while I was pregnant. The office and lab staff are fantastic. Pre and post delivery of my daughter she always took extra time to make sure she did a thorough job at each appointment. I would highly recommend her to everyone I know. I don’t feel like just a number. Dr. Martin made me feel like a human being and listened to me every step of the way.
Dr. Martin was wonderful! We loved that she was with us through the whole journey of the pregnancy. We loved that she done the ultrasounds, she made sure to explain and talk us through what was going on! She makes you feel seen and takes time to listen to your concerns! She made my husband feel included in the conversations about what was going on with the pregnancy and our baby! She delivered our two healthy baby girls by emergency c section & a planned c-section! Our first pregnancy we met her the day of delivery & second we started seeing her as my doctor for the pregnancy. She did a wonderful job on monitoring my High risk pregnancy & did a phenomenal job on my c-section. I had no pain or anything with my second c-section. I still can’t believe how easy that recovery was. I also got post partum preeclampsia a few days after birth and was readmitted in the hospital under her care. She is the best!
Dr. Martin was phenomenal in our journey. I began my last pregnancy with another doctor, whom I also love, but couldnt finish with his practice, so I had to transfer. After lots of thoughts and prayer, I chose Dr. Martin (greatest decision). From the first visit, I knew she was the right choice.She kept me informed and explained things I didnt even think about. I loved that she preformed ultrasounds on her own and was there for questions. Dr. Martin was thorough in her explanations and so willing to support any way she could. How many doctors answer after hour phone calls when issues arise? Dr. Martin does! I cannot recommend her enough! Im blessed our paths crossed!I will add, she also has a wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Its nice to go somewhere and be recognized before even giving your name.
I chose Dr. Martin based on all her excellent reviews. The reviews were right. She is so friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. She was very thorough and explained all my treatment options in a way that I could easily understand. She wasn’t in a hurry and answered all my questions. I have had nothing but a good experience from day one! I LOVED seeing only one Dr. throughout my whole pregnancy and it brought so much excitement and peace knowing Dr. Martin would be the one to be there on delivery day( and not whoever was on call at hospital ). Dr. Martin is very knowledgeable and always discussed all options with me during pregnancy and labor. Even though she is an independent Dr. and not with the hospital.. all orders were ready, she showed up super fast when needed, quickly responded to calls and messages from my nurses regarding my care, came by to check on me every day while in the hospital and her office has called to check on me once home and settled! I am so glad I chose Dr. Martin for the care of me and my baby and I will be back to her for future pregnancies!

I’ve been with Dr. Martin for over 6 years now. She’s walked me through two births, a miscarriage and I have only good things to say about my experiences. Words can’t describe how we feel about Dr.Martin. We have been with her through 3 babies. Our first experience, she saved our minutes old baby, our second experience was extremely fast. Dr Martin was there ready to go at midnight only minutes after we called on our way in, and our third experience was just a great as the first two. The relationship she has with her patients is great. It’s not often, but if/when she is accepting new patients, you would be mistaking yourself not to call and get into her practice.

I love the fact that she was the only doctor throughout my pregnancy and was there for my delivery. She took all of the necessary steps to make sure my pregnancy went smoothly. Let me first say this..if I could give her 10 stars I would! Dr. Martin was absolutely wonderful - as was the rest of the staff in her office. My husband and I were always greeted so warmly + the receptionist(s) knew us by name without hesitation. As a first time mum, I had no idea what to expect - all I knew was that the unknown was sometimes scary. But, Dr. Martin made us feel we had all the knowledge we needed at every step. She is very straight forward - something, in my opinion, is of utmost importance for her profession. She takes the time to get to know you + we never felt rushed during our appointment(s).We will be going to her for all future pregnancies/deliveries, for sure! If you’re not sure who to go to, go to Dr. Martin! You’ll be so glad you did!
I found Dr. Martin’s practice through high ratings on google reviews. After being disappointed with my local OBGYN practice (in Morristown), I was open and willing to drive further for a quality provider. Dr. Martin definitely lives up to her high ratings! Dr. Martin is very knowledgeable, educational, informative, personable, and empathetic. I love that she’s in practice by herself; therefore, you get to see the same provider each visit.Dr. Martin’s office staff are all kind, friendly, and helpful. I struggled to find childcare for my toddler for each of my appointments but Dr. Martin’s practice was very understanding and I was able to bring her to each visit (with the exception of my anatomy scan)… I’m super appreciative for their patience and understanding!Dr. Martin was respectful of my birthing plan while also voicing her concerns and potential risks. Ultimately, she encouraged me to listen to my body and intuition. When I actually went into labor, Dr. Martin was very punctual, and explained each intervention and procedure. I felt safe in her care. I feel blessed to have found Dr. Martin and would 100% recommend her to any of my friends/family!
Dr. Martin has delivered both of my babies, and she’s been excellent both times. Dr. Martin is incredibly knowledgeable, intelligent, and great at her job. She loves getting to know her patients and it’s great to know that the person who I am seeing my whole pregnancy for care will be the same person walking in the labor and delivery room when I deliver. She is calm during the delivery and precise, which is also very comforting to me.It’s always easy to call the office & get through as well! Highly recommend Dr. Martin to any mama or mama to be!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Martin throughout my second pregnancy. I had a negative experience with a different doctor at another practice during my first pregnancy. That’s what led me to Dr. Martin and I’m so thankful it worked out that way. I just delivered my daughter a couple of days ago and my experience with Dr. Martin was incredible. She was very responsive, knowledgeable, and understanding every time I had an appointment with her. She listened to my wants for a less invasive birth experience and she helped me make it happen. My recovery has been so much better this time around and I know that she deserves some credit for that. She had followed up everyday since my daughter has been born to check in on both of us and that has meant so much. It’s great to find a doctor that truly cares and listens to a patients needs/wants. 10/10 would recommend Dr.Martin and her staff!

