I went to this location to get a IUD inserted. All the staff were very kind and patient with me. The nurse made sure that I knew all the side effects and what to expect from the procedure before getting it done. The doctor was wonderful and made sure to walk me through every step of the insertion. She reassured me that if I needed a break or wanted to stop the procedure at anytime that I could. Although it wasn’t the most pleasant experience the doctors made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend this location to others!
First time here I was kind of mad because they kept saying I didn’t have insurance when I know I have insurance and pay for it. So she said the system says you don’t. They need someone in the back to work insurance there and call because why should we call when we know we have insurance. I had to reschedule my appointment after I drove all the way there. I got HOME had to call my insurance just to call PPH just to get the call center to verify my insurance. So now my second visit there was great fast and great customer service. Make sure to set your MyChart up to PPH to get results FAST. Doctor was great front desk was great and also the pct. Will be back if I ever need to
NP Ingram called me a little less than a month and a half after my ultrasound results came in. I had already had a virtual appointment then an in house appointment for the issue that was found by the time she called me.Im not sure what exactly is going on with her, but I see a lot of people have had the same issue with her punctuality/time management. I even had to wait almost an hour naked from the waist down and cold to even see her and get an order for said ultrasound
Was told over the phone that my copay would be $10. It also showed a $10 copay on mychart. When I got there they told me it was a $50 copay. They blame it on the system but thats not an excuse. You should be reaching out to let patients know if the copay they are agreeing to is not accurate instead of surprising them with a larger amount when they get there. If you choose to go here make sure you call the clinic and ask them what the real copay is since they like to throw out different numbers.
Has an appt at 115 pm to see A. Ingram, FNP-C, no patients scheduled before me from my understanding first appt after lunch was mine. I had asked abt how long should I expect to be in the office from the moment I scheduled the appointment, I was told up to about an hour usually. Got there at 1 pm, front desk lady was very nice as were medical assistants but once in room at about 1:30 waited until 2:10 for Nurse practitioner to walk in laughing with medical assistant. Here I am naked in the room for a good 40 minutes all cold while the staff just takes their sweet time to come to the room. When I was called in for my vitals there was only two people after me left in the waiting area not sure what could possibly take so long to come into the room and see me. I would expect this from a doctor as this is what they are known to do but to schedule with a nurse practitioner and still to wait an extensive amount of time is very inconsiderate of peoples time. Aside from that it has been two weeks since my appointment and I have not received my test results nor have they been uploaded onto MyChart. I have tried calling with long hold times and no assistance within the 24 hour call back time frame. Very unprofessional in my opinion and definitely not going back.
Super super nice and helpful. And extremely informative I knew everything that was going on and they explained everything to me in a way I understand. 10/10 best plan parenthood location I have been to in houston. You don’t find too many compassionate folks like these anymore if I could give them more then 5 stars I would!!
I love this location. The office is very clean and comfortable. I went in to get a different type of birth control than I usually get, and the friendly staff answered all of my questions thoroughly and made certain I had all of the information I would need. I was given helpful information about all of my long-term birth control options, and shown models of each one to touch and examine. The procedure I selected was performed very quickly, and without any discomfort. I was in and out of my visit quickly, but it was not rushed. They are just very professional and efficient. Highly recommended!
Scheduled for a pregnancy test even though I already know I’m pregnant. I really just need a prescription for nausea medication. Since my insurance is still pending, I called PP to see what the out of pocket cost would be, and if they’re able to prescribe something for nausea. The nice lady on the phone told me that the test could cost up to $80 & they dont prescribe anything for nausea, and that I’d have to see an obgyn. I’m glad I called before going up there and wasting my time/money.
Pretty inconsiderate wait times. Don’t accept patients if you can’t accommodate them in a timely manner. Everyone was kind especially Sonni & the patient care assistant, however, I should not have to wait an hour to be seen, and then another hour in a room undressed from the bottom down just to see the practitioner. I won’t be back. It’s honestly ridiculous. Never in my life have I had to sit this long in any doctor, OBGYN, clinic, or ER. Simple testing should be done and out the way. I made a mistake coming here. The practitioner clearly has poor time management skills. Get it together.
