Thankful to have answers but by far the worst experience at a drs office I’ve ever had. They constantly changed my bill, I don’t have insurance so I’m paying out of pocket. They lied on my records saying I denied issues that I emphasized that I DID have issues with. They put my name in wrong so I couldn’t even access the portal. It has been Issue after issue with these guys. I feel like none of my questions with my condition have been answered. When I asked for them to give me a paper on my condition to more understand it all they sent me was lab results that I already had. They just clearly don’t listen to any of your concerns & it feels they are just money hungry with patients. I feel I’m not listened to at all & im not getting any help. The communication here is 0/10 for sure. I also feel every time I call I’m just sent to any other person who doesn’t help with what I was calling for. For how much I’m expected to pay you would think they would be on top of caring for patients & getting things important answered. You think they would make sure your records are 100% accurate & give you all the information they have for your conditions. I’ve had to do all my own research on my autoimmune disease as every time I ask I get nowhere with them. Do yourself a favor, if you can, go somewhere else.
This was my first time going to this facility. Confusing which window to go to be checked in. Nurse was nice and helpful. My Dr didn’t take me serious because he “has seen worse cases”. He didn’t make eye contact with me. Clearly wasn’t happy that I brought my 5 month old with me. He rushed through the appointment, I felt like I wasn’t listened to or taken seriously. I didn’t get all my questions answered. He was very soft spoken, I could barely understand him, or even hear him.
Dr. Zundel was clear and efficient. Advised me about home health and walked me to the lab. The lab tech was friendly and put me at ease. The gals at the front desk were polite and quick to take care of business. Thanks!
I was here with Kelsey, Jesse and the staff for clinical research study of Mounjaro. The study was very successful for me. I didnt complete the full course of Mounjaro, due to my body having nausea from Mounjaro. However, I was very successful with the goals I made. I lost 41 pounds. My advice to Rocky Mountian Doctors: Spend some freakin $$ and buy a decent ECG machine. Kelsey had to do a shave job and she did wonderfully well with a single blade razor. In addition, she did a great job training other staff while dealing with a sub-standard ECG machine. I dont know how much companies pay you for the studies, but, get some decent equipment!Kelsey, Jesse and all others were excellent! I am a model patient, of course, but thats beside the point! Keep up the good work.
The visit was great. Dr Prier listened to my concerns in a non-judgmental way and I really felt good about my visit. He was very nice and professional. The only thing I was concerned about had nothing to do with the clinic but the lab draw. I have great veins, yet the person who drew cut the finger tip off their glove. I understand many of the patients who are drawn there have very difficult veins but the nitrile gloves are very thin now a days. I’ve drawn many ICU patients with uncompromised gloves. The other is right after swabbing with alcohol they took their gloved hand and wiped back and forth over the draw site , essentially recontaminating the freshly prepped surface. I know no one wants what one patient told me felt like fire but alcohol dried fast.
I’m not sure I should post on here how great Dr. Prier is because then I won’t be able to get an appointment! Seriously though, I love how he coaches me on how I can do better with my diabetes. I always come to him with a list of questions and walk out of there with answers and solutions! The whole staff is wonderful!
I go every 3 months and doctor David is exceptional with my care. I have been going for almost 20 years. He always helps with my concerns and he is very caring. I would not go anywhere else for my care.
I have dealt with a lot of different clinics in my sons short 3 years of life due to a plethora of medical conditions. This office by far has been the most frustrating to work with. We are new patients to Dr. Smith, and I dont hold anything against him, we had a fantastic initial experience with him as a provider, and I look forward to working with him. My issue is with the front office staff. Before his 1st visit, I called and left at least 3 messages to ask questions, confirm information, and make sure records had been successfully transferred. I didnt receive a single call back despite leaving my information. (And since then, whenever I have called and left a message, either for front office or the nurse desk, I still have yet to receive any kind of call back or response. I just have to call repeatedly.) When we entered the clinic for the 1st visit, the front office staff seemed scattered, no one knew quite who I needed to talk to about specific concerns, and they were unprofessional. My son is also on a daily rx which requires pre-authorization through insurance and specialty pharmacies. I thought we had plenty of time to get things going before his rx needed to be filled, and then I received a call from the specialty pharmacy that they didnt have any info yet. So I called and the person responsible for pre-auths hadnt sent it after 4 full weeks. Ive never had to wait that long for an office to send it out, and their excuse was the holidays, but unless that staff member took a 4 week vacation, it should have been sent out at least the week of my sons appt, if not the same day.Unfortunately our options are limited as to which offices we can go to in IF for my sons condition. I did like Dr. Smith and his approach to treatment, and just hope that maybe some office procedures and policies will improve by leaving this review.