Dr Martin is incredible! We loved having such wonderful continuity of care with an OB we actually got to see for every visit. She also is on call so she was available right when we needed her, after hours, for our L&D. Her proficiency and attention to detail with every aspect of care through prenatal, L&D, and post partum helped provide such a smooth, low stress, and enjoyable experience! I became a patient once I found out I was expecting my son and I was very selective of who would be our provider and upon her fabulous reviews I chose Dr. Martin, best choice ever!During pregnancy I became so close with the entire staff! Every question was answered with kindness, every concern eased, I had such a wonderful pregnancy following all of Dr. Martin’s advice and had a very easy delivery with my son born on 5/23/23!My 6 week postpartum check up went awesome and she really checks in with new mamas and I felt so secure and safe. Dr.Martin was amazing, I was extremely high risk and was nervous after having several complications and miscarriages in the past. She always made me feel important to express my concerns to her and she never dismissed me when I was worried about something. She monitored me twice a week to keep a good check on baby and when baby had some distress at a regular doctors appointment she sent me straight to over to the hospital for extra watch and she also made sure that when my delivery needed to be an emergency and done right away she was there and did an excellent job! She takes high risk and pregnancy very seriously and is knowledgeable about what steps to take to ensure a healthy pregnancy. I will definitely recommend her to everyone for their needs! Dr. Martin is an incredibly passionate and caring doctor who has gotten my wife and I through two pregnancies. We could not recommend her enough.
I was impressed and grateful by how Dr. Martin handled the delivery of my first baby.Throughout my pregnancy she always communicated her medical advice and suggestions with clarity. She sent me home with information on paper handouts as well as in my patient portal.She respected my decisions and birth preferences even when they didn’t always seem completely in line with her recommendations.When I came to the hospital in early labor, not active labor, she was hesitant to admit me and allowed me to labor at home instead of admitting me, because she knew my birth preferences were to deliver naturally without interventions. I’m so grateful I labored at home until I was in active labor.I ended up loving my delivery experience with Dr. Martin!This was my first baby, and my only regret is that I wish I had been more intentional and asked more questions during my pregnancy.
Dr. Martin truly is the best. She delivered our baby girl yesterday and everything went so smooth. She truly gave me the best care throughout my pregnancy. I am so thankful to have her as my OB.
Dr. Martin is the reason our daughter was delivered safely with a last ditch forceps maneuver to pull our baby out safely. Then stitched my wife up safely and gave great recovery advice, she’s calm under pressure and delivers results. She is amazing! She knows her stuff. Very informative and skilled OBGYN. She doesn’t sugar coat anything and is direct with her words, yet she is kind. Dr. Martin is who you want delivering your baby, no doubt!
Dr. Martin is absolutely amazing. I found out I was pregnant and searched diligently for a OBGYN to deliver my first child. I am so glad I chose her! She made me feel so comfortable and she was always upfront and honest. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming every time I went to visit. The best part is that Dr. Martin is always there for you. I didn’t have to worry about not knowing what doctor would be there, because she was there from the first appointment to the delivery. I had an appointment at 11am and had to leave the appointment to head to labor and delivery. She stayed available and checked in on me the entire time until I delivered at 6am the following day and she was still there! She works so hard and you can tell she is passionate about taking care of you and your pregnancy. Thank you so much for being reliable, excellent communication, and genuinely caring about your patients. From our initial meeting with Dr Martin, until she delivered our beautiful baby girl, we felt at ease w the process and confident in her abilities.Dr Martin is a no nonsense doctor whose paramount goal is to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby. In part, she accomplishes this by establishing a clear line of communication between herself and her patients, providing enough resources for the patient to make informative decisions and listening to the concerns of her patients. All this, coupled with her hands on approach, results in a birthing experience unmatched in the modern, multiple provider, birthing centers.We wholeheartedly believe the overwhelmingly positive outcome we shared, was a direct result of Dr. Martin’s skill and experience combined with her diligent management of our pregnancy. Where some doctors may have missed or dismissed certain health concerns regarding the pregnancy, Dr Martin caught and anticipated these issues and correctly directed us as to what decisions would provide the greatest probability for success.Although nothing went according to our “ideal” pregnancy plan, the birthing experience orchestrated by Dr Martin was absolutely perfect and it is undoubtedly to Dr Martins credit, we were able to come home with a happy and healthy mother and baby.I can only hope she will inspire future Doctors to approach their patients and their practice with the same level of dignity and decency she has continually shown.Although we will never be able to fully convey the gratitude we have for Dr. Martin, every time we look at our precious baby girl, we are reminded how blessed we are to have Dr. Martin as a part of our life, as a part of our family.From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Doctor Martin.
Dr. Martin was absolutely amazing every step of the way from my first ultrasound to my son’s circumcision. I highly recommend her for anyone’s pregnancy. You and your baby will be well taken care of. I couldn’t be happier with the way my pregnancy and delivery went.
This review is long overdue. I have been seeing Dr. Martin for 2.5 years and she and her staff have been nothing but great to me! About a year ago now I found out I was pregnant with twins and the were a wonderfully positive support system in what was a generally chaotic surprise. Dr. Martin performed an emergency ovary removal for me due to an ovary torsion and large cyst when I was about 10 weeks pregnant. That was definitely when I realized she and her staff truly care and show up when when their patients need them. She and her office were usually very good about responding to my questions on the portal in a timely manner, which is nice when youre anxious all the time about a first pregnancy. Sometimes I did feel like the appointments were a little rushed, but they never ended without all of my concerns being addressed, so it was ok. She is very straight forward with her knowledge and opinions but always made sure i knew it was my decision in the end. She and her team walked me through all of my twin pregnancy and finally she delivered both of my twins vaginally. They are the best!100% recommend Dr. Martin and staff.
Dr Martin was probably the best decision we made when my wife and I decided to start a family. She really walked with us and explained every detail of every step in the process. She walked with us through a miscarriage and then our next pregnancy. Every visit we were seen promptly and treated like family by her and her staff. There were no stupid questions, she was happy to help us understand every facet of the journey. When the time came to go to labor and delivery we had multiple nurses say some variation of “oh, you’re Dr Martin’s patient, you’re good”. She brought our beautiful boy into the world and then did his circumcision two days later. At our first check up our pediatrician said it was one of the best healing procedures they had ever seen.Thank you Dr Martin and your staff for taking care of my wife and our boy.
Dr Martin is amazing!! I would 100% go back to her for any future children. She is with you your whole entire pregnancy all the way through the delivery and after. She is so caring and compassionate about her job and her patients. She is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. Always taking the time to answer every single question I had. I was anxious throughout my pregnancy and it was nice to have someone listen to my concerns and reassure me. I also appreciate that she is honest, she will tell you everything that you need to know and what to look out for. Delivery went smooth because of her, I was induced and I had my baby within about 12 hours. I had an amazing labor and delivery experience because of her! I’ve also heard great experiences from several other people I know as well, for both types of deliveries! And the staff is so kind! Especially the front desk! :)
Dr. Martin is certainly a 5-star OBGYN in town. My wife and I went throughout it all with her. She had delivered our 1st baby with huge success. He is about to turn 1 and thriving! My wife was recently pregnant again, but unfortunately baby didnt have a heartbeat on our 1st check up. Dr. Martin was able to get her a D&C surgery scheduled quickly. My wife said her skills were unmatched!! She went through minimal bleeding and pain during her recovery. On her follow-up visit, Dr. Martin took the extra time to explain some lifestyle change she needs to made to continue to stay healthy. Our experience with Dr. Martin has been a great one. We will continue to recommend our friends to her. Dr. Martin, please dont stop what you are doing. You are one amazing doctor!
We love Dr. Martin!! I began going to her years ago for yearly gynecology checkups and when I found out I was pregnant this year, I knew I wanted to keep her as my OB. She is very knowledgeable and shares information in an easy to understand way. She is kind and she tells the truth even if it may be hard to hear.I gave birth to my first baby 2 days ago and Dr. Martin made the process so wonderful. You can tell she truly cares about her work and she cares about you as the patient as well as the health of the baby. I highly recommend her! Once I knew we were pregnant, I wanted to find the right OB/GYN. I did a lot of research, and decided to go to Dr. Martin. We had a healthy pregnancy and delivery. The entire staff were friendly and kind. Dr. Martin is experienced and knowledgeable. I loved the fact that she does independent practice. I saw her for every appointment. When it was time to deliver, she stayed over night at the hospital and delivered our son at 217 in the morning. I would highly suggest and recommend Dr. Martin. We are grateful to her for delivering our healthy boy. Will return for future pregnancies. Thank you Dr. Martin.

