I transferred to Fields Center of Women’s Health after leaving a different hospital system where I felt like a number instead of a patient. I instantly felt right at home with everyone in the office. I had the pleasure of seeing Rachel Fields NP and she is fantastic. Not only did she treat me well, but I also took my teenaged daughter for an appointment with Rachel, and my daughter felt very comfortable there. My daughter was very apprehensive about her first appointment, but as soon as she met with Rachel she was fine. I asked my daughter how she felt about the experience and she said “It was good. I really trust her”. This means the world to me as a mom. Thank you so much Rachel and the Fields Center for Women staff for making our experience great!
I was looking forward to my appointment here after months of waiting to get in. As a first time patient and an hour spent in the waiting room, I finally get brought back to see Rachel Fields. I was prepared with a list of dates, symptoms, concerns, and questions. Rachel met me, left the room so I could change, did the exam and walked out of the room all within TEN minutes. She even said “I have to get to my next patient” while running out of the room.I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time to be treated like this?? Yet another gynecologist appointment where you’re pushed out the door and the doctor doesn’t give a care about you or your symptoms. Fabulous…. now I need to find a new place.(Shout out to Rachel’s fabulous nurse - don’t know her name. Also unsure if treatment would be better with someone else, but do not recommend Rachel!)
I have lived in Knoxville for over 10 years and have been searching several doctors for the right place. I finally found it! I see Rachel Fields and she is absolutely phenomenal. I feel so comfortable talking to her about any and all of my needs. Highly recommend!
I’ve been a patient of Anya Zerilla since 2021 or 2022. I have been treated with such respect and consideration over the years, that I have recommended her to others over and over.Recently I had a positive pregnancy test for the first time and wasn’t sure what my next steps were. I reached out to the office and was scheduled for lab work. In the course of a week I had a positive test, lab work, miscarried, and came back for more lab work. During that process I was seen by or talked to staff members that I don’t typically see/work with and overall I had a very negative experience.During lab work, as a nervous first time mother, there was minimal conversation or explanation to help me understand what we were doing/next steps. I was supposed to receive lab results the next day and didn’t receive a call back either time I went for labs. The first time, I called the office 2 days later (and was told that my numbers were low, I need to take progesterone, was told 2x that I was “barely” pregnant in a condescending/inferior way, and that we would re-test to see if it was a viable…healthy pregnancy). Over the weekend I began to miscarry and when I returned for bloodwork, I told them. The nurse did tell us she was sorry and cautioned us against hurrying to get pregnant again (which we weren’t) and when I asked about my period (for information) was again told to not rush to getting pregnant (which we weren’t!). We got our second lab work and no one called. I called the next afternoon and the nurse was out. I got a call the next day and was told my hcg was 11 and no need to retest. We knew we didn’t need to retest! We were waiting for the final confirmation of a miscarriage and that wasn’t communicated. This whole situation was emotional, felt uncaring, and frustrating. It makes me a lot less likely to recommend this office and will be part of what I share as my experience here.In a tough spot of life, needed a little more explaining, care, and empathy.
I never made reviews, but this was the first time I was treated so terribly by a doctor’s office. I tried to make a follow up appointment for ruptured cyst after a visit to the ER. The receptionist was extremely rude and demeaning. I was told by the ER doctor to follow up with my GP and their OBGYN, Dr. Fields, within 1 week. So I called. Without even knowing my medical history or knowing any if my symptoms got worse, she went on to say how it wasn’t a big deal and they just heal. I asked an appointment with their doctor like I was told but was told he was out for a week and half. After I declined an appointment with their NP bc I already had an appointment my NP at my GP clinic, she was extremely rude and suddenly couldn’t fit me into the schedule until next year. Why even mention his vacation schedule if I couldn’t be seen for almost 3 months? I truly believe she was being malicious.
I’ve had a truly exceptional experience here. I had triple pelvic organ prolapse and severe menorrhagia due to my prolapses and PCOS. I had a sub-par experience with another surgeon 2 years ago & switched over to Dr Fields as a recommendation from my primary care physician.I just got surgery today as an outpatient with Dr. Fields and Dr. Shrewsbury (from Urology) attending. The staff and doctors were excellent! I forgot the one lovely nurse’s name but there were also Katie and Twajuana who are literal angels in nurse form. 😭 They made my entire experience as good as possible. I can’t recommend them highly enough! These are medical professionals who do their job and also truly care. Thanking God for all of them today!