You know, I am so impressed with the staff here at the location. I took my mom in for a simple blood draw, the receptionist who admits for the lab, see how weak she was, got her in with the urgent care here, where Katie and the staff took over, getting a plan, started an IV. The people really do CARE about their patients. Thank you Kimberly, Katie, and Chris! People who care for others deserve recognition
I have read some of following reviews, and I too get frustrated with this center. I have been a patient here for 10 years. You are getting way too many patients. Your lobby is always packed; we can never see our main doctor. The pre-approval process for prescriptions takes forever. And now, my pharmacist says there is a shortage for mounjaro, and they cannot fill my prescription. Do you think maybe this is your responsibility to notify patients when there is going to be a shortage, and what to do? This shortage started on March 1st. This is MAJOR. I want to find another doctor. Please look into these problems. This is our life, and we pay good $ for our visits.
The most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with. My phone calls are never returned. When I call Im given a big run around with incorrect information. It took 6 weeks for my Dexa scan to be scanned into my records and that was with numerous phone calls from me. My doctor ordered the envinity injections in January and 2 months later Im still getting the run around, no return phone calls and the order has not been processed. Wonderful Doctors but terrible, terrible staff. Ive never been so frustrated and its like this every single time I need a procedure
Dr. Vance and the staff are are always so nice and helpful! He has helped get my thyroid regulated and is always great to answer any questions I have. The nurses are always quick to return phone calls and help as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
I am impressed with the care I receive from Dr. Liljenquist and the staff at Rocky Mountain Diabetes. From the staff at check-in, the educators, and the lab staff to Dr. Liljenquist and the assistants, I have been given great care in the treatment of my diabetes.
Very disappointed with my experience. Dr. Lilliquist did not spend any FaceTime with me at my appointment, he spent his whole time dictating into his recorder. I’m not even sure if he knew which patient he was talking too! I had an appointment back in March 2023 with one of the PAs for my annual, just today got a callback for the results! I have left numerous messages, sent messages on the patient portal, I have went in for another appointment and asked about it then at check-in, ask the nurse, and when I left. I was assured, I would get a phone call with the results. That was three months ago. They are very quick and efficient with their billing, of course. I will not be returning. I will find another primary care. Asking for test results, and for the physician to look at you in the face during your appointment shouldn’t be too much to ask for. Shame on you Rocky Mountain diabetes center. What a disappointment.
Several times they have dropped the ball on filling out forms for my prescription that they have had in their system for over a week. Super incompetent staffing!! If there was another diabetes clinic in town, I would switch but unfortunately this is the only option. Just be aware you have to follow up several times to get them to get anything taken care of!!
I travel about 90 miles to come see Dr. Carl Vance and it is so worth the trip. He is very kind, professional, knowledgeable and explains what’s needing to be done to get feeling better. They can take your lab work there at the office. I got result’s within a day. Thanks for everything!!!
Always friendly staff, great visits and the doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and caring. I absolutely love the diabetic educators! They made my new diagnosis manageable and were more kind to me than I ever expected. I honestly love Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center.
I was very impressed with the research department. Everyone was very friendly and professional. They were knowledgeable about the study I participated and helped me to have a wonderful experience. I particularly enjoyed working with Kelsie she was always very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend anybody interested in participating in research studies to look into it! I will for sure participate in another study should I be invited to do so!
I had a very good appt. Everyone that helped me was friendly. Dr. Prier was very professional and helpful with the difficulties I was having, regarding my medication. He was empathetic to my personal feelings I was having. I feel like I am in good hands with the care he is giving me.