This was my first pregnancy and Dr. Martin was amazing and supportive throughout the journey! She is super hands on and I love that unlike other offices, she was the only doctor I saw - I wasnt passed around amongst the doctors in the office. She was there to hear out all of my concerns, she fit in me when I didnt have an appointment because of some anxieties I had, she was there to give a hug and really made it feel like I not only had a great doctor but a friend to see me through. She is to the point and honest which I very much appreciated. I also loved the ladies in the office and enjoyed getting to know everyone throughout all my visits! Dr. Martin listened to me regarding my birth plan and we stuck to it - once I was checked in to the hospital she was there to help me along and was honest and thorough even when things got stressful. Ended up having a C-section and she and her team were wonderful - she checked up on me each day I was in the hospital and while that may be protocol, she was kind, listened, and I never felt like she was doing it because she had to or that she was rushing. I really appreciated all her hard work and dedication to our pregnancy and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an OB!
Dr. Martin was great throughout my whole pregnancy and after. I had a scare about a week after giving birth and she went out of her way to help me physically and in calming my nerves. You can tell she cares a lot about her patients and loves her job!

Was completely dismissed when I told her I was having hormone issues at 27 (night sweats, weight gain, hair loss, etc). She told me to eat less because my BMI was 26 (I was 20% body fat at the time). I now have learned 6 months later that my body is premenopausal and have been unable to get pregnant because of it, and that eating less just made it worse and put my body into distress.Women need doctors to listen about our hormones and when they choose not to, it’s really disappointing

Dr. Martin is a phenomenal doctor. From day one, you truly feel like a family member at her office. You have the same staff members every appointment cheering you on through each step of the pregnancy process. They are all so kind and thoughtful. Dr. Martin was there every step of my delivery and continued to check on me throughout my stay in the hospital. Having that familiar face was so comforting when my baby decided to make an early arrival. She always educated me throughout the process of any challenges we may face but in the same breath would give us reassurance that we were in great hands and everything would be okay. I am so grateful that Dr. Martin was with us throughout the pregnancy journey. I highly recommend her as she provides exceptional care.

Dr. Martin made our first pregnancy/delivery a great experience. We originally had seen another OBGYN for the first half of our pregnancy but could not continue to see him due to him not delivering and we were recommended to continue our care through Dr. Martin. Since our first visit with her, she has been so helpful with any questions or concerns we had during our pregnancy. She treats her patients as if they are her friends and family. She is very honest with how she cares for you, making sure you know every detail to have a good pregnancy, even when it’s not always what you want to hear. Our delivery did not go as expected due to complications, but Dr. Martin was able to keep a calm demeanor and use her knowledge to stabilize me after birth. I truly feel that she saved my life and will definitely use her again if I decide to have another baby.

I am normally very nervous of doctors but, I found her very calming. I will definetly use her again whenever we decide to have our next little one. During my first two trimesters, I was seen at a large practice of about 10 doctors and it was terrible. I saw a different person every time I went. I consistently received conflicting information and had several physicians there adjust my medication as if they never even read my chart before seeing me. This was very distressing to me as a diabetic having a high-risk pregnancy. They couldnt even tell me who would deliver my baby or who I would see at any given appointment.I finally had enough and changed to Dr. Martin in my third trimester and am so glad I did. I saw her at every single appointment; she did all of my ultrasounds, got to know me well, and provided great care. She also delivered my baby and came by my room to speak with me personally on a Sunday-- something Im sure the doctors at my previous OB office would never have taken time to do since I was just a number there. I highly recommend Dr. Martin for the personal and individualized care she offers and wish Id started seeing her sooner.
Dr. Martin is amazing!! She has delivered both my girls and has been fabulous throughout the entire pregnancies. She is trustworthy, caring, and reliable. I am so grateful for such an experienced and knowledgeable Doctor to bring my babies into this world.
I was very nervous to get an IUD since I had no idea what to expect and the main thing that I heard were horror stories. Dr. Martin was very thorough as she took culture samples, a urine sample, and did an ultrasound before and after IUD insertion. Dr. Martin also made me feel extremely comfortable by letting me know what was happening during the process and having conversations with me the whole time. This experience was a lot more painless, easy, and quick than I thought it was going to be and I credit my positive IUD insertion experience to Dr. Martin!
Dr. Martin took care of me throughout my entire pregnancy start to finish. she always answered any questions or concerns i had, and if i ever decide to have another baby i will 100 percent be going back to Dr. Martin and i would also recommend her to others as well!

Her knowledge and experience was evident from our first appointment.I think a huge tell is how the labor and delivery nurses refer to the OB/GYN - every nurse was extremely complimentary of Dr Martins skills and care.Dr Martin safely delivered our first baby. She also stopped-in to postpartum the next day to check on me and baby. I felt very safe in her hands.The staff in the office are great, and feel like friends by the end of the journey. Highly recommend.
UPDATE:Another great experience with Dr. Martin, as she recently delivered my second sweet baby!Recently delivered my baby and couldnt have been happier/relieved that I picked Dr. Martin. I specifically sought her out due to her very low C-section rate. She also makes it to all her deliveries, which is super rare based on my friends experiences with other obgyns. It does mean that wait times at the office visits can be unusually long if she has a spontaneous delivery, but that was worth it to me to have her there on D-Day. I also appreciated her conservative approach to care. I didnt have to worry about a doctor pushing unnecessary pills on me just because I had nausea. Couldnt recommend her enough to friends and family.
Dr. Martin is personable, thorough, knowledgeable beyond words, and so compassionate. She truly listens, cares, and goes above and beyond for her patients. Dr. Martin has this special spunk about her and a smile that lights up the room. It’s so comforting to have a doctor who loves her career and has a passion for all things babies. This was our second scheduled c section with her and we would choose her over and over again. I experienced high blood pressure after delivery and Dr. Martin made sure that my health was a priority. We are so grateful Dr. Martin was the one who helped bring two of our precious girls into this world.Also, 5 stars to the office staff - they’re always so friendly!!
I have been seeing Dr. MARTIN over 15 years and couldnt imagine trusting anyone else with my care. I had very difficult pregnancies and my progesterone levels had to be monitored closely. After losing our first baby, I was scared to death when I got pregnant with my second baby. The whole time she was an encourager and always reassured me. It was also encouraging having a physician do my US at my appointments. When my water broke with my son I was scared to death, but again she was there to be my encourager! I truly love Dr. Martin and her compassion she has.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Martin and Fort Sanders. She is so knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate, and I have been referring all of my friends to her. She was so calm and collected as she realized the the umbilical cord was wrapped around my baby’s head twice, and once she was in for my C-section, she discovered that my previous OB didn’t quite put things back as she should have. So, she took the time to fix several things (bladder flap, recti muscle, and tissue) as a preventative for the future, and I’m eternally grateful for that!! If I could give her 15 stars I would!! I will NOT be going anywhere else!
Dr. Martin is literally the best. I moved to Knoxville from Michigan 18 years ago and have been seeing her ever since. She delivered my daughter who is now 17 years old. And my daughter is now a patient of Dr.Martin as well. I highly recommend Dr.Martin for all of your OB/GYN needs. You will be comfortable, well cared for, and feel valued by her. Also, you’ll see Dr. Martin every time you go. There are not multiple practitioners when you are her patient. I’m glad I found her!
We had an excellent experience with Dr. Martin as she helped us with the pregnancy of our third child. She is very knowledgeable and up to date on the best practices to ensure both Mom and Baby have a happy, healthy outcome. I wanted to have a natural birth without medication, and she was supportive. She is direct - sometimes to the point of being blunt, which could be off putting especially with the many hormonal changes one goes through in pregnancy. I appreciate how informative she is, providing resources through her portal and always leaving room for questions. Also, Shawley at the front desk is amazing and enhances the experience at Dr. Martin’s office with her friendly presence.

