Tops Surgical Specialty Hospital

I had a fusion done on my Big Toe on 12/17/24 and from the moment I got my first call to schedule my surgery I had nothing but an amazing experience with TOP Surgical. From scheduling, to anaesthesia calling me, to check-in,. Pre-op was so caring and attentive, post op of course is a blur but my sister said they were amazing and they even called me at home twice to check on me 🥰🥰🥰. I can not say enough good things about this place.

Very pleased with my experience. From the front desk to the releasing nurse everyone made me feel at ease and special. No one rushed through their part. Each person made you feel you were special to them very professional in their proceedings and yet very personal with your individual needs and concerns. I would recommend this hospital highly to anyone.

Check-In was fast and efficient.👍 Person was kind and professional.😍 Pre-Op Nurse was Awesome!🤩👏😎 Love my Ortho Dr. Fahl of course!❤️ I don’t remember much about Post-Op except when I woke up, my favorites were there to greet me…..a Sprite, Water and Peanut Butter Crackers!😋 (If they asked me what I wanted, I don’t remember, but after not eating or drinking since the day before, I was thrilled with the selection 😂) My Pre-Op Nurse checked on me in Post-Op!🥰 They were very attentive and helpful and kept me comfortable and most importantly alive!🙏😂🥰 Dr. Fahl called to check on me that evening after my surgery and my Post-Op Nurse called the following morning to check on me.🙏 Very thorough prior to day of surgery, loved the before and after pics. I had a torn Medial Meniscus, but all I see, is Jupiter.😂 Overall, a great experience.👍 Highly recommend!🤩 It had a little boutique hotel feel to it.😍😎

This is my second time to use Tops surgical specialty hospital... Everything about this place is phenomenal! The staff is amazing and they put you at ease whenever youre going through something thats really painful and scary. They are very attentive easy to work with and all in all a wonderful place! I highly recommend them!

Such a great choice for my 10 level lumbar fusion. The Drs, nurses, CNAs, and ALL other departments and staff members were nothing but wonderful. It was important to them to make sure I was doing well and feeling okay and that my pain was well managed. The nurses treated me like family for my nearly 2 week stay. I would definitely return and am appreciative to everyone who made a difference in my care while there. Its definitely a different experience than going to a regular hospital. At Tops; you get more one on one care with familiar faces and even the chef checked in on me and asked me of i needed anything. Loved it there!

Tops is absolutely the best hospital in this area. I had a knee replacement there and I have had several procedures on my back for pain management. The physicians are very knowledgeable and definitely experts in their specialties. The facility staff is incredible. The anesthesiologists go over my medical history in detail which makes me very confident that I’m getting the best care. And the nurses are so competent, helpful and kind. From the registration desk to being wheeled out to my car, everyone is friendly and very nice. Now when I need any kind of procedure, I make sure my doctor is affiliated with Tops. That way I know for sure I’m getting the very best. My sincere thanks to everyone!

I’m always happy with Tops specialty hospital as they take very good care of you like your family when you first end of the hospital, the registrar there is one of the most kind ladies you ever wanna meet so right from the beginning you get the best of service she has blonde hair with the gentle soul She said your mind at ease when you walk through the door she has a kind smile for you and a gentle voice You then you go to the back the nurses that I’ve dealt with always listen when I tell them what needs to be done in order to get my IV started. They walk you through the steps of everything you And do and they are very gentle with you so I’m very very grateful

Everyone who I spoke to at this hospital was so extremely nice, patient, informative and helpful!! From the billing department to the ladies in post op everyone was so accommodating and nice to me and my mom!! Everything was nice and clean too! It was a bit of a drive for us but definitely worth it!!

Every one was so nice and efficient at Tops Surgical Specialty Hospital! I would definitely go there again for surgery if I needed surgery or any other procedure!

The nurses and doctors were so caring at tops and blew my mind! One of the nurses stayed with me after my surgery and brushed my hair off my face and held me because I was in so much pain. I was like I had my mom there and it was absolutely wonderful! Such a caring team of great doctors and nurses!

The staff was superb and the surgery went smoothly. Dr. Timothy Miller is the best-so nice/great beside manner! He did not push for surgery or suggest it at all when I went to see him for another injury (& then I asked him about it). I would highly recommend him-and Im glad he was associated with TOPS! All the staff came in to introduce themselves and the anethesiologist gave me a block, which was effective for a couple of days after the surgery and my pain has been so minimal, I can hardly tell that I had surgery at all! Plus, I think my big toe is going to be very sexy when its healed :),

This facility exceeded my expectations by FAR! I figured its just another hospital. No! Absolutely NOT!! Every single person I interacted with spoke to me with care and compassion. Not just another patient. They treat you so wonderful and will drop what they are doing to help you navigate through any questions or concerns. I met pre-op staff, lab staff, front desk, a head nurse, anesthesiologist, physical therapist and the business office .. They were phenomenal!! I never want to go anywhere else!

