I made a same day appointment and was seen right on time. The office was very clean. The staff was warm and welcoming. The nurse was incredibly gentle with my young child. The doctor listened to all of my concerns and gave great feedback. I would highly recommend. This is the Urgent Care I plan on using for now on.
Amazing experience. Front desk Josh was extremely helpful even though he was goggling many tasks. Sothary In was friendly, helpful and patient. She helped me with my insurance issue. The provider was friendly efficient and quickly figured out my issue and her prescription was very helpful. Strongly recommend this urgent care center.
My dad was the Patient, from the minute we arrived the front desk to the exam room staffvery caring and kind. The nurse took all vitalsthen Monique came in to examine him. She was wonderful very caring. I would recommend my family and friends to Urgent care Danbury west100 mill plain road ❤️
The experience was excellent. Specific thanks to Gabriela, the receptionist. She was so nice and helpful. Her warm and welcoming attitude was exceptional. Upon leaving my appointment I stopped to thank her. She is an amazing young woman taking her responsibilities with a smile and kind words. I am happy your follow up gave me the chance to praise her again.
The office staff was great. I made an appointment for 1030, the place was mobbed, but we were brought to a room at 1031. I was very happy with that. I wasnt super happy with the provider that saw my daughter (30 minutes later). After a laundry list of symptoms, the PA said it was a cold and sent us on our way. No medications... Just drink fluids with the caveat, If she doesnt feel better, bring her back Sunday. So, the office staff was a home run, they kept everything going despite a computer problem. The PA wasnt great, I felt like I had more medical knowledge than she did.
Jason Fedak is a phenomenal provider, at an interpersonal caliber I frankly did not know still existed. He takes the time to explain everything and collaborates with the patient instead of dominating the interaction. He should absolutely be teaching the next generation in the field.
Everyone was friendly, nice, efficient and on time.Dr listened to my symptoms and I was given 2 prescriptions which I was thankful for!Normally at urgent care you get told drink tea take Tylenol and rest! Highly recommend AFC
STAY AWAY! Nothing urgent about this place, intake process is absolutely terrible. Subpar service and quality. Not to mention the check in lap top is used by everyone and is grimy and disgusting.
Office very clean. Staff pleasant and friendly. Seen within a reasonable amount of time Doctor was knowledgeable, explained the condition in understandable terms and ordered medication which was fully discussed. She listened to my concerns I highly commend and recommend this doctor.
No vaccines even though the website will let you book reservations for vaccines, and the automated system even confirmed our visit. We were made aware of this fact an hour before our reservation after having moved our schedules around, then they rebooked us at the 76 newtown rd location. While on our way to the Newton Rd location, that location called us to let us know they also did not have vaccines, albeit travel vaccines. Wasted our time and gas and got us caught in a traffic jam on 84.The CS reps were nice and friendly though, so an additional star for that I guess.
Very happy with my second experience with AFC Danbury West. My first visit was for a physical. This was for a more unexpected, fractured toes, matter. I was able to schedule an appt. online last night and be seen relatively close to my time. Friendly staff. Was told however that I was lucky to have x-ray available on the w/e as sometimes it is not. So, perhaps check ahead if you might need that service. Shown my x-rays and given digital copy of the images. If I had gone to ER (Ive had experiences with family members) the wait could have been hours. Similarly a long wait in the past with another place Ive used.
Very short wait time, Courteous staff. Comprehensive health care. Would definitely recommend
I’ve had both good and bad experiences at this location but Yaz G. is always so nice and personable when she is on shift. She makes the experience as good as it can get when you arent feeling well. Thank you Yaz!!
I truly appreciate the wonderful teamwork and support from the staff. The manager has been particularly remarkable in making the experience smooth and positive. Thank you for making this process so efficient and welcoming.
I just went in for a regular physical for my job. All the staff were very friendly, caring and professional, they really made me feel comfortable. After my experience at this Urgent care location, in the future, I’d never visit another location other than this one. 10/10.
I’m so glad this urgent care center is 4 miles from my house. I’ve gone there for emergencies or Covid tests and other things more serious. I’ve never been disappointed in any of the professionals who work there. They gave me accurate advice they sent me to my PCP when it was necessary, the only comment I would make is that the company needs to hire more x-ray technicians.