From the first day I entered her office, to my postpartum appointment, I’ve had nothing but a good experience. Dr. Martin’s staff is so wonderful and helpful. This was my first pregnancy and I also have anxiety, but I always felt comfortable and at ease at each appointment. Dr. Martin is very knowledgeable and I had complete confidence that she would help me make the right decisions if any issues ever came up. I also really love that she was my doctor from start to finish, compared to other practices where you see a different doctor each time. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and if I end up having more children, I’m excited to know she is my doctor.
I really enjoyed my first pregnancy being seen by Dr. Martin and had a great experience. Throughout the pregnancy, she always made me feel heard and listened to / acted on every precaution I brought up. I can’t describe how reassuring it was on delivery day to know she’d be there with me. And when I had to deliver early because of preeclampsia, she was very supportive and knowledgeable about my condition. She took very great care of me and our baby. She is driven, and we could tell from the very beginning that she loves her job. 100% would recommend!!
I’ve only had my first visit for my pregnancy, but so far they are pretty great! I esp liked the ladies who take your blood, they are kind and knowledgeable and even comforted me after I passed out while giving blood lol! The doctor herself is a bit tough, definitely speaks her mind and if she doesn’t like something she will say it, so some people may find her off putting but I found her and the whole place refreshing. Yes I recommend them.

**Adding to review, Dr. Martin helped me accomplish a VBAC. Her methods were spot on for my body/baby and she was with me every step of the way. She truly is a gem in this field and I can’t say that enough ***Before I lead into my review, if you are looking for an office that truly cares about you, this is your place to go! I switched to Dr. Martin at almost 25 weeks pregnant due to the previous office I was seeing refusing me care because I have a 2 year old that has to come with me everywhere I go due to no support. I had been bringing her with me but due to a policy change that they didn’t notify their patients about, the morning of my appointment after checking in, they refused to do my repeat anatomy scan until I could come without my daughter knowing we have zero support. I left that clinic feeling so defeated and terrified as I am over half way in my pregnancy and felt so discouraged looking for care else where. My husband works out of town which makes it challenging for us but thankfully with a lot of prayer, Dr. Martins office welcomed me and my daughter with open arms. The staff truly has the best customer service I have ever received. Although I probably took a lot of time with them on the phone in tears explaining my previous experience, the receptionist never once rushed me off the phone and was so comforting. (Kaley, I’m probably spelling your name wrong, but thank you for being so nice to me!!!) She ended up calling me back within an hour to work me in the next day! When I walked into the office, I was welcomed by the rest of the staff with open arms as well and I couldn’t help but feel so thankful God led me here. The nurses helped me with my daughter by offering toys and engaging with her which meant so much to me. Dr. Martin seemed very supportive of my birth plan and gave the feeling of she takes her job and patients very serious with genuine care which I admire in her profession. I may never be able to thank them enough for taking me in after feeling so defeated with my previous experience but I will continue to thank God daily that I was led to an office that truly cares about me, my daughter and unborn baby boy and not being seen as just a number.
Dr. Martin has delivered two of our baby girls successfully, and she has been incredible! We have loved working with her. She is VERY good as what she does, and has a genuine, no-nonsense bedside manner with a fun personality blended in. I LOVED my experience with Dr. Martin, her office, and Fort Sanders for my delivery. Having moved from out of state where I absolutely loved my prior women’s health group, I was worried about finding a new OBGYN I wouldn’t dread visiting every year. I found Dr. Martin and her staff were warm, helpful and welcoming, and made my appointments a breeze. Dr. Martin is kind and has a peaceful presence that makes her consultations relaxing. She is direct in answering questions, but incredibly respectful and doesn’t pry unnecessarily, which is appreciated when you’re a fairly private person like me. She has a delicate and knowledgeable approach. It is evident she loves her work and adores her patients, and that her staff respects and enjoys working for her. I would recommend Dr. Martin to anyone who is new to Knoxville or looking for a practice providing more personal attention and care.
Dr. Martin delivered our daughter, and she was amazing through out the whole process. She was very attentive and compassionate answered all of our questions accordingly. She made the pregnancy less stressful and will be going back if we have another !! 10/10 would recommend using her as your OBGYN

I love that Dr. Martin is the only doctor I saw! She did my ultrasounds at every appointment and delivered my baby. She is very direct, honest and gives all the necessary information with clarity. She keeps her cool which helped to keep me calm throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She has a very laid back relaxed feel and easy to feel comfortable with her. She’s truly wonderful.
Dr. Martin is the best, hands down. She makes you feel as though you are part of her family as she cares for you and your baby during pregnancy and post pregnancy. Dr. Martin is very respectful as well as honest and trustworthy. Everyone’s recovery experience is different but with having a previous c-section with another physician and numerous complications post delivery I truly feel like her experience and attention to detail made this recovery so much better and overall quicker. If I could give Dr. Martin 10 stars my family and I would!
Dr. Martin is great! I could tell she really cared about me. I wasn’t just another paying patient to get. She listened to my questions and answered them. I had a hard time after my first child was born and rather than brushing me off, she talked with me about what I was feeling and how I was processing my new life as a mom. Now I’m pregnant with my second child and Dr. Martin has been very attentive. She does her own ultrasounds and explains what you’re looking at on the screen. She’s also knowledgeable about the cost of procedures. She’s able to tell you if insurance will cover a particular test and how much the test might be if it’s not covered. Dr. Martin is great and I highly recommend her.
My husband and I will never be able to express our appreciation for Dr. Martin into words. From the beginning of our pregnancy she was open, honest, and informative. She took the steps needed to ensure our baby girl was healthy and offered additional options for testing. Staff was always welcoming and I was seen in office any time I felt uneasy about something regarding my pregnancy. Labor and delivery was just as beautiful with Dr. Martin! We were induced and she talked us through every step of the way for our comfort and baby girl’s safety. As a woman I felt heard and validated, this was our first child but we will be utilizing Dr. Martin for our future pregnancies God willing!