Very friendly staff checking people in early in the morning, the nurses were cheerful and helpful, the doctor saw extra things that needed fixing and took care of them during surgery and met with me in person to discuss how well the surgery went. They took good care of my husband during surgery and after and gave clear instructions what to do at home for post-op. The lady at the front desk also had a warm blanket for me to keep me warm while waiting and they had free snacks. It is not a super huge place so everything is close and you dont have to walk a mile to get places yet their facilities are well equipped and very nice. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Care was great! Even had edible food on menu. Staff did everything they could to make my husband and me comfortable and informed.Many thanks to all Susan Bates

Best hospital experience I have ever had (TOPS - Red Oak). From the initial phone calls, to check in, staff, the building, even the food was top notch. The nursing/techs team was great. Everyone knew their job. The experience level seemed to be very high and everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. At some hospitals you ask for something, they leave to go get it but it ends up being an hour before they get back. Not at TOPS. When I asked for something, I would have it in just a few minutes.I would highly recommend this facility.

I had a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy done at the same time here. Was nervous going in, but the staff here were all super kind and knowledgeable, made a not so enjoyable process as painless as possible. If for some reason I had to do one again I would want it done here, would reccomend

Very friendly and attentive people working on Christmas Eve morning, even though I’m sure they would have rather been home with their families. My Pre-Op nurse Martha, was awesome, as was Natalie who did my Pre-Op phone call.I stayed over a couple of nights and the nurses (Kristy, Mel, Reyslie & Lydiene) ….they were there when I needed my pain meds or anything else. My Techs (Noah & Simone), they really got to know me; ready to help me to the restroom, get more water or ice bags.Last but not least Linny,(PT) worked on what I needed(stairs) to get me safely into my home.Dr Winkler did a great job on my revision of my knee.

Tops surgical is one of the best specialty hospitals in the United States. The staff is fantastic. the doctors are awesome!! and the food is great. I would recommend Tops Surgical to anyone. Dr. George did an excellent job at replacing my knee He is an awesome!! Surgical Specialist..

I found Tops Surgical to be over-all a wonderful experience. The facility was very clean and organized. The entire staff that I had to interface with was extremely professional and friendly. First class all the way! Great Job!

I was treated so well from check-in to roll out! The experience with Dr. Shar was very pleasant. Support staff, from everyone I made contact with beforehand, billing to your nurses and their support staff, anesthesiologist and recovery staff all the same, just a joy. From the registration to the time i left everyone that attended to me was amazing. Made me feel completely at ease. Thank you for taking pride in the care of your patients. Post op appt went great really love all the staff

I contacted TOPS before posting this review and told them if they want to speak with me before I post a bad review I would give them a week to call me to discuss. No contact was made by them at all for 3 weeks. So, here it goes. I had spine surgery in early August and had a horrific experience in dealing with the night nurses (name was Effie and another was a tech nurse--dont remember her name). I had a FALL RISK sign in my room and not once did they help me get to the bathroom. They just watched me as I was extremely dizzy and ran into the wall trying to get to the bathroom by myself. This could have ended horribly since I had cervical spine surgery hours before. I asked several times if I could hold on to her and she just backed up away from me. She was always so annoyed when I had to call her in for something (which was not often at all) Also, I spent hours waiting for dinner and by 9-10 pm I asked the nurse when dinner would be served and she said it was already over. I never got ONE bite of food even though I was in the room from surgery well before 4-5 pm for dinner hours. She said all I have is room temperature jello and crackers. So, she brought me that and the jello was literally liquid. I was so desperate for food that I drank that and ate the crackers. I had to remind the nurse of when my meds should be coming...she was late several times giving them to me. Also, on the day of release I had a PT guy named Alfred help me with walking, which I told him I was very dizzy still. He kept calling me babe and used a lot of curse words when discussing things with me and my husband. He wasnt cussing at me, but was very unprofessional in explaining things by including curse words. It was the most odd interaction Ive had with a professional. He mentioned research he was also doing and seemed to be promoting something he was doing behind the scenes and asked if it was okay if he called me about it. I still dont get what that was all about.I just have to say the day nurse was incredible and sweet and that was IT. I will never return to have any type of surgery at this center. It was traumatizing to say the least.