I was referred here during my pregnancy and saw Dr. Vance. He was fantastic. He’s so knowledgeable and really listened to my concerns. I also met with Brittany who took the time to explain everything and make sure I felt comfortable. The front staff is warm and welcoming. While I’m glad I’m no longer in need of their services, I loved going here and was well taken care of.
My experience At Rocky Mountain Diabetes was wonderful. The Doctor that I seen was very knowledgeable. And he made sure all my questions were Answered. All of the staff was very caring. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.
I recently seen Dr. David Liljenquist and let me tell you, I was impressed by his bedside manner. He treated me with dignity and respect. He actually took the time to explain the root of my health issues and recommended different treatments. The office staff and nurse were very friendly, they called me back promptly for my appt as well. I am glad I found this place.
Dr Vance was great. Gave me real hope for managing my condition and for losing weight to help me get better. *They push Ozempic and Mounjaro without really finding out if insurance will cover it and then when the coupon expires basically say well what can you do? Very frustrating and the people on the phones are not helpful in the slightest.
Dr. Smith was absolutely amazing. I was hesitant to go somewhere that wasn’t specifically for pediatric, but my son had a better experience here than when he went to a specialized pediatric endocrinologist. Dr. Smith answered all of my questions and took amble amount of time to make sure I understood what was going on. They made my son feel comfortable and safe which is soo important to me. I will always recommend them to anyone I know because they blew me away. Amazing doctor and staff all around!!
I first brought 2 of my children here due to thyroid problems. I also have thyroid problems and found this office to be so helpful that I booked an appointment to be seen! I would have given five stars, except for the fact that sometimes some of the staff seem almost bored. Not that they didnt take care of us, just that they seem kind of bored. Ive never really had to wait for my appointment and have always received my labs in a timely manner.
Kelsie and Joann were amazing to work with! They were kind, considerate, and professional. I highly recommend this team, and would gladly participate in research with them in the future. Empathy, humor, and clinical efficiency - a rare and appreciated combination!
Billing is a joke. In my opinion billing is heartless. She (Janet) refuses to hear what you have to say. I got monthly withdrawal out of my checking account for past bills before I had health insurance, and found a new doctor. My bill was pretty high from past visits. Not much someone can do if you dont have health insurance. So my bank two months ago switched my debit card number. I completely forgot with working, school, and kids to call RMD to switch that Im busy, and getting older. I will put the blame on myself with that. I get a letter in the mail that is very rude. Then when I call I explain my issue. She said we have called. I have never had a missed call from them. Not sure why I would lie about that? Then they expect 100 a month. Which is understandable but with everything going up such as gas, food ect its not something I can financially do. I said I can do 25 a month. She said no, and said because of the 25 a month she was going to send it to collections where I can make a small payment with them Instead, and that its unfair to the people who actually make payments. So basically she refused payment from me, and cut me down....I have statements of all my payments of 25 a month for the past few years. I missed two months because of a debt card change, and I get treated like less of a human, and my money is refused by this business.
I never love going to a doctors office, especially if there is a long waiting time. But no waiting time here! I just barely got seated when they called me in. And there wasnt any wait time for the doctor either. It was great!
My diabetic husband always gets the best treatment options and attention at Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center. I have osteoporosis and am always impressed by the thorough care I received from Dr. Vance and his staff. They are friendly and competent, and up on the latest research.
My father has gone to Dr Vance and his staff for at least 12 years. He recently told me this is the absolute most efficient, proactive and caring staff he has ever been involved with. He feels very respected and important in their eyes. He has had many health issues in the past few years unrelated to his type 2 and Dr Vance has referred him without hesitation to good doctors. He said Dr Vance will always take the time needed to explain and answer any question. We rate these folks a very strong 5!!!
I can’t stand this place from both a patient and caretaker’s prospective. You will never be seen at your scheduled appointment time. So be prepared to wait a good 30 minutes (at least) past your scheduled time. Front office staff typically could careless and doesn’t want to be bothered. Dr. Lilenquist has horrible bedside manner and is quite rude. Tends to appear fairly bored when dealing with patients. When tests are ordered they rarely send them off so you can actually get the tests done. And then you get to go through rounds of phones calls being told “why yes we do have your labs but we can’t give them to you because Dr. lilenquist needs to review them.” My mom waited well over a week for results related to potential thyroid cancer that just sat at their office. They are just a nightmare to deal with. You are nothing but a number here. The only positive thing I can say is the nurses have consistently been kind and helpful. Avoid this place in every way possible.