Went here for a preoperative physical examination. The woman that took my blood Missed veins and caused bad hematoma and pain. Had to prick me 3 times. Ive never had anyone have to do this more than once ever to take blood. She was unsanitary when dropping rubber band on ground than picking it up & using it on me to take my blood, then putting it into a clean medical kit that she uses to take blood from others... neither time sterilizing it. Next time when it comes to my health Ill wait and see a professional rather than rushing.
Told to come in at 11 wasnt seen until 12. Still wondering why the person that came after me for the same time appointment was taken before me and the other two people that were scheduled for 10:30?? Got checked, tested for COVID and strep which both came out negative but I never got an answer as to why my throat was so red, swollen glands, hurting and hard to swallow and breathe 😞 I had to self medicate to get over whatever that was. Disappointed!! at least the staff was kind and the facility was clean.
I brought my child into this location for upper respiratory symptoms. The PA suspected that my child had Diabetes since she complained of a headache and dizziness. Despite her non -fasting glucose level being in normal range, she still suspected that my child might be pre-diabetic and ordered an A1C blood test. While drawing my daughters blood, she was unable to find a vein. My daughter was stuck 3 times in each arm and absolutely no blood was drawn. My child felt excruciating pain in her right arm during the last stick. By the following day, she was complaining of horrible shooting pain radiating down her arm. Unable to use her arm to write, and so far, she has missed an entire week of her mandatory volleyball participation at school. A 14 year old taking steroids to calm the nerve irritation from this traumatic experience. Not only did my child endure physical harm but she experienced emotional harm as well. The Physician Assistant insisted that my child was diabetic and suggested that the radiating nerve pain was possibly a sign of diabetic neuropathy. Can you imagine the fear a teenager experiences when being told that she is showing signs of diabetes but actually has strep throat? All off this could have been avoided if the provider just sent us to Quest for blood work.
Told the doctor I was allergic to amoxicillins. Picked up my prescription- it was straight amoxicillin. Went to get it fixed and they tell me I was supposed to get augmentin. The main ingredient in augmentin is AMOXICILLIN. Took me another 4 HOURS to get it all fixed.
My appointment was at 1030 and I was seeing within 10 minutes of my appointment. The staff was so friendly. The doctor was professional and nice and I was in and out within less than 35 minutes. I definitely recommend this place.
AFC, I hope you take notice of an exceptional employee named Gabby at AFC Mill Plain Rd. office. She greeted me and everyone else with professionalism and respect. Her knowledge of every issue that arose was quickly resolved wether it was registration, insurance, language issues. Her efficiency was only outshined by her caring and sincere demeanor.Bravo Gabby! Great Job!
The staff were incredible as I was dealing with a very difficult injury. They were incredibly kind, personable, and made sure to explain every step of their care to me to make sure I felt comfortable and safe. Thank you to my stitches team from 6/29! I appreciate you!!!!!
I visited AFC because I bruised my right ribs while enjoying the 4th of July weekend at home. I did not want to go to a hospital so I went to the urgent care near me. I found that the Doctor and the staff were attentive and got me in and out quickly. The waiting area was clean and not crowded. The woman at the front desk was also attentive and helpful checking me in. In all I highly recommend AFC.
Amazing and speedy service with great staff who provide holistic and kind care! I’ve been a patient of them multiple times and I give them a 5/5 star rating every single time; love this place and the care they provide! :)
This was the absolute worst experience here to date, I have been multiple times and never again. Doctor Do...do absolutely nothing. What a waste of a medical degree. I am pregnant, and fully realize I can not take certain/most medications, but this woman stood at the opposite side of the room like she was afraid to touch me. Did not check my lungs, did not test for anything other than covid- which I already knew I didnt have. And proceeded to tell me useless and irrelevant opinions about midwives. If you are pregnant and need any type of medical care stay away from this place- and I mean even the check with a stethoscope- they dont know how to use those. I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received. Kept me waiting for 35 minutes in a room, weazing and cougning, barely able to sit for results for a covid test I did not ask for. I have a cold and just wanted to make sure my lungs were okay since I am so highly short of breath. Never again. Doc, I hope you get the same treatment next time you are in need of care.
The staff at Mill Plain was amazing and took very good care of me! Emily was the greatest medical assistant and Monique was the best! Everyone was very professional and took care of my needs.
Excellent experience-In and out quickly/ clean.. friendly and dr listened to me and treated me.Glad to have them so nearby.