I did pre admission testing and attended a class for preparing for my upcoming surgery. Everyone was cheerful, efficient and professional.My surgery and post op care was wonderful. They answered the call bell promptly and attended to me, whether it was meds for pain or help to the bathroom. I highly recommend TOPS for surgery. I will definitely go back if I need surgery in the future.

This will be my 4th knee surgery. Second facility for surgery. I would recommend to anyone needing a surgery done. From the moment I walked in to the nursing staff, anesthesia, pre op, post op. I was treated with kindness compassion and made to feel like I was the only patient there! Anesthesia was amazing when I woke from surgery and was in severe pain he quickly gave more medicine and a nerve block that eased my pain tremendously! Even offering to keep me for pain control. My doctors staff Dr Dean were also fantastic. Always answering calls prior to surgery and after. I called this morning and got immediately taken care of with questions and concerns I had. I am so thankful for everyone involved! A truly amazing experience for such a horrible thing to deal with. Thank you all so much !! I have more surgery to come and now have peace of mind I will be in the best hands! God Bless and Thank you

I attended a class on knee replacement. Kelly did an excellent program on what we could expect before, during, and after the knee replacement. Also, the staff did a very efficient job of the labs, x-rays, and bloodwork. Natalie was my nurse, and she was very professional and answered all my questions. Excellent!!!

This is a very good place to get procedures done. Everyone is very kind and helpful. They took very good care of me recently and I’ve been there several times over the past five or six years. This a really good surgical center.

Topps Surgical was great for me. From walking the front doors for check in, to being taken to your room and getting prepped for your surgery, to going back and securing you. The doctor and everyone coming in to see you before surgery, go over everything that will happen and what to do afterwards. Helping you to your vehicle. Tops surgical was hands down the cleanest and very efficient hospital! I had my gallbladder removed and hardly have any pain. They took the time to explain how everything was going to work and made me super comfortable!

Everyone went above and beyond to ease my anxiety and make me comfortable before and after surgery! Great bedside manner and that is hard to find now days. I would recommend them to everyone. And would definitely go back if I had to have surgery again.

I had a wonderful surgery. I had the sweetest nurse ever. And my anesthesiologist was great and he did a wonderful job and had me good and ready for surgery. TOPS is really the best place for you or a family member to undergo a medical procedure. This time it was me. From check-in to being released to go home I was treated with respect, comfort and information about care at home. The nurses make you feel as you are their only patient. Thank you all for your attention and care during and after my procedure.

If anyone needs outpatient surgery, this is the place to go. The staff in all areas of the facility were so wonderful and caring. The nursing staff were all so professional and nice. Annie, Cindy, Kris, Simonne and Alfred just to name a few were there to see that all needs were met. I would definitely recommend this hospital for any of your surgical needs.

My husband had a complete knee replacement at TOPS on November 19, 2024 in which everyone from the admission clerk , OR Staff , Post OP/Recovery staff, nursing staff, PT staff were extraordinary! Extremely knowledgeable and professional making him feel comfortable and advising him of the “to do’s and not to do’s” once he leaves the TOPS facility. We highly recommend TOPS as your outpatient facility! .

Easy check in and easy check out. All the staff were helpful. I had excellent care during my 2 night stay. I recommend trying the potato soup.

Awesome place & we were very pleased with all the doctors. Nurses, nursing assistants, etc . We got some wonderful care by all the staff! Everything that was done to me or for me was explained.

I have had several procedures done at this facility and would recommend the Tops Specialty Surgical Center. I feel that this center is a top-notch place to have surgical procedure. The staff members are so caring and easy to communicate with. The facility is very well kept up and clean.

I can’t say enough for Tops. From the moment you arrive to when you leave I was there number one patient. Doctor George is my surgeon a was looking out for me even when he wasn’t on duty. All the nurses, my PT person got me through the days of pain. Hat off to the Chef that came by to make sure I was happy with my meals. I have a long road to recovery but I’m positive about the outcome thanks to Tops!

I had a very quick Procedure and was very grateful for every person I came in contact with! Every nurse was efficient, thoughtful and kind. I appreciate it their smiles and their service. Dr. Kanjia was excellent as well.!

TOPS made sure I was comfortable and that everything went smoothly with my procedure. They have friendly personnel who make you feel at ease. Smiles were encountered from the front desk all the way through discharge.