Can I just say N.P. Ingram was the most pleasant nurse I’ve ever experienced. She made me feel comfortable and didn’t make me feel like I was being judge, I feel like I already knew her. I truly appreciate her and her superb services today 💛
I had my IUD inserted back in January 2017. The nurse or doctor who did it told me she cut the string short after she had inserted the IUD at the time. Now that my obgyn tried to remove the IUD she said who ever inserted the IUD cut the string too short that she could not locate the IUD. Now I have to do a procedure that will cost me a thousands of dollars just because planned parenthood cut the string short. I DO NOT recommend getting your IUD here.
Front desk staff is pretty rude. I was also under the impression that they accepted medicaid. I checked the website several times and didnt find anything that suggested otherwise. I understand its abotts fault not theirs that they cant accept medicaid but they should be clear about that. Also I had to spend 59 dollars paying out of pocket for a pregnancy test. And all they did the appointment was have me take the test and then ask if I knew my options. There was no other care.i feel like I wasted my time. Walmart 88 cent test told me as much as they did
Ive been here 3 times, and 3 times was good. Today though.... Appointment was at 9:30 and at 11 I just left. Dont leave! Youre next! Yeah, Ive been next for the past hour and a half. I took time off work, Im getting emails on things that need to be fixed, this was really disrespectful of my time. Im normally a pretty calm guy but this just really made me angry.I understand things happen, things run behind. But dont tell me to show up at 9:30 am and have me sit there for several hours. Youre not doing anyone a favor.I just wish I could buy the medicine directly and not have to worry about this.
I been going here since 2008 and I wouldnt go anywhere else for my gynecology needs. They have a wonderful staff whose very polite and compassionate. The wait times are speedy and the clinic is very clean. Dont sleep on planned parenthood frfr yall theyre really awesome.
I honestly dont know what anyone is talking about my experience was great. Fast and they understood and explained alot of things too me (I went in for a long term Birth control) . The Nurse did everything very smoothly and explained step by step told me to breathe and I was in and out with in less the 2 hours. With a scheduled appointment. Ive also been there a few years for the Depo shot. This time I went with an IUD . I thibk its the way you treat people . Thats how they will treat you back personal opinion.
The nurse was incredibly condescending and rude. I had high blood pressure after a stressful week - and also the stress of getting together the money for the appointment and getting myself there. Despite my explanation, the nurse threatened me with denying me birth control. She prescribed progesterone. I asked if it was a years prescription, and she indicated that it was. IT WASNT! I went to pick up my refill, and it was denied. This location has sent me a threatening letter about my blood pressure (which is FINE - it was only high on that visit) and refuse to provide me with birth control unless I take off work, which I cannot do, come to another appointment, and pay them another $80, which I do not have. It was hard enough to get to that one appointment. I lost my insurance and havent been able to afford any. They dont care. They do not care about people who are poor or who dont have access to transportation. They send harassing letters. I grew up believing planned parenthood was there to help women, but in my experience, this is not the case. I have gotten no help and am now without birth control. All because my blood pressure was high - it is fine now, and anyway my prescription was for a birth control that does not affect blood pressure, which is why she prescribed it in the first place. It is unreasonable to require me to come in and prove my blood pressure is normal when the medication doesnt even affect it. They just want to squeeze money out of patients who are stupid enough to believe they are there to help.
Took time off work to be there are 2pm just to find out they have new nurse practitioner was taking longer with each patient. They told me the wait time was about 2 hrs or so ! There were 4 patients before me . After an hr one of the checks told that they have to reschedule me because the nurse was behind!! So waste of my time they could of at least call to let patients know before they drive all the way for nothing. Dont go there!
Very disrespectful. I got an IUD inserted (never had children before) which i know is not a requirement anymore but i understand why it used to be.. anyways i was in the most unbearable pain ever for 20 hours straight sitting in a warm bathtub at home crying from the constant pain. When i went in To get My iud removed because of the pain the ladies at the front desk were rolling their eyes at the fact i was getting it removed . They said i should put up with the pain longer and even laughed in my face with more eye rolling when i said i didnt think i could take it .. i was 19 at the time (i guess they thought i was being a little b- about the pain) my pain tolerance is high by the way- im 21now and i did just have a baby naturally- the pain of my childs birth did not compare to the pain of that IUD!!! I rather have another baby then go through that again.