The nurse was great. The PA was antisocial and not helpful or sympathetic at all. She added to the patient’s anxiety.
Excellent experience! It was easy to make an appointment online. We were lucky enough to get in within an hour which is unheard of. The staff was friendly and checked us in quickly. The medical staff was great. They asked many questions and offered more than one treatment for my son and got our prescription over to a pharmacy that had the medication in stock. As a mom of 3, getting treatment quickly and relief to my son is so important. Great experience!
I was welcomed and I didn’t wait long. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. I was seen and treated by a cool doctor. Thank you AFC for taking good care of me. 🌻
Very helpful when.it comes to the tablets. I wasnt sure of i could see the application on my phone to fill the rest of information out. The lady at the front desk walked me through the steps I got stuck on. Also I did not have to wait that long to be seen. And my back was spasms. They prescribed something for the pain right away. And I was able to get some rest as soon as possible 😌
The care, concern and time spent with Kelly, PA and Shannon, MA was above and beyond the experience I receive at my regular doctors!!!Highly recommend!!!A++++++!Thank you so much!!!!
Never got my prescription. So this was my fault not the fault of front desk team. Services were wonderful. Sorry for the confusion. I directed the script to be sent to wrong CVS pharmacy.
Excellent medical care. Waiting to over 90 minutes? Maybe not so much. Once I got called, though, it all went quickly and smoothly. No complaints.
Always friendly, efficient and doctors spend time answering questions. This Facility is by far the BEST in Danbury!!
The staff was so friendly, the lady at the front desk with dark hair was easy to talk too, she even asked how my move from Los Angeles has been so far. Thee lady that took me back was very conversational, and the Dr. gave me great advise. Took his time even tho there wasnt much to do at that point. Appreciate service like this!
The Staff at AFCucw were great. So friendly and patient each and every member from the Front Desk staff, to the nurses and Provider. They were extremely busy and the ladies were all kind and patient. No stress in their voices. My husband came here twice and raved about the care and attention he got.Bravos to all especially the front desk staff.Beverly Wolf
Very pleasant assistant and doctor. We’re both very helpful in determining my condition. Very happy with service.
From the paperwork, to check in, to the nurses vitals and screening, to the doctor--everyone was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful.
I went to Urgent Care with a thumb injury. The doctor that assisted was friendly and helpful. I had to have 5 stitches done.
Very friendly staff very attentive to my needs.Although I wasnt sick I dont look forward to getting sick but if I do get sick I look forward to going to them again for help!!!
Dr Duke and nurse Zaz were so nice! It made a bad experience feel better.I thank the front desk staff, too.
I really enjoy everyone who works there. Always friendly and ready to help. Keep up a good job! Many thanks 😊 🙏
Great place. The receptionist was helpful and attentive. The doctor that saw me is extremely well qualified and knew exactly how to help me. Highly recommend!
AFC Urgent Care couldnt have been better from the help from the Intake member to the nurse who set me up for the Dr who explain my problem in detail and put me on the right persciption. My Neighborhood and the west side of Danbury is so Lucky to have them and especially in there convient location.Again Thank You
Make sure you get here with lots of time to spare because they lock their doors 30 minutes before they close and don’t let people know ahead of time when they call. Left work early for no reason because I was refused Service.
Staff was excellent! Hardly any wait time for a Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm. NP was terrific! She was caring, and took her time with me in diagnosing my condition! Ultimately prescribing the correct medication and sending the prescription to my pharmacy ASAP so that I was able to pick it up within the hour. Nurse was caring and very pleasant as well. Definitely go back to this facility, if needed!
Please be aware before you go to this AFC Urgent Care on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. Before I went, I inquired if they accepted my insurance. I was told yes. I take responsibility in that I should have checked with my insurance myself, but I was feeling very ill and did not. I paid my $25 copay. I was later billed $319 for a mediocre, 5 minute visit. There was no blood labs or tests. If they were not out-of-network, chances are my insurance would have paid them about $50 (in addition to my copay). When I requested to pay a reduced negotiated rate, I was told they never do it. I reluctantly paid the bill as I did not want it to affect my credit score. An expensive lesson I learned is to always check myself for in-network doctors/facilities and to never go to AFC Urgent Care again.