The team was great. From checkin nurse to surgeon. Medical staff all had great bedside manner and explained fully what to expect and after surgery also. The facility need a bit of a facelift and nonstale crackers a a usual craving for nausea after surgery. All in all I’d recommend.

Tops Surgical Specialty Hospital is a place to be for your surgeries. From check-in to discharge, the staff are simply amazing. Its evident that the medical team cares about their patients; your just not a number to them. Im grateful for the care I received. There arent enough words to express my appreciation for Dr. Alexander Nguyen for taking me on as a new patient on short notice.

The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was always comfortable and had exactly what I needed. The place was clean, and the food was actually really good. Highly recommend.

Had neck repair to previous fusion on 10/28/2024. Was supposed to stay overnight but the doctor went for a less invasive procedure which worked better for me. Either way, I woke up confused and in pain. I received some iv meds and didnt work so they added a little more then the nurse said I need to get you on pill so you can get out of here so he gave me a pill and got my husband. Once my husband arrived the nurse quickly stood me up and said, nice now get dressed im getting the wheel chair. He quickly reads some discharge instructions and wheels me out. I didnt even get out of the confusion yet. About halfway home, mind you Im 1.5 hours away, I come around and realize they still have all my stuff.I took a class the week prior and was told a physical therapist would come by and assist in making sure I could walk and maybe some stretches I could do. Well, needless to say, nothing from the class came true for me in the kindness after surgery, etc. I checked out around 3 pm.The day after surgery I had to get someone to drive me back up for all my heart pills and stuff left behind. So much for their discharge checklist. When I got my pills there was no inventory or anything. They said it was in the discharge paperwork. Figures.One person ruined the experience and added a whole extra day of pain and BS by just not following the checklist. Funny thing is it was on the last page of the paperwork I was given when I left. I was glad to get out in one day and not have to stay but you didnt have to treat me like TRASH. I paid cash up front for everything. I deserved better.Nurse that checked me in and did the IVs, Brenda G., she was amazing and so was my doctor. After that, services just werent there. So disappointing.

Tops continues to go above and beyond my expectations. They are always professional, courteous, kind, personable, and very knowledgeable. I guess that I have had 6 or 7 procedures done at Tops in the last year and a half. I TRUST them completely. Cannot say enough about them.

Everything was first class the care and the food. But my departure assistance was not done well. My nurse was in at noon and I signed the paperwork. We were shooting for 2:00. An aide came in and after all the talk of not moving around the room without assistance she left me in the bathroom and did not return for an hour. So I just sat for an hour until she returned and asked why I wasn’t dressed. I told her I thought I wasn’t to move about without a nurse in attendance. She contradicted me and assured me that I was on my own. I dressed and packed up carefully. She wheeled me out to the car. Sadly I left the spirometer behind.

Every aspect of my experience at Tops was outstanding..from pre op class several weeks before surgery, to pre op, surgery, recovery, and hospital stay. Awesome staff. I’d highly recommend Tops to anyone.

Mom had reconstructive surgery this week and the entire nursing staff was extremely caring. Made us all feel very comfortable. Special thanks to nurses David OR Nurse, Lauren & Jenn in recovery.

I had my broken ankle repaired and then spent 3 days until I could be moved to a rehab center. Not once did I have any complaint with any one or anything in the hospital. The staff did all they could to help me each and every day.

Very happy with my shirt stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses made me feel comfortable.

My father is having surgery on his hip in a few weeks. He signed up for a class and pre-op tests. We were there for about 41/2 hours. I feel they can stream line the process, especially since the first hour we just sat there. The staff is extremely polite and they were a little busy, but need to be cognizant that people need to get other things done.

Wonderful people and to the nurse that showed my hubby how to use crutches. He still stinks at it. Bought a scooter instead.If you ever need foot surgery, these are the people to go to! Dr McTavish and his 2 nurses are just fantastic and they will do what needs to be done to make you comfy.And not worry!

Every employee of the hospital was first class. Each of them treated me like I was a member of the family, and went above and beyond to insure that I was as comfortable as possible, and fully informed about what was happening and what I should expect. Even the kitchen was great - cooking like they would at homeI highly recommend TOPS Surgical.

Great place, was very comfortable there, nurses & staff were WONDERFUL.tho whoever took the tape off my eyes pulled skin off my face & the the Intubaition was very rough, throat was sore 2 days.Still, my Dr is Great and thats where we go

I had knee replacement at Tops and cannot say enough good things about my experience. From pre op, all the Brendas, to surgery Dr Dean, to post-op, Shayne Simone Fonda Annie Branda and Gloria, everyone is caring and nurturing. I would highly recommend this facility to any family member or friend. You cannot go wrong in working with them.