I have Dr. Martin to thank for the safe birth of my healthy, full term, baby girl. She was quick and thorough with all the exams and answered all of my questions and she never made me feel bad for asking (which can be rare in the medical field). Dr. Martin was exactly what I needed for the birth of my first child, someone who put my comfort and the health of my child first. I felt very safe and heard with Dr. Martin and will be going back, not only for all of my future pregnancies, but also any gynecological needs.
I moved to Knoxville about a year ago. I was looking for someone who was going to be there for me throughout the pregnancy. Dr Martin was the perfect doctor for me. I trusted Dr. Martin the entire way and I knew I was in good hands. She loves to deliver babies and make sure she actively manages the pregnancy. My dad used to be the administrator for over 8 hospitals in the Tennessee area as well as COO in MS as well. When I told him what we were doing for my pregnancy, he said, “It sounds like you have a great Doctor who knows what she is doing.” He was right! If anyone in the Knoxville area is having a baby. I highly recommend Dr. Martin and the nurses and staff are all so nice and always good to see. They always responded in a timely manner and Dr. Martin made sure she was here when my baby was born even though she worked all day and he came before his due date. I cannot thank this team enough. What a wonderful experience! You won’t regret it!
Dr Martin safely delivered my baby boy September 8th and I could not have had a better experience with her by my side. We had unforeseen circumstances occur during birth, but she handled everything calmly and professionally. I knew I was in great hands from the moment I stepped through her door. I love how she says it how it is and doesn’t sugar coat things, which makes me feel better knowing that I know all the details and possible risks. She knew I really wanted a vaginal birth and made sure to encourage me, since I was very close to getting a c section due to the circumstance. My mom is a doctor and was present in the room, and was very impressed with how well she performs her job. She is confident and knows her stuff! If you have any hesitations or concerns, don’t! She is the best of the best! Thank you so much dr Martin! I can’t wait to see her for my future pregnancies.
Dr. Martin is AMAZING!! She was so professional and personal during our entire experience. During every appointment she would always ask how we were doing and would answer every question we had. During delivery she was perfect and very informative of what was going on. All the way until we checked out of the hospital after having our baby boy she was checking on us and giving such great information. Would recommend every single person having a baby to Dr. Martin!!

The worst gynecologist I’ve been to. I thought I’d try someone new, closer to my home. I ended up having to wait forever to be seen and the only time she tried to talk to me and be personable, her fingers were inside me. 0/10 don’t recommend. At least I got the birth control I needed, I guess. Very bare minimum service and bedside manner.Update: I Indeed was a patient for a single appointment, given my bad review. I know this was the correct doctor because they sent me an email after service to review them. Also, her photo is on her website. Its sort of hard to forget that face after such an uncomfortable close encounter. I noticed several of her negative reviews are claimed to be fake accounts by her/the owner of this page. OR like me, claims of never being a patient here.
Would recommend Dr. Martin to everyone! My husband and I just had our first baby at Fort Sanders and Dr. Martin made our experience 100000% better! She is clear and to the point, knows her stuff, and will make a personal connection with all of her patients. One of the biggest things that we loved was that her practice you see her throughout your whole pregnancy and more 99% sure will still be the doctor to deliver your baby.So you’re looking for a OB, definitely recommend Dr Martin!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Martin! She’s extremely knowledgeable and professional. As a first time mom, I was very nervous and had a ton of questions. Dr. Martin always took her time with me in the office and was quick to respond to any messages if I had questions between appointments. Knowing that she would see me at every appointment and be the one to deliver my baby gave me peace of mind. She took amazing care of me and my baby boy during/after labor and delivery. If I were a doctor that asked for reviews on Google, I think I would attempt better care with my patients.I could write a book of reasons not to entrust Dr. Martin with the care of your unborn child. She is unprofessional, rude, and lacks even a modicum of bedside manner.Dr. Martin maintained that my blood pressure was high and sent me to labor and delivery triage for four hours. She never cared to see the readings I consistently got at home. Her only concern was jumping into unnecessary medical procedures.She does her own ultrasounds without being certified. When my husband asked if she was certified to perform ultrasounds, her response was “I know enough”. This “knowledge” made her feel comfortable enough to tell me that my baby had a double cord wrapped around her neck. My child was born with a cord that was not wrapped around her neck at all.Dr. Martin was a switch I made at 26 weeks since my original OB no longer delivers babies. After the train wreck in this lack of medical care, I moved to another group. Within my new group, my blood pressure was never high, my concerns were listened to, and I was treated with respect.If there’s any advice I’d give, I’d say avoid Dr. Martin at all costs. If I could give less than one star, I would.
My husband and I call Dr. Martin a wizard haha and we recommend her to all of our pregnant friends and family! I had my little girl about 6 weeks ago (I had to be induced a few weeks early due to blood pressure issues) and Dr. Martin made the whole experience a breeze! I was nervous with it being my first baby, but the whole experience went 100 times better than I could’ve ever hoped for! She takes care of her patients and does what’s best for them! She answers every question thoroughly and honestly! If you’re considering using her, I definitely recommend her!!
My wife and I were extremely pleased with Dr. Martin. She took the time to hear and answer all of our questions. Having a conversation with her is very easy, and everything was clearly explained from medical topics to billing/insurance. Highly recommend Dr. Martin! She made me feel comfortable and heard at every appointment during my pregnancy. She was straightforward with everything I needed to know but also gave me the opportunity to express my concerns or ask any questions- which is huge for a first-time mom! My baby boy was breech and delivered via c-section. It was my first major surgery, but it went smoothly, and I’m thankful I was guaranteed to have Dr. Martin there. It’s obvious that she loves what she does and wants to show that through her work!
Dr. Martin is hands down the best labor and delivery doctor. my first baby was literally a breeze, that was my personal experience. Shes amazing at making you feel comfortable and like you really can do it, even if you feel like you cant. Coming from a labor and delivery nurse who chose doctor Martin, she is truly the best. She truly cares about getting to know her patients and what best meets their needs. She is the only doctor in her practice which made for an amazing one on one experience. She just delivered my baby girl and I truly could not have had a better experience. All around amazing doctor and labor and delivery experience. It’s also a plus that her office staff are wonderful and always listened to my questions and concerns.
I transferred to Dr. Martin late in my pregnancy and she was always so professional. We picked up right where my previous Dr. Left off and she made me feel very comfortable. I am very confident in Dr. Martin’s ability and enjoyed our conversations. My delivery went well and I loved knowing that she would definitely be the one delivering me. I loved how the nurses spoke so highly of her and she has a great reputation with circumcisions.
After going through trust issues with a lot of doctors, Dr. Martin has went above and beyond to make sure I feel safe and trust her. She has made this pregnancy way less stressful by being honest with me and making me understand that she has my back. We are about to move to Nashville and I honestly can say I will try to have my next baby with her and drive the 2 1/2 hours because she truly is the best doctor I have ever had. Very very pleased. My perfect, healthy little girl arrived via c section on November 18, 2023 after a hard, complicated pregnancy (placenta previa until 27 weeks and placental abruption at 35+5) but I don’t think i could’ve managed without Dr Martin and her wonderful staff. Had my first baby boy on July 1, 2023, loved my entire prenatal and labor/delivery experience with Dr Martin!One of the main reasons I chose her is that shes basically the only OB/GYN in town that sees you at your pregnancy visits and also delivers your baby, which was the main thing I was looking for, not a big group that has multiple doctors and you dont even know who will deliver youI had a relatively easy pregnancy and no complications, but even the most minor of questions/concerns I had, no matter how silly, she answered professionally and never made me feel silly for asking. She really does have your best interest at heart, even sometimes if its things you dont want to hear, but she just wants you to have all the information to make an informed decision yourself, and even if you decide to go your own route shes not pushy or making you feel bad you didnt want to do things her way which is very much appreciated!I had a no pain med/no epidural all natural birth at Fort Sanders, which is the hospital she delivers at and is connected to childrens if something were to happen that is a nice peace of mind, was in labor for 12 hours, and she even slept in the hospital while I was laboring which was amazing!Would HIGHLY recommend her, and her wonderful staff at the office, to anyone looking for someone to deliver their babes
Dr.Martin is experienced, talented, and gifted with what she does. This office is truly unique and different from other OBGYN in town. Dr. Martin is there every steps of the way. She saw me at every appointments leading up to delivery. She even spent the night at the hospital after I was induced and up until my delivery. You don’t get pass around with different doctors like the other offices in town. If I’m plan on having a 2nd, I will not hesitate to go back to her again.
Dr Martin is an excellent doctor who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about delivering babies. Being high risk, I felt very confident under her care and very much appreciated her direct approach and calm bedside manner. Thanks to her I was able to safely deliver my precious baby boy. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Martin, especially if you want an OBGYN who will personally answer your phone calls and deliver your baby (as opposed to a whoever is on call if you go to a group of doctors). Dr Martin was thorough, and we enjoyed our birthing experience at Fort Sanders with her. She is very straight forward—which I appreciate. She’s not going to sugar coat a single thing. I expected a larger baby with my second, but at the rate my son was growing Dr Martin expressed her concerns after growth ultrasounds. She performed a membrane sweep at 38 weeks and 3 days and we went into labor within 48 hours. Her ultrasounds are very precise, baby was measuring 8.11 on Monday and at birth the Wednesday after was 9.2. Highly recommend Dr Martin!