I recently went for my well woman exam, I am glad I chose to go to planned parenthood. I felt completely comfortable during the entire visit. I asked about long term birth control options and was given information in a non-judgemental way!!!!
Deceitful. I’ve been going to Planned Parenthood for years but in NYC and never had an issue. Now I’ve moved to Houston and visited this location for removal of an IUD, they charged me $80 before the services and when the nurse practitioner got to me she could not get it out. She probed around and made me bleed, then told me that she can’t get it out but still found something to charge me for. I had to pay an additional $30 when I checked out although I had asked her how much more the other procedure would be and I was told she would only charge me for the “dish”. If you don’t have insurance stay away from this place!!
I went in for an IUD. An LPN in training performed the procedure. I have had two IUDs previously and never more than spotted afterwards. I was also mid cycle and not on my period when i went in. The inexperienced LPN who was being shadowed during the procedure incorrectly clamped my cervix. The result was a river of blood from the top of the table down the drawers and all over the floor including the idiots shoes. It looked like a crime scene there was so much blood. I argued with the manager afterwards who claimed it was normal and later finally admitted the employee was in training. I was light headed and dizzy the remainder pf the day and bled heavily. By morning it had finally slowed. Had the bleeding of continued i would have gone to the ER. There is a reason planned parenthood has such a horrible reputation. They should stick to std testing and regular birth control. NEVER AGAIN!
The staff is very attentive and polite! Visits are expensive but always have been without insurance. Nice new location that’s kept clean and safe with a nice Lock up on entrance being in Gunspoint I mean Greenspoint.
I had a great experience here. They are very precautious with their COVID-19 measures. The inside is clean and really nice. The front office, medical staff and nurse were all very nice and answered any questions I had thoroughly. Thank you ladies!
Called to ask a question and was completely delighted with how nice professional and informative the person on the line was. One of the nicest customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
Very helpful staff. Having my IUD inserted was a breeze thanks to them. Had been going there for a while and although I dont have to go back anytime soon, I wouldnt mind doing so if I did.
Was kept waiting over an hour past my appointment time. Apparently they couldnt fit my 10 minute test in inbetween when I arrived and when the person who had an appointment 5 minutes before me arrived 40 minutes late. Didnt even say sorry for the wait. I went into work 30 minutes early and sacrificed my entire lunch to make time for it, and with their lack of professionalism then I got to work an hour late too.
Please don’t go here. First the address it’s wrong on their website and on MyChart..you will have to drive DOUBLE the time originally it would to get there. Second when I came in the staff was nothing but rude and made me feel like they didn’t want to take care of me. Worst one I’ve even been too. Please go to another one! Save yourself the time and stress!
Very good customer service . Service was quick and fast. Workers were real friendly and polite and answered any question i had. They made me feel comfortable in the environment. Very good job ladys 🫶🏽
I had my women’s wellness today the team was amazing and very professional. The nurse was so informative and very sweet. Definitely recommend this office. Thank you!
Place is no bueno, appointment was at 12:40 and when i got there the ladies were walking out and told me “were closing for lunch, come back at 1:00” i thought nothing of this I understood so i went back home and returned at 1:00, now me not wanting to be that guy that comes in right when they open i waited five minutes and made my way to the door and they were still closed, ok, 20 minutes later im still sitting in my car waiting for them to open.
Love The NP that took care of me she talked to me during the whole procedure and made me forget about the pain, she was kind, nice and has a 5 star bedside manner i will forever be grateful for such a excellent over the top experience!
The doctors are professional and great bed side manners. Birth control at a discount.
All of the nurses here were extremely nice & understanding! They are true professionals :)
Great service! Everyone was polite and professional. I will definitely return to this location when needed.
If being seen by appointment the clinic is very punctual. Without an appointment it could take hours.
I recommend this place, the staff was very attentive, nice, explain and answered all my questions and concerns very friendly.
Front desk lady is so rude! I got there and she didnt greet me nicely, she said give me your id. And then threw the sign in sheet at me and said sign in. Very rude tone! I normally come here every month to get my bc and the front desk lady are so nice. But today this new lady named T THAI is very rude! I feel like she treated me like that because of my race. If you work at the front desk you should greet your client nicely if you want them back. Change your attitude or work somewhere else girl.
Very helpful and great customer service.Love the new location