I’m not a person who likes surgeries less alone hospital stays one thing I can say two things for sure the staff is amazing. The food was very different from other hospital food. I would most definitely recommend everyone who has surgery needs to visit this team of doctors surgeons.

Had my pre opp today at TOPS surgical. I hope my surgery will as painless as my visit went. Everyone was plesant and informative and I was out of there in about an hour.

I thought they were fantastic! Very attentive when I got there. Please know if you are on any kind of mounjourno or epic or anything like that you have to not eat at all the day before surgery. Only a liquid diet. Very important or they can’t do your surgery

I was really impressed with my presurgical testing visit. They have baskets of snacks with water in a few places which I thought was a nice welcoming touch and really helpful. Front check-in was really helpful at both the testing check-in and the front door check-in. Very friendly , efficient, helpful. Facilities appeared to be clean, lots of hand sanitizer around. I spent time with a nurse doing pre surgery questions/review. She was very thorough and friendly. She answered all of my questions and was very pleasant and professional. Then I went to have my blood drawn and was very pleased . We had a nice conversation while he drew my blood and did my EKG with quick precision and ease. I barely felt the needle prick for the blood draw which I very much appreciate. Overall it was a wonderful experience and it was nice to get a glimpse of things at this hospital before I go in for surgery in a few weeks. It definitely boosted my confidence.

My pre-admission for an upcoming total ankle replacement surgery was pleasant, fast and thorough. I had several tests that were all completed without delays.

Excellent staff, especially pre-op nurse Brenda J. When in for meniscus tear. Arrived at 530. Pulled to the back by 6, Doctor came in at 7. Was heading home by 930. This place is amazing.

Had day surgery and the entire staff and facility was an excellent experience. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

What a great place to have a procedure. The staff is amazing. From preop (Mary) to the OR team (Algin, Francine, Pam, and Dr. Pacha) to PACU (Jason), the whole experience was top notch. I felt very comfortable and well cared for.

I watched a TV show why they put the IV in me waiting for surgery.I woke up in the same room under the TV. Everyone was excellent and polite.I had no memory and no pain. Just the way I like it.

Everyone is awesome from the anesthesia and all the staff very professional I never knew that it worked on me so fast I want to sleep woke up the recovery everything was done beautiful people service

2nd time using TOPS for outpatient in last 3 years. Both times everything went smoothly from scheduling, pre-op, day of checkin to going home. Highly recommend and happy my Dr chose TOPS.

Great care! Presurgery with Sheralyn was excellent along with post-surgical care with Cindy (Cheryl? - post surgery fog brain). Alfred is a great Physical Therapist. Gives encouragement where needed. Surgery went well and I would definitely recommend TOPS Surgical Ctr. Should I need a future hip or knee replacement, this would be the place!!

I had a very positive experience with this hospital. I found myself having a slight panic attack and the nurses and doctors were very good. I wouldnt hesitate for a minute returning to this hospital for future treatment.

I had a wonderful experience at Tops Surgical Specialty Hospital. Everything was organized from start to finish. I was attended by experienced, caring and professional staff.

I’m very glad I chose to have my knee replacement surgery done at TOPS. It’s not grand or pretentious, but it has great doctors, the best nursing care, and because it’s small, personal attention is given to patients which is most important for recovery. Everyone is so caring.I had my 1st knee surgery last year with Dr. Michael S. George and I was impressed, and when I returned last month to have my 2nd knee surgery with the same doctor, I was happy to note some positive changes. Both times I stayed 2 nights and I cannot say enough good things about the nurses Sarah, Jennifers, Jincy, Kelly, Felicia, Kris, and therapist Lennie. If I have left anyone out in error, I do apologize. You all were great!The food is very good and you get a lot of choices. I never thought I’d say this about hospital food, but the bread pudding is really something!I know some people were discouraged seeing the laundry carts kept in the hallway outside patient rooms, and this made them not choose TOPS. It makes me sad as it’s a minor issue, one that I’m sure TOPS can easily remedy.I would most definitely recommend TOPS to everyone for their surgical needs.May I add that my husband had a procedure last year with Dr.Turnquist and he was highly satisfied too.

Staffs at Tops were kind and helpful.Dr Anson Nguyen, my plastic surgeon did a fantastic job on browlift, and upper and lower blepharoplasty . He is very gentles and skillful, with the help of his medical team, the surgery went so well and my wound almost heal in just 3 days. Thanks to Dr Nguyen and Tops Surgical Hospital.