I have been a patient here for years (finally left) and I have been continually disappointed and frustrated with the (lack of) quality of care and treatment from staff. They are rude, short and unhelpful. They even put in a strangers contact information in for mine so I could not access my own medical information. Additionally, its a rare occurrence when they pick up their phone. Save yourself and go literally anywhere else. Could not stress that enough.
Dr. David Liljenquist has been the first doctor we have visited in more than three years that actually took the initiative to actually care and learn more about my sons rare genetic disorder. He took extra time with me to learn more about the condition and is willing to work with NIH to look for newest treatments and care for this disorder. His staff was very kind and helpful. Very great experience.
I have had so many issues with this clinic. No one answers the front desk phone or the nurses station. When I am able to get ahold of anyone they won’t tell me lab results or any information other than to “make no changes”. My concerns are never addressed and I get conflicting information from everyone at the clinic I talk to.Dr Vance is pleasant but was not up front with me that he is not the endocrinologist at this clinic. Trying to getting a diagnosis or any answers here feels pointless and I am so frustrated. I feel like I have no other options other than to continue going here but I no longer wish to be a patient here because of the poor support and inability to contact.
I was put on a study medicine which increased blood circulation, lowered my cholesterol by 80+ points and helped me lose 52#. I was monitored by Kelsie who was my contact at the clinic. She was easily available by phone. Kelsie was very encouraging and accommodating. I enjoyed this opportunity.
My family and i love Rocky Mountain Diabetes. I felt like when we enter the office the front desk lady was young but very nice and asked if my two year old wanted something to color. And it was super helpful with a 5 week year old baby. Also we love dr. Smith and his nurses. And we are so grateful we have a pediatrician endocrinologist here! He is incredibly smart. He has been very professional, takes his time and really listens and answers. It is comforting to know that my 8 week old son is in good hands. The first couple weeks, he called us twice when we had questions and talked to me for about 15 minutes. I know doctors are busy, but i was comforted knowing that he cares and was so grateful for his time. He answered all our concerns and i felt so much better knowing what to do to help my son. We are in good hands in idaho falls. Thank you RM diabetes!
Dr. Dave Liljenquist is amazing. He always takes time to tell me, in detail, what is going on, what my options are, and benefits/drawbacks for each proposed solution. I feel empowered and am able to make my own informed choices. The staff is INCREDIBLE as well! Every one of them is pleasant and accommodating. You aren’t going to find a better Office or endocrinologist!
I never leave google reviews, but dr.smith at Rocky Mountain diabetes was so awesome I just had to! He took care of my son today for thyroid issues and I couldnt have been more impressed! He was extremely knowledgeable but put things in a way that I could understand! So friendly, and actually cared for my child as an individual! Our appointment was right on time, no waiting, and the staff at the front, as well as the pa, was super sweet, and friendly.
Horrible service. I have been trying to get a medication pre authorized for weeks now and nothing has happened. I try to call the office and I am on hold for 15 min and I finally get through to get transferred right to an answering machine. If you are trying to get answers on something good luck!
I have been a patient here for the last several years. This office, from the front desk, the nursing staff, and the providers are all top notch! They truly care about each and every patient, and this says everything about them. If you are in need of an Endocrinologist, whether as an adult, or a pediatric one, and want great care for your well-being, this is the place for you!
Be prepared to feel like a number and not person nor a patient. Most of my issues were completely brushed off. I have cancer, I left my appointment today and cried in my car.
Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center has excellent service and a great team! Even the receptionists are helpful, friendly, and encouraging. My test results always come back quickly, and I receive top notch care. I’m grateful for the help I’ve received.