I was attended to with care and competence. It was easy to get an appointment, and my instructions for care of my sutured wound were clear and easy to follow. Very happy that they are there, and only 7 minutes from my house!
Everyone is very nice there! I was seen quickly, and the doctor was great.I will definitely continue to use this urgent care.
Everyone was very attentive. The doctor who treated me was very careful and attentive. The girl who attended to me, I think her name is Gabriela, Im not sure, she was extremely friendly, careful, kind , even the person who was accompanying me was impressed by her care for me. It was the first time I went and I recommend it 100%
Very well oriented and organized. Employees have amazing customer service skills and handled tasks with care and consideration.
Very good experience - quick to get you in, and the Drs background in orthopedics was especially helpful!
My experience was great. Got in and out and the doctors were very helpful and nice, i will continue going here for checkups and anything else i need health related.
Made a same day appointment, got a text they had an opening and I could come earlier. I was in and out in 10 minutes. The nicest kindest provider eased my nerves and made the procedure quick and easy.
The wait time was long, even with an appointment, but it was a Saturday so I’m sure there was a lot of foot traffic. Despite the wait, the staff were SO friendly. The person at the front desk offered us waters and the doctor and medical staff were caring and helpful. Worth the wait, I would chose here over an Urgent Care closer to me.
Once I walked into the Urgent Care in Danbury on Mill Plain Rd the receptionist gave me extraordinary customer service she greeted me kindly and was very helpful, attentive and assisted me without an appointment. The nurse was very attentive, caring and understanding to my concerns regarding my health. The Urgent care office is always clean and neat. The doctor was knowledgeable and helpful in regards to my concerns and he address them on how is the best way to restoring my health back in order. I appreciate the service at Danbury.AFC they are very professional proactive and proficient.Lilia Valentine 💝
The wait was a little long as a walk in but with a child struggling to breathe EVERYTHING is long. The Dr Here was amazing and totally took gentle care and helped my son. We returned for a second time with an appt and it was fast , great care, and excellent service!Thank you!!!
Thank you thank you thank you. Dr Haig was so kind and I feel so much better this evening. Urgent care is so important now that getting to see a doctor much less your own doctor is almost impossible if you become ill. Thank you all again.
Excellent care and attention given to me when I had to go there unexpectedly due to a dog bite. Very sensitive to my anxiety over my situation.
Very kind staff. I was a walk-in, and I barely had to wait to be seen by one of the doctors. Gave me very useful information and advice during my visit
I was seen quickly. Staff was very professional and caring. Facility was welcoming.
The Doctor was so sweet and attentive to my granddaughter. We were in and out quickly.
Everyone was really helpful and friendly. I was welcomed at reception, quickly registered and wait time was short. The nurse placed me in a clean room and within 5 minutes the doctor entered. She listened to my symptoms, checked me over and confirmed my pharmacy info and I was done. My first time here but would highly recommend.
Very clean, very efficient. Jake, PA who helped me, was knowledgeable and informative -not a trait you find often in the medical community these days. It was a tick bite, and my primary care practice was unable to help me, though it was a matter of a few minutes (Nuvance Health-ugh- DONT get me started). Also, there was very little waiting until I saw someone. In fact, the entire visit, from the time I walked in until I left, was only slightly over a half hour.
I have visited this Urgent Care on several occasions and have always been pleased with the service and care provided. My most recent visit was no different. The receptionist at the front desk was pleasant. Stephanie, who took my initial info/vitals and tested me for COVIDand the flu in the exam room, was efficient, helpful and attentive. Dr. Sykes was professional, caring and thorough with my exam. She listened to my concerns and communicated well with a very approachable demeanor. All staff that I encountered during my visit made it a positive experience. I would recommend this Urgent Care to others without hesitation.
The whole team at this location are super friendly and informative. I had reserved my spot over the phone and was able to log my information through a link that was sent via text. Which made checking in easy, quick, and convenient. From the minute you walk in the door, you’re being greeted with a warm and friendly hello. That’s why I chose to come to this location ALWAYS! I’ve been going to this location for a few years now and most of the people are still there, that says a lot! The staff makes it a great experience even though you’re not going there for funsies. With that being said, the team makes each visit worth it! Thank you for helping me out today and doing your best to expedite my visit!
First time visit was great ! Went in and was seen quickly and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful .
The office staff was extremely caring to my concerns from the start toFinish. The wait was very minimal
If there is 10 starts I would give it.Super friendly,professional AFC.Thank you so much,will definitely recommend 💫
In the room with me for under three minutes, never took my temperature. Told me my problem were allergies. Five hours later and 103 fever. $45 co-pay and who knows what they get paid by the insurance company. Waste of time And money. Go elsewhere.
I went for a sore in my tongue . I made a 5:30 appointment . I was the only on there , thought it was going to be nice and fast. Medical assistant was very nice, took vitals. Finally at 6:30 a women walked in , didn’t introduce herself , sat down on a chair and leaned back against the wall an asked “so what are you here for” I told her she finally stood up to look as I pulled my cheek open and showed her ….. no tongue depressor no looking in my ear that I said was killing me NOTHING!!!!! I have been a RN since 1986 an to first not even have the dr or what ever come in an not introduce herself was rude , not looking at the issue herself was so unprofessional and to offer nothing , not even a mouth wash to help it heal faster …. I am going to make sure my ins. Doesnt pay this place.Needless to say I will definitely travel out of the area for a more professional Dr. or what ever she is . Now that I think about it she must have been the PA because they all called her by her first name when I was leaving.
Office staff was welcoming. Space was clean and they were able to see me in advance of the scheduled time. Doc/PA was thorough and quick and I was out of there in no time. One day later and I feel a hundred times better!
The care is good, but the website encourages you to get an appointment, however, that means nothing really. You just go on the list when you finally get there anyway. The website gives you your place in line, and while mine said 1 for 45 min, I waited in the waiting room while 3 others went before me. I don’t mind waiting for others, but it’s just deceitful to say you’re next in line and getting an appt reserves a spot when it does not.
Awesome staff. The receptionist was very comforting and made me feel that Im in safe hands now. Then the PA/ doctor Ms Asanate was very nice in explaining as to what may have happened with me.Prescribed me medication and I was done in less than 30 mins. Thanks AFC
So much for a Hippocratic oath I was turned away to drive my car with a possible concussion because I could not pay the self pay and they chose not to take my perfectly good and up to date husky insurance I know the world we live in ain’t always fair but a little bit unselfishness would make all the difference the staff was degrading and outright rude and generally lacked empathy it was disgusting shame on you all
Amazing staff! Professional and kind. No wait time
From the moment I walked in to urgent care, I knew I would be taken care of. The receptionist was great! The nurse was very good with my vitals. The doctor was also very good, she called in my meds to CVS. The next day started to feel a lot better!
I went to AFC for the second time on August 28, having had a very good experience the first time a year ago. This time was quite different. I arrived at 12:41pm and was told I would be seen at1:39 and could come back rather than wait. I decided to stay and my name was finally called at 2:25. I have to say that the two people at the front desk were very kind and asked if we wanted water and apologized for the delay. The tech who took me in, Gabriella, was also very nice and helpful and concerned. The PA finally came in after another wait. Looked at my issue and walked out and asked the tech to take care of my bandage. I waited from 12:41 to 2:25 to have the PA stop for a minute to look at my infected ankle so he could order an antibiotic! I am sorry but I don’t understand why an Urgent Care place has only one person to look at many patients. I thought they were there to alleviate this problem.Very clean by the way! Better than a lot of other Urgent Cares and terrific staff!
The staff was very kind and helpful but I felt like a ping pong ball crossing town twice to get what I needed. Evidently it was my responsibility to call and verify an X-ray was available in the location before making the appointment.
AFC is most efficient and professionalThe front office staff, support staff, Drs., etcAre all knowledgeable, experienced and competent. I highly recommend the Danbury West Location.
When in for a flu shot and had a great experience. This office has really changed from about 1.5 years ago for the best. Thank you for all your hard work. Will definitely use them again if needed.
It was a very effective and efficient visit. Wait time was faster than going to any other clinic. I received all of my proper documents and was on my way. Staff was extremely patient and helpful as well. Will be going back for my future clinical needs
Great visit ♥️ both nurse and doctor were very nice and extremely helpful. Heard all my concerns and gave great advice. Thank you for an excellent visit!