I stayed June 7 and June 8. The nurses and techs were very nice. A girl named Lindon was my nurse Saturday, I think early evening until Sunday early morning. She was so extra specially nice and kind to me. I was very disoriented and couldnt see well or hear because of the bandages. She was extremely gentle and understanding with me. The other girls were nice but not as great as her.There was also a tech named Kris who was also extremely kind and understanding. They both deserve a raise and to be noticed for their excellent work and their understanding..

I never want to have procedures done anywhere else. Over all the years that I have been a patient there, everything was always incredibly amazing - staff super friendly, rooms clean, procedures went smoothly & all those in my care were caring & kind.

One complain I had about America is that patients are seen as products, not people.This place is the opposite, my relative and I felt very welcomed, they have coffee and tea, it’s very clean, and staff is always willing to help, friendly and caring. ❤️❤️❤️

My first time in the facility , from the front desk to leaving everything went smoothly , I was given updates as we progressed to the procedure ,all personnel were courteous and caring .

I had surgery here on 6/27. The staff are the TOPs (sorry for the Dad joke) Thank you to Nurses Mary, Christy, Mel, Annie, and Effie who not only tended to my needs but also tended to my family’s concerns. They were a blessing. The anesthesiologists were also very good to ease my sole going into my first surgery and helping me find comfort before going under. I know that I was definitely not the first patient they saw that day but they was they acted was as if I was the most important one they were going to be helping.

Release nurse, especially rude. She made me feel unsafe in her care . I was very drowsy and couldnt get it together quickly. I pray that she dies not make others feel as I. I am a Doctor myself. I did not feel the need to tell anyone for it was not important. I was there for a service. I am not happy and will take this as far as needed. You never know who you are taking care of. Treat others with high dignity and respect.

As always, the care was exceptional! Everyone is so kind, caring and professional. Ive been to TOPS many times and NEVER had a negative experience. Keep up the great work!The nurses and doctors are always the best. Yall are the best!!

Tops Specialty Hospital is a great 16 bed surgery recovery beds so you get plenty of attention. The staff, Mel, Val, Simone and on and on, they were all attentive and helpful.

My name is Barbara Brown. I had a recent outpatient procedure done at the facility. Everyone was nice and welcoming! They met all of the expectations that they’d set for me. I did notice the nurses were so attentive! I must’ve had 4 of them total 😊. They were all so nice. My anesthesiologists made me feel trusting!! I loved my experience!!

My overall experience was lovely honestly. The only person I wasn’t too pleased with is whoever the lady is that pushed the anesthesia through my iv. She also rolled me down to where I was gonna have surgery. I didn’t like her spirit or her energy it was very short. Everything else was perfectly fine. The other nurses were super nice to me. Especially the lady who told me about the mouth guard.

Second time at Tops Surgical; first we went in for my husband umbilical Hernia and then this last time it was for my gallbladder removal and on these both visits we just loved how attentive, fast and caring the nurses, doctors and anesthesiologists are. From the moment we enter the ladies at front are very nice and welcoming. We have already recommended several friend and family due to our best experience there.

Everyone was very nice. It was easy, not stressful. My procedure went well. The recovery was well. I like going to Tops Hospital for my procedures.

Overall positive experience. Initial call back time was right on however once in pre-op long wait before I was take back for my procedure. Discharge was efficient.

My recent surgery at TOPS went very well. The pre-admission/lab work was quick and easy. Leslie gave me full information about what to expect. When I got to TOPS for my surgery everyone was courteous and professional. All of the nurses, Mary, Amanda, and Jason, and the anesthesiologist, Donovan, explained everything they were doing and made sure that I was comfortable at all times.Everyone made me feel that I was their main concern. Then, they called the next day to see how I was doing and if I had any follow-up questions. I would highly recommend this hospital for surgical needs and care.

Every body was very attentive. My Nurse very suit she make me feel very comfortable and less nervous and after my Procedure it was another Male nurse incredibly helpful and nice, thank you for your help and support

I am so glad I am not returning to TOPS for services! 1st of all, my entire deductible was collected, in error, for ultrasound and biopsy in Spring 2023. Then, when I had to have surgery, they started pestering me to pay the deductible, which as far as I was concerned, they had collected. They seem to have a philosophy at TOPS to worry the patient who is newly diagnosed with breast cancer to death about money, so we dont really consider having cancer so much.Since my surgery and claims have been finalized with my insurance, I have received no fewer than 3 bills that were charged in error!Run fast, run far! The medical side is fantastic, but the billing will worry you to death! Do not use TOPS services, unless you want to be badgered about erroneous billing from now until judgment day!