I have been in the medical field for 23 years. This happened a couple years ago and I should’ve posted this here couple years ago. When it happened. I have to say, Dr Vance is The most rudest doctor I have ever encountered. And his nursing staff was just as nasty as he was. He told me I should thank my lucky stars that he even takes my insurance! This was right after I told him his nurse was mean to me. He started yelling at me. Seriously yelling at me so mean so unkind!!! asked if I could see Dr. David Lillianquest , And then he tells me no. He keeps on yelling at me he tells me , telling me that I would survive in a pioneer age because I was so heavy, I would have all this fat to help me live through the winter. I was like how heavy does he think I am! And he just kept going! I couldn’t believe as I’m sitting here listening to this man, was shocked about how he treats his Patients. All I could think about was how the medical board needs to be aware of this man!Sadly, I had to beg him to let me stay because my Doctor Who sent me there had to be cleared by him. He was awful and he should not be practicing medicine. Now Dr. David Linquist he is very nice and kind. But he even treated me differently after he read a false accusation report That Dr. Vance Wrote On me, my guess is the save his but because of his behavior. He made accusations that never even happened in my visit with him.I read the documentation later, and I let the insurance know that he lied and was dishonest In his documentation about the visit. And I let them know none of this never even happened, and he was turning it back on me to save his own but because of how he treated his patients. Apparently he has multiple reports on him. I was floored. They said that they made note of it and they would be making some phone calls.I hope that the medical board is aware of him! Do not go to this man! Any doctor is better than him. He is cocky, conceited, and of course a liar and makes him not Credible my book! And don’t even get me started on his horrible bedside manner, that is not a good concoction for A Dr.
Dr. Liljenquist is amazing, caring, and helpful and the CNAs are always kind. However, dealing with nurses and the front office staff is awful. They act inconvenienced and apathetic when asking them for help (filling out forms, changing appointments, renewing prescriptions, etc.). Usually I have to call the nurses station multiple times to get a new prescription called in or have forms filled out. Its frustrating. It has happened every time.Again, the doctor is amazing but would love to see some changes in other parts of the staff.
Got in fast, also arranged for a bone scan within the hour. Totally made things easier for me.
Dr. Brett Zundal is amazing! There is also a nurse named Taylor that made me feel very comfortable. Was extremely professional, and had a great sense of humor. I will be coming back again!
Friendly and efficient in all aspects! Dr. Vance is at the cutting edge of his work which is quite helpful to his patients.
When walking in, if the receptionist acknowledges you, its a miracle! (Usually theyre to busy glaring at the screen) when you walk up to the desk, theyll just get tenser and angeryer till someone else talks to you. The nurses are about the same, and the phlebotomist refuse to listen to what you say. If the doctor asked you to give them a message, be assured they will give you attitude and refuse it. Doctors are great though (if you can actually see them).
Dr. Williams is easy to talk to and professional. Rocky Mountain has addressed my diabetes needs and I would recommend their care...
My family doctor referred me to them because he suspected my problem was endocrinologic in origin. He sent my medical record to them, and when I called to make the appointment they said, We dont diagnose endocrine problems, we treat them. Once you have a diagnosis, call us back. This was information passed on to me from Dr. Liljenquist. The staff was rude and acted like I was bothering them. They had absolutely no interest in my as a patient or my problems. They do not have a basic level of compassion. Dont go there.
I was well taken care of all my needs were addressed, thank you so much!
I saw NP Williams, he is rude, arrogant, and ultimately told me to just play around with my medication until I felt better. With a resting heart rate of over 100 bpm you think he would give some sort of medical advice. However, he just told me that if I get fat from one thyroid medication to start taking the other one. A complete waste of time seeing this guy.
Horrible horrible support. My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 2 weeks ago. After multiple requests to get an insulin prescription sent to my insurance there still is no request!!! Also, similar story for the Dexcom G6. I am his parent who also has type 1 diabetes. In 25 years I have never seen such lack of integrity and profession care. My son is using MY insulin to survive! RUN from these people!!!!! I wish I could sue them.
Was just told by Jonathan (FNP) I cant use Gabapantine and Lyrica together. Not true. In fact studies are on going to see its synergy effect. Drove 2 hours just to go over insulin sliding scale. Another $250 down the drain. Why did I even bother.
This office is full of amazing Drs and staff that all relate to and care very much for their patients with every step of any process.
Rocky Mountain Diabetes gives personable treatment and the doctors spend time listening to patients. I especially loved the front desk personnel who were friendly and helpful and made me feel at ease.