Dr Martin is the best obgyn I have ever had. She handled my small surgery and my second pregnancy. She listens to your every need and provides options that will work best for you, your health and your baby (if you are having one). Her office is clean and very comfortable. All her staff are very knowledgeable, kind and caring. She does EVERYTHING herself which is so nice not to have to deal with 50 doctors and nurses. You pretty much see the same staff every appointment. Best thing, I didn’t have to worry about a random doctor delivering my baby. I had my son at 130am and Dr Martin was there throughout the process and delivery!! I mean what else do you need?? She is a ninja super mom, who bounces from office, to her family, to delivering babies! Thank you Dr Martin and your staff for delivering my beautiful, healthy boy!
Dr. Martin, along with her staff, are very polite and professional. I transferred to her office during my 2nd trimester from the doctor I had used since I was a teenager. My doctor highly recommended Dr. Martin so I trusted him, and I’m thankful that I did. The staff and Dr. Martin made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She is always attentive and caring. I have not delivered yet, but I am 100% confident that she will take care of me and my son.
Dr. Martin is very professional and takes mother and babys health extremely serious. Having a high risk pregnancy I felt she gave me the utmost care and listened to any concerns I had and put concerns at ease because she was so thorough with my prenatal care. Delivery was extremely fast and easy. I was induced with a folley bulb and delievered 7 hours later because Dr. Martin is very persistent and stays the whole time during labor until baby is born. She also done my sons circumcision and she did a great job with it as well. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Martin has been fantastic. She delivered my first baby on 2/5/2023. She has been a pleasure to work with throughout with pregnancy. My husband and I have had recurrent losses and she was the one that recommended further help for us, and now here we are with our precious rainbow baby. I definitely recommend Dr. Martin as an OBGYN.Update as of 4/14/2024I cannot say enough about how much I enjoy having Dr. Martin as my OB/GYN. She delivered my second baby on 4/12/2024. I was a little more nervous this time around because I was having a c-section. The procedure went seamlessly and I felt comfort in knowing ahead of time what to expect. I will continue to recommend Dr. Martin to anyone in the future.
Dr. Martin was wonderful with the care and delivery of our daughter and placement of my IUD. I had a lot of medical issues throughout pregnancy and even lost my insurance right before being admitted to the hospital overnight when I was 36 weeks. Dr. Martin personally found me another doctor that she trusted to take my case until I could get my insurance fixed and she continued to check in on me while I was in the hospital. Thankfully my insurance was reinstated before delivery and Dr. Martin was able to deliver our baby. She also did a great job with my IUD placement. She uses ultrasound before and after to make sure it goes in the right place. Very thorough! I would highly recommend!!
Dr. Martin took great care of baby and me with my second pregnancy. I had some complications with preeclampsia in the last few weeks, and she stayed on top of it. She was kind, caring, and most importantly, she prioritized my and baby’s safety above all. I felt like I had the best care with her and the labor/delivery and postnatal recovery nurses at Ft. Sanders. She will be my doctor, without a doubt, for our next pregnancy.