I’m pretty young to have to have the surgery I did. Every single person there was so welcoming and so nice. They made sure I knew what was going on every step. Not one person was condescending or disrespectful in any way. ALL staff was nice and easy to talk to. I may have annoyed them with my questions and my general conversations, but they never acted like I was putting them out. I had to stay over night be night, but I totally would have stayed longer just because the staff was so nice and helpful. Also, having the facilities and the help would have been nicer than over going home. I think they would have let me stay, but probably not the insurance company. The PT was so happy and very bubbly (very genuine and seemed to love his job). Everyone was very professional and respectful. If you act one way towards someone, they usually return the favor.

The experience was smooth and easy as soon you walk through the doors. The front desk lady was so nice. ALL the nurses and doctors were caring and wonderful. I loved my experience there.

As a nurse I have been disappointed lately with the medical field UNTIL I went to TOPS. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am scheduled for Surgery and attended a session where we were educated on dos and donts, meet the anesthesiologist and physical therapist. I highly recommend TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital

I’m rating the staff 10/10. My entire experience with the staff has been amazing! The pre op staff 10/10 as well as my 2 night nurses that went above and beyond to help me and to tend to me! I absolutely love them! Thank you ladies! It’s very rare that you find a good team and this one was it!

Starting with pre op testing, every staff member looks you in the eye and greets you while asking if they can help. Day of surgery, again every staff member looks you in the eye and takes an interest. They are there for YOU. After surgery care was amazing, unlike larger hospitals, one of the many nurses answered the call bell within minutes and with a smile. At other hospitals, I have waited up to 45 mins for a nurse to answer the call. And most times have had to go to the nurse’s desk for help. The food was delicious. After returning home, I needed help during the night and again in the early morning. Phones were answered and help was given.TOPS is the medical care that you want when having surgery!

Tops Surgical is by far the best hospital I’ve ever visited. After two knee replacements it’s now time for my shoulder at non other than Tops.

I was very disappointed in the fact I was not contacted beforehand concerning information about current medications and questions requiring phone numbers. I did not bring my phone with me or my purse containing my medication list. I had been to Tops surgical approximately 2 years before and that was the information they tried to confirm when I was taken back in the preoperative area. Most of that information was not accurate concerning meds which had drastically changed and phone numbers were in my phone. I did not bring my purse or phone so as not to have to keep up with them. Could have saved alot of time and energy had it been done beforehand. Also my procedure was scheduled for 2:00. Unfortunately my doctor was running WAY BEHIND. I had none of my pain meds all day and by 1:30 or so I was very uncomfortable. I spoke to one of the doctors and he ordered a pain pill for me. My nurse had already left for the day so I no longer had an assigned care taker. It took over 40 minutes AFTER and 3 different nurses to FINALLY get the medicine. The last of the 3 nurses tried to blame the delay on the doctor by saying he was just then putting it in the computer. I knew this was in fact NOT true because the doctor had stopped by to see if they had in fact given me the pill. If I ever have to have something requiring day surgery I would try very hard NOT to do it at Tops. I also would never recommend them to anyone. Also during the delay to receive the meds I could hear the nurses gathered talking and laughing together as it was late in the day and also the day before a holiday. When you are already stressed and in pain listening to that while I was waiting to get the medicine does not make a good impression. Also I had to ring the nurse bell 3 times to find out why I not received the ordered med and the last one of the 3 showed very much how irritated they were that I was bothering them. Hospital staff does a Great job, I had a previous surgery at Tops 2 years ago.However, Tops Leadership team is poor at best. They have NO communication contingency planning in place!I understand weather delays and/or disruptions.But by Sunday 07-07-24 everyone knew Houstion was going to be effected by Hurricane Beryl.I called Sunday and was told surgery on schedule. I called again Monday, ONE HOUR prior to my surgery time and was told my surgery was still on schedule.Driving to the hospital 27 mins before my check in time, I received a call that all surgical procedures are postponed.Leadership team this is the best you can do?You might try putting together a communication contingency plan in place. Just a suggestion.

Had a surgery at Tops and have to say for the most part the experience was great.The nurses were awesome, with Mel being my absolute favorite.She was so so sympathetic and caring and was always available for whatever I neededFor the most part the food was very good aside from some misunderstandings

My husband had knee replacement surgery at TOPS with Dr. Winkler which was a very successful surgery. He was so well taken care of by Dr. Roo and the staff of nurses who were so sweet and competent. Then there was a fabulous caring group of therapists. All in all, it was an A+ experience.