I am sorry to see others have not had a good experience with this clinic. Mine has been excellent. I would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Diabetes and Osteoporosis Center. I have been a patient for over 10 years.
My wife had gestational diabetes and Megan there was a godsend! She was able to help my wife lose 35lbs over a few months and even answered my wifes text at 9:30 at night on a Saturday. Thats pretty amazing service if you ask me!
I would give a million stars if possible. After years of being passed from doctor to doctor never being listened too, finally someone who cares. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful.
My appointment was on time. The nurse and doctor listened to me and the doctor was awesome!.
Diabetes Educators were knowledgeable, helpful, and resourceful. They listened to my concerns, needs, and helped me to make good decisions for myself.
I love this office! From the Drs to the office staff.Always helpful and very friendly.
Absolutely fantastic, everything about Rocky Mountain Diabetes is wonderful! I feel very blessed that my son is a patient there!
They see patients in a timely manner. Appreciated not having to wait way past our appointment time.
Dr Vance is a great doctor, always listens to my questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who has Diabetes
I have received emails of my blood results but have not heard from the Dr or nurse to see if it warrants my thyroid meds increased. ??
Om time appointment. Convenient location.Pleasant staff.
Had a visit with their new doctor, Kevin Prier. He was awesome. Happy I chose him.
Don’t go to this clinic for hrt they refused to refill my medication but gave me my testosterone blocker and a different one but not my estrogen I called the staff was rude to me and didn’t understand why I had been up there I live in Pocatello my truck is broken so I have no other way up but that doesn’t matter to them and they never called me about my appointment or anything else they love making you suffer and because of them my depression and anxiety have gone up I will be moving dr because I can’t see a dr who puts them above the patient and refuses to give me the medication I need stay away from this place they will cause you more problems then anything
This is the worst place I think I have ever been too I have a pump and cgm that don’t work the Dr all he does is bash the kind of pump I have never gave me any help or adjustments to make if your a veteran please stay away from this place.
Helped me solve a big issue that I had with my diabetes. Now with there help its back under control.
Excellent medical care! Staff is attentive to patient needs. I would recomment 100%
In my 64 years this is the best Medical Group I have ever found. Competent, kind, concerned just great people. The best
Efficient place for lab work along with pharmacy services, all in one place. Clear and concise visit with Healthcare providers.
The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. I am very happy with my results.
Rude and unhelpful nursing staff. Whether its in person or on the phone, they act irritated and inconvenienced. Its frustrating when you are paying people money and they arent helpful, especially when youre in a bad situation.
Everything was quick and efficient. Everyone was kind and helpful. I had a great experience.
I had a very good experience. Dr.Prier is very nice. Every one is kind.

I feel very lucky to have Dr. Smith as my son’s doctor!
Love the staff there they are friendly and welcoming very understanding when you have very small children.
Listen these great people literally saved my life when I became inflicted with type diabetes millions but be patient they treat a lot of patients but they are the best there is at what they do.
Friendly staff. Only compliant is that they struggle to call you back when you leave a message.
Awesome doctors and PAs. Quality care and resources.
Nice visit via phone. Friendly staff. All questions were answered.
Very knowledgeable and helpful. Am doing much better now. Thanks.
Great staff and knowledgeable in finding the best options for me!
Poor response time in getting called back. No direct line to the Pocatello office. Only leaving message with nurse did I get response back.
It went well I’m everyone was friendly

Its and ok place but for a specialist . Dont waist your money . The staff is crappy there is nurse on the phone answering questions whi le other are playing on thier phone and watching stupid videos after speaking with them were i wanted my perception sent and why they still sent it to the wrong pharmacy .I even noticed it before I left the dr office and they still sent it to the wrong one . When I later found out they changed my perception FROM THE PHARMACY I asked why I was not informed of the change so that I could ask questions .They had no idea . THEY tried to say I requested the change and I could just stop taking it .For being a specialist and saying ..to just stop taking yourMeds because you had questions dont sound right . Pluss when I went on the medication . They said you should slowly reduce the dose .SO WHEN ASKING QUESTIONS to the nurses she couldnt answer them . For specialist they are not