The beautiful blonde angel that came to our rescue in the waiting room I cannot thank enough. My son (2yr) had his elbow pulled out of his socket (wasn’t sure what exactly it was at the time). As a first time mom I was in a panic, I had no shoes, my shirt wrapped around his arm to keep still and showed up frantic. The lady at the desk said they can’t to X-rays right now so I was about to be sent to the ER. Then this godsend came from the back room and said, I heard a crying baby, what happened? She felt his arm and immediately knew exactly what it was. She popped his elbow back into place right there in the waiting room. This women deserves Dr of the year. She stayed with us and brought out lollipops to see if he would use his arm to grab one. He did. And he unwrapped it. Overall about 20 mins after showing up my son was 100% better. The whole drive home he kept saying, arm all better, thank you doctor. We got home and he was playing with his toys climbing up the stairs as if nothing happened. It’s been a little over a month and he is just fine thanks to her. Thank you thank you thank you. I am so grateful you were there.
The medical staff is excellent @AFC as well as the Receptionist who assisted me in filling out medical forms.. I highly recommend them thank you
Amazing Staff and Dr. 2nd Time there! Always a Pleasure. Highly recommend. Nurses very welcoming and understanding.
All medical staff members were professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable. It is a comfort feeling knowing that our lives are in good hands. Thank you AFC.
The attending physician was wonderful: besides being very gentle and professional with the wound my husband had from an electric trimmer, he was friendly and put him at ease.
I made the appointment online at 10am. The earliest appointment available was 12:45 and they said arrive 10 minutes early and fill out paperwork and submit ids online to have less wait time. I was waiting for over an hour. The whole reason I made the appointment online was to bypass any extra wait time that I would have experienced as a walk in because of my pain level. Apparently, they treat you like a walk in no matter what. Front desk couldn’t care less and was busy talking about other annoying patients. When I was finally called, I explained that I knew what was wrong and would like the Rx submitted asap as I had been waiting all morning in pain. No one cared about my being in pain nor that I had to wait over an hour and told me after my visit the Rx would be submitted and would be another 30min to an hour. The dr wasn’t very thorough either. I’ve been there before and was seen by another dr that had much better bedside manner and seemed much more professional. No one was outwardly mean but you could definitely tell that they didn’t want to be bothered on any level from the wait to the visit. This is supposed to be urgent care and they are dealing with peoples health concerns. Unbelievable.
Staff is very nice and professional. Long wait though.
Had a 12pm appointment for my sons flu shot. Waited for an hour and left as could not wait any longer. Staff at front desk were telling people 15 minute wait. I was not told I would have to wait. Drove an hour round trip and waited for an hour without my son receiving a flu shot. We should have been notified when we arrived that the wait was over an hour and I would have left sooner. When we were leaving front desk receptionist said we could come back another time - absolutely not!
Long wait times, unhelpful medical staff. Would never go here again.
I’ve used this urgent care site before. Everyone is always pleasant and helpful. I did wait about 45 minutes before being seen but as they tell you when registering, its a reservation, not an appointment.
Easy breezy. In and out under 20min. Excellent PA to assist. Thank you!
We were seen on time and the providers were patient, kind and knowledgeable
Waited more than an hour post visit and doctor never sent my script to pharmacy. Now pharmacy is closed. Thanks a lot!
Front desk women is rude I ask a simple question about insurance card and if they accept them she said shes not sure then i ask if she could check so i dont waste my time and said i pretty sure we do and hung up on me not really confirming they do?
Been here twice, excellent experiences both times. Very friendly staff, easy check in, bright and clean waiting area. Never a madhouse like a lot of urgent care facilities can be.
Friendly staff and fast visit got in and out in 15 minutes!
Fast and professional! Brought my son here and he was seen quickly. The staff are very friendly and professional.
I have been using urgent care for many years. Since my children were babies to now that are teenagers… we are happy with their professional and welcoming services. Always with the right diagnosis. I trust their medical staff more than many other doctor offices I have been. We were very happy with Kateland PA care.
Brought my son in to this urgent care and I was so happy I chose this location. Staff was friendly, registration was swift and wait time for seeing the doctor was literally 15 minutes. Doctor was friendly and knowledgeable of my sons medical needs which made me feel so comfortable. I will definitely be returning to this location for any urgent medical needs my family may have.
Urgent care AFC Danbury West …. The waiting room and Drs. Office was clean . The staff at the front desk was friendly and gave clear answers to questions asked . The Doctor was professional and thorough while doing the exam and recommended prompt treatment.