My experience at TOPS was great! Everyone on staff was very nice and friendly. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease for the procedure. From the front desk, to the prep and the finish! They are great! If I do another procedure I will be very comfortable with them!

Surgery went well..been here 5 days now because of post op issues. staff is very attentive, professional & helpful. Cant say enough good things about them. Be careful for the fees they try to charge you up front and call your insurance company before you pay them.. also the food is not the best. Was excited to try some of the soup that sounded good since I could not eat much. But when i got it tastes like someone poured a can of salt in it. Couldnt even eat it. You would think a hospital would not have so much salt in their food. But again entire staff was awesome.

Topps has a great program to prepare you for upcoming knee surgery. You get great explanations as to why and how procedures will be done. Definitely reduced the stress factor of surgery.

I recently had an epidural steroid injection in my back with Dr. Kanjia. All I can say is I was very impressed with the facility, the front desk check in and especially the nurses. They made me feel very comfortable and that I am in great hands. The nurses are super funny and caring. I am very terrified of needles and they made me laugh so hard that I wouldnt think about it. The procedure was very short and fast. Props to Dr. Kanjia, he is very knowledgeable and easy to approach with the questions i had. He is doing his best to help me recover from an injury I have incurred for a long while for many years.. I received a follow-up call from the hospital a day after and that made me feel very happy that they are concerned with my procedure. Thank you Tops Surgical Specialty House.

This place has wonderful people working. First, I was greeted warmly and I felt like a person not like a number $$$ . I was given lots of information and prepared by whomI had a pleasure of meeting Dalila Rn . She made me comfortable, ready and helped me forget my nervousness. After that, Natalie took care of me , she wheeled me into surgery and proceeded to help me unto the next bed. All the time talking to me so not to get me worried about what was next. Then there was Stephanie, she was my recovery nurse. What a beautiful personality, she was by my side when I woke up and made sure I had something to eat and drink, made sure I was ready and able to go home . I had a very warm and wonderful experience not only with the nurses but My Doctor , Dr. Kanjia and also The anesthesia Dr.

Tops exceeded my expectations in preparing me for surgery to come. I am confident that when the time comes, I will be well taken care of. Additionally, I will know how to take care of myself as I recover at home!

My son had surgery on 10/9/2023. I was full of nerves. However everyone i talked to leading up to the surgery was so great. They were kind and caring. Which put this mommas heart at ease. Everyone at the facility the day of the surgery was just as caring and kind and so attentive. I genuinely felt like everyone cared about my son just as much as i do. I recently had surgery at Tops. Very professional, capable and caring staff. I checked-in, and had only a short wait before being prepped for for my procedure. All went well and ended leaving earlier than expected. Staff took very good care of me at every of the way. Recommend this facility.

Nice staff! very helpful and competent staff.Dr. Turnquist was awesome 🤩 he answered all of my questions he has great bedside manners.Only thing that bothered me is that they called for money prior to surgery which is fine but no one ever called me to let me know what time to get there.I had to called the day prior and the lady said they will call you but if they don’t for me to call back. I called late afternoon and I spoke to another lady at told me on their end it shows @ 11am. Then they called me the day of my surgery about 7:45am and ask me if I could come in sooner than the time they originally told me. That was irritating. But overall service was great.

The best !! I had 2 procedures done there. They treat me with so much care and Comfort from the front desk to the nurses n doctors and ppl that dose anesthesia. Thay made me feel comfortable and at ease. The hospital was clean so was the bathroom. Clean waiting room .they have a snack area free coffee..

Friendly professional top notch treatment. Been here before and the staff is great. Only problem I had was a miscommunication between the staff and my doctor. I was told nothing was listed for pain meds. I spent the first night in agony. I happened to check with my pharmacy the next day and found the doctor had called in two Rx, pain meds and antibiotics. Also my doctor never stopped in to see me before or after surgery.

All of the workers are fabulous here. You will not encounter one person that gives you an attitude or that doesnt want to help you. Top is the perfect name for your hospital. The people tended to me get top billing. From the receptionist to the people in the prep room. Ms. Donna who has the mothering care to Ms. Kristina & Ms. Monica who were very concerned with my comfort. The surgery team: Dr. Shar has the best bedside manner and explained everything very clearly. The anesthesiologist was wonderful as well. Even the gentlemen that wheeled me to the car.