Dr. Martin and staff were wonderful throughout our pregnancy from start to finish! I was looking for a doctor in Knoxville whom I would be certain would be our doctor from the first appointment through birth and she certainly delivered! As a first time mom, I always had a lot of questions and Dr. Martin gave me and my husband her full attention. She responded quickly to any inquiries I sent through the patient portal and when we realized our baby was breeched, she gave me an honest assessment regarding c section versus any efforts to “turn” the baby. My c section procedure was handled with the utmost care and Dr Martin and the hospital staff made every effort to make sure it was a special birthing experience for me and my husband. And my scar healed quickly and is much less noticeable than I anticipated. An A+ all around!
I had the most beautiful first pregnancy & labor and delivery from start to finish. It was the most peaceful, comfortable experience welcoming our baby girl. Dr. Martin made sure we were all happy and comfortable and enjoyed the entire process. I felt safe and full of joy the whole time and our baby girl arrived safe, healthy, and happy!
Dr. Martin was absolutely amazing! From the start of my pregnancy to when I delivered she was informative and supportive every step of the way. Had we found Dr. Martin when we had our first child we may have not waited 4 years to have our second. We could not recommend Dr. Martin enough. If you are like me and have to have a C-section or a history of complicated births you should definitely consider Dr. Martin!
I used Dr Martin for my second baby after we moved to TN from NC. I wish she had delivered my first! I needed a repeat C Section which I knew going into the pregnancy. My first C Section was a very long and painful recovery. I had pain off and on for a year after so I was not looking forward to another. But I’m happy to say Dr Martin gave me a MUCH BETTER experience! I was walking around the hospital room no problem and only took maybe 2 weeks to feel recovered (except if I put pressure on my stomach). I know this is due to Dr Martin because she was very knowledgeable about how to perform a C Section with the latest information and how to make recovery easy. Aside from that, it is nice to have a small office where you see the same people every visit and the Dr every time also. Definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an OB!
Dr Martin was great throughout the process. She was able to give the honest difficult recommendations when needed without hesitation. Our pregnancy ended in a C-Section for the safety of the baby. This surgery went very smooth and the scarring looks like it will be very minimal. We definitely recommend having her as she delivers the baby herself 99.9% of the time and you don’t have worry about rotating OBs like many other places.
Dr. Martin has been my OB/GYN for 3 years. She listens to any concern and will always give you her honest opinion and is very direct, which I appreciate. She will always shoot you straight. Some doctors want to sugar coat issues, but she’s going to tell you the truth even if it’s unpleasant to hear. Which is what you should want in a physician. The online patient portal is easy to use and convenient. She will usually respond back to any messages you send within the same day. She’s very easy to get ahold of if you need her. She recently delivered my first baby. I was nervous to be induced but she made the experience as easy as it could be. It took almost 36 hours, I was exhausted, and when I was practically begging Dr. Martin for a c-section she talked me off the ledge by clearly outlining the potential risks of doing so along with her possibly having to use forceps on me and explained to me in detail why I we should try to avoid it. She encouraged me to keep pushing and I ended up with a vaginal delivery with minimal tearing (which was a huge fear of mine). Overall the birth was a positive experience with zero complications and my son is happy and healthy thanks to Dr. Martin.
From the very start of my pregnancy journey to the moment she delivered my beautiful daughter Dr Martin was always there. In ever Appointment she deals with a lot of patience and explains all that you wanted to know. Dr. Martin is incredible. I am so grateful that I went to her. My son was born in Seattle and I had an emergency c section with him so I was very concerned about the birth of my second child. I went to another doctor before Dr. Martin who was not great and I decided to find another doctor. Once I heard about how Dr. Martin sees her patients for every appointment and delivers their babies I knew that was where I needed to go. She not only saw me at every appointment and delivered my baby she was honest with me throughout my pregnancy. If I had even a potential complication she talked to me about it. She worked with me as a teammate to mage sure my baby and I both stayed healthy. I had gestational diabetes so I had increased appointments so she could keep a close eye on my baby. She encouraged me and told me that I was doing a good job with keeping track of my sugar. She told me she was proud of me which it is easy to feel discouraged when you have gestational diabetes. Also she made sure to include my family that I brought in for appointments. She would print them out pictures. I am forever grateful for Dr. Martin and hope to see her for my next pregnancy as well.
Dr.Martin delivered both of my babies! I love that I saw the same doctor each time and was secure knowing she was who would be at my deliveries! She is very good about answering questions, taking her time, explaining things, and involving you in your care. She lets you make decisions (within safe limits) and always makes sure to explain things before she does them. Any time I have had to call after hours, I have gotten quick responses from Dr.Martin herself! Her staff is friendly, and so is she! I am a little sad that now that baby is here I won’t be in the office as much, but I will continue to come for routine gyn care!
I had a very complicated delivery, but Dr. Martin walked me through everything and performed an emergency c-section. I am thankful I chose her to deliver my baby.
Dr Martin was amazing throughout my pregnancy experience! She is knowledgeable and really takes time to get to know her patients. I trusted her 100% throughout my pregnancy that she had my best interest in mind. She worked hard so that I could have a vaginal birth instead of a c-section and explained the steps of induction as we went, so I felt comfortable and in control. Dr. Martin is honestly incredible! I moved from Boston to Knoxville halfway through my pregnancy and she made the switch seamless. I could not have found a better OB/GYN to take care of me and help me deliver my son. When you go to Dr. Martin you can expect to be seen as an individual with individual needs. She truly loves what she does and is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced doctors I have ever been to. I am so glad I found her for this pregnancy and my future pregnancies!
Dr Martin has been my OBGYN for several years. She delivered both of my kids and did all of my prenatal care. I would recommend her. When I moved to Knoxville I wanted a female gynecologist and obstetrician, that had kids of her own. I am happy that I chose Dr Martin. She is professional, direct, cautious and has good bedside manners. I appreciate that she was available whenever I went into labor. You can tell she loves her job, specially loves delivering babies.
Dr. Martin was seriously amazing. She took care of me and my baby boy. She wanted me to feel comfortable and do what I wanted for the birth. We had a C-Section but she was the best and my scar is perfect and she checked up on us after the birth (the next day) she personally came to my room and said hey and everything. Love LOVE this lady! Super sweet and caring!! 💜
Love Dr. Martin! This is my first pregnancy and I couldn’t have had a better doctor! She’s thorough and knowledgeable. She’s extremely available for any questions or concerns. She listened to my preferences regarding my birth plan and helped me make the best decisions for the well-being of my baby! Will for sure be back when I decide to have another!

My husband and I were blessed to have Dr. Martin deliver our third baby recently. Dr. Martin stays informed on the most recent studies concerning pregnancy, and she uses this knowledge to guide her patients throughout their pregnancy journey. I felt very secure knowing she would be the one delivering our baby. She and her staff are so incredibly kind; if/when we decide to have another baby, I will definitely be returning to Dr. Martin!
Dr. Martin is amazing!!!! I have had a wonderful experience throughout my entire pregnancy. The office staff is great and all my question was always addressed in a timely manner. She is the best. She will also deliver your baby and is with you throughout your pregnancy.
Having Dr.Martin by my side through my pregnancy and delivery was an incredible experience. She made me feel comfortable and cared for by answering all of my questions and educating me thoroughly. She is very professional and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that you may have to wait in the waiting area for a while, but I’m still giving five stars - she’s worth the wait. I will definitely be choosing her again.
Dr. Martin is beyond professional. She is kind, beautiful, and knows what shes doing. I went in for an IUD replacement, which can be painful. She made sure I had a comfy experience and explained the process clearly. I will be seeing her as long as shes in practice!
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Martin. It is so nice to always see the same doctor and know that it will be that doctor that delivers your baby, unlike larger practices. She was great during my prenatal appointments. When my baby turned breech at 39 weeks, she patiently walked me through all my options and worked with me to choose the best option for me. When fibroids complicated my c section, she explained everything she was doing during the surgery and why she needed to do those things. She always discussed and chose practices that were in my best interest, and was mindful of my future choices of having any more children when she made those recommendations. I highly recommend Dr Martin.
Absolutely love Dr. Martin and all the staff! Had a successful delivery and she is super attentive throughout the entire pregnancy! I’m a nurse as well, so having a Dr. you know is great and listens to your concerns is always helpful and keeps your mind at ease! Definitely recommend her to take care of you throughout pregnancy, delivery, and after!
Absolutely amazing doctor! She delivered my second baby and I am so glad that I switched to her. She communicated so efficiently to me throughout my pregnancy and birth. Dr. Martin actually answers her office phones which I was completely surprised by plus I see her at all of my appointments. I was so glad that I go to have a great second birth experience with Dr Martin and the nurses at Fort Sanders. I transferred to Dr. Martin at 30 weeks pregnant. Right away she was attentive, informative, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Martin did an amazing job with my delivery! I had a fast labor and was ready to deliver quickly, she was ready to go, positive, kind, and knowledgeable. I felt so comfortable in her care! Thank you so much!
Dr. Martin was my ob/Gyn during the 2nd pregnancy. Even though with the 2nd pregnancy, I had less anxieties and concerns than the first one, from the very beginning Dr. Martin was there for me to check on & remind me to take everything as easy as I could. She was very realistic and practical in her way of responding to any questions and concerns that I had. Contrary to my previous ob/Gyn, Dr. Martin was present during the delivery which I ended up to do without epidural, I wasnt prepared at all for that to happen, but Dr. Martin was in the labor room to encourage me, just her presence gave me the strength and confidence that I could do that. She checked up on me everyday during my stay at the hospital after delivery, she even happened to visit me in person which I found the kindest gesture of her. Im really grateful to Dr. Martin and her team to accompany me during my whole pregnancy journey and even after that.
I had to switch to Dr. Martin for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy because my OB retired from deliveries. I was anxious switching, but Dr. Martin made the switch super easy. My baby was breech, and she performed a c-section for me (I had never had one), and she sewed me up to where I wouldn’t have a scar. I’ve been healing quickly under her care, and I love that she’s a mom to many kids like me. She knows her stuff, and she gets the job done quickly and easily. I’d recommend her!
I am very pleased with Dr. Martin! She is very thorough and very knowledgeable. She explains everything good and she’s honest with you. You can tell she loves her job. She takes the time to listen to you and for you to ask questions and you don’t feel rushed. Also her staff is great!
Dr Martin is an awesome doctor and I highly recommend her!! She accepted me as a new patient when I moved to a new state 6 months pregnant. I was nervous to find another doctor I liked but dr Martin was so great! She’s very detailed and I felt very comfortable with her. She is excellent in the delivery room. She made the labor and delivery fun and was extremely supportive during the delivery. I highly recommend her!
100/10 recommend Dr Martin! Shes amazing! I had to switch doctors in the the middle of my pregnancy, and so glad I picked her! Shes makes you feel comfortable! The best thing about her is shes the only doctor you see. You dont see 10 different midwives that dont remember you. You just see her and even with all the patients she has she still remembers details about your pregnancy. She also delivers your baby and checks on you the next day to make sure your doing okay! I plan on having her as my doctor when I get pregnant again!