Care was good. Wait was God awful. Even with the “placeholder” at 11:15 my 5 year old still wasn’t seen until 1:00. Anyone with a sick child knows that’s literally an eternity.
In and out in less than an hour! They have the nicest staff and make everything quick and easy.
My experience here (two separate times) has been pretty great overall. The wait was on the long side, even with an appointment, but the staff is professional and efficient, and both doctors I saw were knowledgeable and kind, and I received the care I needed.
Excellent experience very friendly reception staff and knowledgeable professional medical staff. Treated my severe allergic reaction, inclusive of treatment, prescription management and post treatment specialist referral. Also ensured script was called in to ensure I was equipped with prescription emergency epinephrine in case of another incident. Very very competent caring team. Thank you!
Nurse seemed to have little patience and wrote my medications on an envelope and had to ask me what they were for. It was common medications and I thought she should have known. The PA was nice and was on the ball.
I was able to see a nurse within ten minutes of my arrival to discuss my symptoms, have my temperature and blood pressure taken, etc. I saw a doctor about five minutes later to further evaluate my condition. The doctor returned with test results that had been ordered, and appropriate medication was prescribed. I was in and out in about half an hour.Everyone I dealt with was caring and professional. The facility is clean and convenient.
My experience was nothing short of positive at AFC urgent care - Danbury West. I saved my spot online and showed up ahead of time like they requested. I was seen almost immediately by the nurse for vitals and then a Nurse Practitioner came in 2 minutes later to evaluate me. I was listened to, taken seriously, treated for a sinus Infection and my medications were called into my pharmacy immediately. I recommend using this location for any urgent care needs! Thank you so much for your wonderful care for me.
I visited AFC Danbury West on 11/27/23 it was a very disappointing visit. I got to their office about 3:00pm was told that I would probably be seen around 7:30pm. I sat there registered went home and returned to their office that evening around 7:15pm. I was called about 15 minutes later by the nurse which brought me to the exam room. That part was fine. Nurse left for a few minutes came back took my vitals wrote them on a sticky note and did a COVID exam told me I had a fever. She left the exam room, told me the Dr would be in shortly. I waited 55 minutes for the Dr to come see me. The first thing he asked was why I was there. I explained my symptoms he listened to my lungs and the visit was done. The process took 5 minutes. He never brought up the fever which told me he did not know what my vitals were. I asked about the results of Covid exam and he said it was negative and he would call in a prescription for a cough medicine and a steroid. I’m sorry I’m not a Dr but when there is a fever there is some sort of infection brewing. The Dr did not know this because he did not have the full picture. This visit was a total waste of my time. This is someone who was irresponsible and did the bare minimum. I would never recommend this place.
I went to Danbury West yesterday feeling like I had the flu. They did a flu test which was negative. The best part was that I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes and the process went smoothly from beginning to end. My favorite location!
The staff was very kind to me as I strolled in 10 minutes before closing.Mark Taffel, the PA was awesome too! 🙂
Very kind and attentive. I was very pleased with my experience
Dr Jay was very kind and front desk lady as well don’t know her name but thank you.
The staff and all the medical personnel are wonderful, caring people. I’ve always gotten the best care here… much better than my primary physicians office. Highly recommend.
I love this urgent care, and I really love the doctor here on Thursdays/Fridays. I have PTSD and am absolutely terrified of going to any doctor. The doctor here is so nice and understanding of my anxiety and is so helpful. Every time I have come here I have had nothing but a fantastic experience.
Very friendly administration team. We went pretty early before a crowd came in. I didn’t have an appointment but they were very kind to take in my daughter. I liked the doctor who took care of us. I would definitely go here again. Thank you all for your help!
Great service, friendly staff; minus 2 stars because They have one of the worst online payments systems ever
Absolutely the worst dr. Ive ever seen in my entire life. I came in because a few nights ago, I suddenly lost all sense of hearing in my left ear and my right ear is starting to diminish, for Absolutely no apparent reason. She took 2 seconds to look at my ear and told me there was nothing wrong. There is absolutely no reason for my hearing loss, and asked me if I was sure I couldnt hear. Like what???? When she asked me what medication I take, I Informed her of a certain medication I take daily which is extremely well known, and has only 1 reason for use.(Methadone) She had no clue what it was or why I was taking it. Completely incompetent. She even went as far as guessing why I would lose my hearing on one side. How is it that I a regular person with no medical training can tell you whats wrong with me but a Dr. Cant wrap their minds around the idea of an inner ear infection or wax blockage. Its such a simple fix. I walked out and refused service.