My daughter had an appointment this morning at 11am. We sat for three hours of our day before my daughter was seen. We asked several times the status trying to figure out what is taking so long. We were told the nurse practitioner and doctor both need to be in the room. My question to the practice, why not block their schedule to do whats needed and not have the patient wait? We have seen people come in after we have signed in (new patients) and get seen before my child. (UNBELIEVABLE) My thought process, this office lied about the appointment time (clearly) and have us waiting like we are a walk-in and not someone that has an appointment. How hard is it to block the doctor for an hour and block the nurse practitioner for and hour if they both are needed? Please make it make sense. When I say, this experience has taught me our customer service has gone to pot. It has truly gone to pot. Im very angry and annoyed.
Kathleen is always very nice and personable ,Spends time explaining things. Willing to try alternatives
I have been a Patient at Fields Center for the last 36 weeks of my pregnancy. I had a wonderful experience with Anya Zerilla, WHNP, Dr. Fields, and their entire staff. As a first-time expecting mother, they were comforting and willing to slow down and answer my many questions at every appointment. At no point did my experience at Fields Center feel rushed or impersonal like many other doctor visits I have had in the past. This is a small detail, but I also loved that the woman working the front desk somehow always remembered my name. Top tier care and kindness from everyone I interacted with. I genuinely look forward to transferring back to Field Center after I give birth for my postpartum care.
I recently decided to switch OBGYNs just because I didnt feel heard at my last one. I read so many reviews about Field Center so I decided to give them a try. I absolutely recommend. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped in. Everyone that spoke to me was super nice & inviting. Catherine was amazing & also very informative. Definitely sticking with this office from now on. :)
I am the Clinical Manager at a large specialist office here in Knoxville and I can say without a doubt that this is the best medical office that I have ever been to. My entire experience from my first visit through having surgery with Dr. Fields has been superior. The staff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, callbacks are prompt. I saw Anya Zerilla, NP initially and she was very patient and took time to answer all of my questions. She also shared her own experiences which really put me at ease. Dr. Fields has a wonderful bedside manner and has an incredible amount of experience and knowledge. I feel better than ever after having surgery. If you are looking for a top-notch medical establishment, look no further.
I have been dealing with PMDD for YEARS, I’ve seen so many doctors, psychiatrists, therapists…been on numerous medications that have left me feeling defeated and ultimately looking for a hysterectomy. Catherine took time to listen to me, my concerns and she offered me a solution so simple and is actually working. I don’t know why she was able to pinpoint the solution in a matter of 30 minutes where other doctors tried for years and couldn’t but I am THANKFUL to her. I haven’t felt this normal since I was a child. I honestly can’t express on this review how much I appreciate this practice. They are kind, organized, stellar communication skills, and they know what they’re doing. I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you!!!
I have been in pain for almost 15 years. I felt like I had endometriosis and poly cystic ovarian syndrome. I had visited countless doctors one the years and it had gotten to where I could barely walk. When I met Dr Fields, he and his nurse Dawn were absolutely amazing. They listened, planned, and found evidence of everything I thought was there. I had a full hysterectomy with endometrial clean up and adhesion removal and ovarian wedge resection yesterday. Even the day after surgery I have some pain from surgery but my normal pain is almost completely gone already. The surgery was quick and flawless. The hospital staff working with him at Blount memorial were flawless. I was treated with respect for my ptsd. I was not gaslight. Was never left in pain. I am absolutely astonished at this team and my treatment. My incisions are small and painless. They will leave little to no scars as stitches are internal would tell the world about him if I could. ThankGod for DaVinci surgery and Fields center.
Dr Fields and his entire team are amazing. 10/10 highly recommend. 1 week post op and all I can say is he is a phenomenal surgeon with an incredible bed side manner. I was so scared but his confidence and caring put me at ease. He and his entire staff have been wonderful throughout my journey.
I’m so happy with my decision to switch providers and come to this office. My experience with Catherine was completely positive and helpful. She spent so much time with me and discussed every concern and issue thoroughly. She was also very gentle, quick, and professional during the physical exam portion. The wait time was short and all of the office staff were super nice. 10/10
Dr Fields and his entire staff are the absolute best. I have never felt more cared for from a dr and his team. The wait time is minimal, surgery care is amazing, hormone therapy, they are for you. They offer so many services to help woman have the best quality of life.
I have been seeing Anya for about two years and have had great experiences compared to other gynecologist offices Ive used in the past. She does not push medications or surgery, even if you repeatedly come in for pain and then refuse the care options (heh, am I the only one?)Two weeks ago I had surgery for endometriosis with Dr. Fields. He is such a caring man with a very calm demeanor. My surgery went flawlessly (as far as I know haha) and I felt great, almost normal within a few days. Time will tell if the endometriosis that was removed helps my pain but he is clearly a skilled surgeon. I didnt see many reviews mentioning endometriosis surgery so I wanted to be sure to leave a review about my experience.