Dr Martin was amazing. The staff was friendly and the environment was very comfortable. Dr Martin is knowledgeable in her profession and most importantly you can really tell that her and the staff love the job they do. I had a C-section and everything went super smooth. Dr. Martin was amazing. She made sure I had a speedy and healthy delivery. During my whole pregnancy she was very informative and made sure I was taking good care of. She also kept me and my spouse in a good mood with her up beat spirits and jokes. I highly recommend her to up coming mommys.
I had to switch to Dr. Martin when I was 36 weeks pregnant as my original doctor retired and she has been amazing! She was very personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable. This was my third child and she performed a foley bulb which was very successful! Dr. Martin was so impressive and took such great care of my baby and I the entire stay. I highly would recommend Dr. Martin!
Dr. Martin was a great OBGYN. My husband and I were very thankful to have her as a doctor for our first pregnancy. She is very knowledgeable and uses up to date evidence-based medicine when treating her patients. I trusted her to deliver my baby and she was phenomenal throughout the entire process. She made all the necessary interventions to assist me in delivering my 10lb baby naturally. She is very focused on the utmost care for her patients. I have read some comments about her commenting on patients gaining too much weight during pregnancy, and in my opinion, it is part of her job to help maintain a healthy weight throughout your pregnancy. It is in the best interest of the patient for her to watch your weight gain so that you have a healthy pregnancy. She is not the doctor to comfort your feelings about your weight, and she shouldnt have to.
Dr Martin delivers her patients babies personally, so there was no worry that my daughter in law would get a different doctor delivering our granddaughter. That is really a game changer! Shes very personable and has a wonderful bedside manner! Highly recommend Dr Martin!
Choosing Dr. Martin as my OB doctor was a great choice! Right from when you call and make an appointment her office staff is very sweet, knowledgeable, and welcoming. She has patiently answered my many questions and has been very thorough throughout my pregnancy. When I took my mother in law with me she was impressed with how on time and efficient the appointment was. Every single appointment Ive ever had at the office has gone smoothly. Ive never had to wait a long time to be seen. Which is very helpful when you are trying to get back to a job. I very much appreciate Dr. Martins care of myself and my sweet little one so much! I could not possibly recommend her practice any more!Post Delivery: Dr. Martin was absolutely wonderful during my delivery process. She was very reassuring and supportive. Dr. Martin knew that I wanted to avoid a C section as long as it was safe for my baby and myself and she and the staff at Tennova worked so hard towards that goal. I feel other doctors would have given up and simply done a c section but she stuck with me the whole day and we were able to deliver vaginally. Im so thankful for her commitment and patience.
Dr. Martin and her staff are truly awesome. She delivered my son in 2017 and was super positive and encouraging every step of the way. On my most recent visit, one of her staff members working the front who I hadnt previously had the pleasure of meeting, had such a good attitude and was super caring with each patient including myself, her name was Mackenzie and I definitely wanted to point her out as well for her awesome attitude. If I have children in the future I will be going back to Dr. Martin for delivery with them!!
The 5 star reviews were the main reason I gave Dr Martin a try when I was first trying to get pregnant. Im so glad I did because when I became pregnant I was taken care of all the way through delivery. She was there for me and my baby. From not being from Tennessee this was a leap of faith for me but I will trust her with my further pregnancies. Dr. Martin loves what she does and she is excellent at it. She listens to what you want but isnt afraid to voice up when it comes to your safety and the safety of your baby.
Dr. Martin was very connected with my Wife through her pregnancy. She made it very clear that she could be contacted at any time with any questions and was very helpful with any questions we did have. We really appreciated that she was the primary doctor and also does her own deliveries/post op procedures. We will be returning to Dr. Martin with any future babies.
We love Dr. Martin! We moved to Knoxville from Chicago, where we had an amazing OB, and found out we were pregnant a week after moving! It was so nice to have a doctor be with you from conception through birth. She has a wonderful bedside manner, tells it to you straight and never rushes your questions.

I went to Dr. Martins office with my first pregnancy not knowing what to expect and not having much knowledge about pregnancy and she was always informative and very knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with her being my Dr. She was very supportive of my decisions when we went over my birth plan. When it came to the delivery she was great. She made sure everything was on track and saw me every day a couple times a day after to make sure everything was good. I will definitely be going back to her for my future babies :)
So thankful for Dr. Martin and her staff. With it being my first pregnancy, I wanted the doctor I visited throughout my pregnancy to be the doctor that was at my delivery- Dr. Martin provided that. She was so friendly and such a calming presence throughout my pregnancy and during labor. When my delivery didn’t pan out as I had hoped, she was so encouraging during that tough moment. My c-section was super easy and my sweet daughter was born safely.I look forward to my next pregnancy and having Dr Martin as my OBGYN.
My wife and I have been to her all throughout two pregnancies and she’s always given very straightforward and competent instructions. Her and her staff have taken great care of my wife and our visits are always pleasant.Dr. Martin always answers our questions knowledgeably and helped us to feel less stressed and more aware of what was going on and what to expect.Overall I was very pleased with our interactions with Dr. Martin and her staff, and I’m grateful for all they did to help us with our little boy and girl!
Dr. Martin has delivered all of my children and just recently delivered my third son. My third delivery was not as smooth as my first two but Dr. Martin got him here safely and did not push a C-section on me like I feel most Doctors do now. She listened to my wishes and helped me deliver safely. I’m so thankful for her and how she genuinely cares about her patients.
Very thankful for Dr. Martin during my whole pregnancy. I had a planned c-section, and it went smoother than I ever could’ve imagined. She’s always very easy to get a hold of on the portal for any questions or concerns you might have. Also love the fact that she’s the only physician in her practice, so you get to see her for all your visits.