This OBGYN stinks. My wife constantly has to wait weeks to MONTHS for lab results and other things that should only take a week or two tops. They hardly ever answer the phone, when you do have an appointment they take hours to get you seen, also not to mention they aren’t informative at all (had a surgery, doctor said to google some stuff no handouts no notes no nothing, google what doctor tells his patients to google??)they are just ridiculous if you are looking for a good OBGYN I wouldn’t recommend this one !
Had my first appointment after not having been to a GYN in years. I was amazed how pleasant all the staff was and how I felt like I was family right from the start. Anya listened and never made me feel rushed even though I knew she surely had other patients to care for and I had surpassed my limit. My treatment plan was discussed and my opinions were valued. I am very excited to return here for my care and will recommend them to all my women friends!
Thank God for Anya. I have been seeing her for a few years and I only wish she could be my PCP. For years I could not convince a doctor to treat my low thyroid, Anya did it, no problem. She is very kind and professional. I feel comfortable and cared for by her and her staff. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns. I never feel judged by her. I do not feel shamed or talked down to because of my body size, which is rare in the medical field. She actually treats her patients equally, no matter body size. I can not sing her praises enough.
I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Fields and his staff. This was the first time I had ever had surgery, and it was quite a big deal to me. Dr. Fields and his staff really took good care of me and answered all my many detailed questions. Very very caring doctor.
Cathrine kingrey is the best! Sweetest person I’ve ever met. She never fails to sooth my concerns as well and provide me with as much information as possible! And the office staff! Wow. I feel so at home every time I come in! They make good conversation, help me with anything I man need. Just an amazing staff!
Catherine and her nurse Beth are the absolute best. They are so sweet and both answer any questions that you may have. They take every concern so serious and truly listen to everything I have to say or ask. I have never had an office I adored this much.
I cannot say enough about the doctors and staff here! Everyone is so friendly. Being a first time mom, I have so many questions and they never sound aggravated when I call and they are always so happy to help and are very informative. Ive seriously never felt more welcome at a doctors office!
I can only say wonderful things about this office. Dr. Fields, Anya, Catherine, nurses, and all the staff are the nicest people and they always make you feel like you matter. They always spend quality time with their patients and treat them like family.
Dr Micheal Feilds is the absolute best OBGYN and surgeon. I have had nothing but the best with him and his staff, his nurse Whitney is the kindest sweetest most attentive person! I have had 2 children and surgery with him, the robotic surgery was the best! For over 20 yrs he has been my OBGYN and is very aware of his patients, now my daughter that he delivered is pregnant and she sees him also! I would recommend him ten times over!
Hands down the best, most professional, kind, caring and warm group of medical staff that I have EVER seen! Dr. Field and Anya have walked me through some incredibly difficult times and now through expecting my first baby!! I will never go anywhere else. Compassion is important to me and they have more than enough! Praise God for this team!
I picked Dr Fields out of many suggested from a list on a Facebook group. Drove 3.5 hours one way. He and his team were great! Very knowledgeable, professional and it is a great experience to be heard. My concerns and fears were addressed and taken seriously. I have much respect when they respect your choice despite given recommendations.
Since the first day I walked Into the doors everyone has made me feel so welcomed. Katherine, her nurse Beth and the staff go above and beyond for your every need. 5 out of 5 recommend. What a great group of people!
Absolutely loved my experience here! I had my first appointment today & they got me in so quickly, everyone was so friendly and wonderful! I normally have a lot of anxiety around Dr’s appts, but not here!
Would not let me make an appointment due to not having my insurance card available. Staff was rude!!
I cannot say enough good words about Dr. Fields and his staff. He did my surgery with the utmost care, and his nurse was super helpful with all of my after surgery concerns and cares.
Ive known Dr. Fields for years and adore him but since I warmed up to Anya, shes the only one I see now. I cant imagine going anywhere else!
Wonderful office, doctors and staff.
Hands down the absolute best staff there is! Everyone is super friendly and caring. I couldnt ask for a better doctor.
Anya and Fields are great, waited over half an hour past my appointment for Kingsley.
Dr. Fields and Anya are the reasons why I came coming back in this office I dont mind the distance for the great service I get..love them
Dr. Fields and his staff are absolutely amazing! Knowledgeable, caring, compassionate...just amazing.
Been sitting for over 45 minutes still waiting. Just called the person that was scheduled 15 minutes after me. Its frustrating when medical personnel do not respect peoples time.
Love all of the people here! Worth the hour and a half drive.
Dr feilds is amazing
Dr. Fields is amazing! When I seen him for a pre-op appointment, he didnt make it seemed rushed. He listened to what I had been dealing with for the past 22 years! He performed my hysterectomy shortly after, and I am finally diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis, and endometriomas on both ovaries, which he took care of while he was doing my surgery! I finally have answers and that its not just in my head! Dr. Fields is a gift for womens health! He actually listened when no one else did! Thank you so much, Dr. Fields!