Made an appointment earlier in the day for 3:30pm it took almost an hour to be seen (there was a lot going on and it was a little busy) but as soon as I was seen it wasn’t long at all till I was out of there. The physician, Jay, really took care of me and was courteous and helpful.
Today I had to go to urgent care on mill plain road in Danbury. The receptionist at the desk was very helpful. Wendy (the assistant) was also very pleasant. When Kateland, PA-C came in to exam me. She was extremely nice and helpful. She was so nice in explaining the medicine and what everything was for. Thank you for making my visit a pleasant one. Ellen Voelkl.
Kateland Kelly and the rest of the staff were super helpful. I came in there after falling off my mountain bike and needing stitches. They took me in right away, took very good care of me, and I felt very cared for. My only concern is that they don’t take my insurance, which was too bad, but the out-of-pocket wasn’t horrible.
I had all signs of the flu beginning yesterday. Saw Dr. Jay today at the Mill Plain Rd. location. Diagnoses COVID..first experience. He was very attentive, answered all my questions, did not feel rushed. would definitely not hesitate to visit the office again.
All the staff is very nice including the doctor. They were short staffed but super apologetic about it and still got me in fairly quickly.
People with great hospitality, very efficient. Today was my first time and I did not wait too long. I would tell anyone who needs urgent care to go to afc Danbury. Thanks to you afc.
Excellent experience. The staff was friendly, caring and knowledgeable... my only complaint is that they need to hire a better cleaning company to clean the office space - medical facilities need to be spotless and dust-free, and this facility is lacking.
No wait while my daughter and I were there. Staff and physicians were all very friendly, and helpful.
The staff, nurse and doctor, were so professional, kind and really listened to me. I am truly grateful for this Urgent care facility. I would definitely recommend them.
Waited for 3 hours but no med was prescribed although suffering from viral for a week. Seemed like waste of time n money visiting this place when u r sick. Staff was friendly polite n good.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a very good experience.
Absolutely amazing and so quick! With driving there and back was about 30 minutes who can ask for better than that!!! Staff was super friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Even printed coupons for the antibiotics I would need. Sothary was so helpful and absolute pleasure
Very efficient, pleasant, and professional staff. The only urgent care facility I will go to when needed. Cant recommend highly enough!
Very good nurses , and showed concern and the receptionist was very helpful and the dr did a great job explaining everything to me and was very professional and knowledgeable on his work. Very happy with the whole place from front desk to the room I was sent in and very pleasant
Everyone is so friendly and caring. I walked in and was seen within 30 minutes without an appointment. Thank you!
We were happy with the Danbury location & the front desk personnel but the practitioner on Sunday, 11-19-23 was lacking experience & was quick to do absolutely nothing. She prescribed Flonase & some useless pill called Benzonatate which has done absolutely nothing. Coughing has gotten worse. When we finally reached our family practitioner he said he couldn’t believe she didn’t prescribe antibiotic. Our mucus was green, indicative of an upper respiratory infection. 5 minute visit for an hour 1/2 wait & we still had to seek another doctors advice.
Overall happy with the service. Had to wait for about 50min despite having an appointment, however, the diagnosis and treatment were spot on. Great job. Id recommend to management to staff more personal to avoid the wait especially when an appointment is booked. There is enough demand.
Without doubt the most efficient and friendly urgent care service we have used. High quality medical support and a really good administration team.
I have been there twice now. Once in August and again just yesterday. In August in didnt have a clue what was wrong with me. They knew to check for Tick bourne illnesses. With a little blood work, there it was. Went back again yesterday after pulling 3 ticks off of me. Both times they were nice, efficient and helped me deal with the issue.
It doesnt seem to matter that I had an appointment at 6:00 because I was brought into the examination room at 6:30 ans did not see a Doctor until 7:45. I was told that there was a real emergency and thats what took so long. That being said the doctor came in without her stethoscope and it was obvious she hadnt read anything I had told the nurse. I came un because I had upper respiratory issues. She wasnt going to check my chest or my lungs until I said something. She didnt check my ears. Since I had pain in my sinuses she was done. She prescribed z-pak which was fine. So I waited 1hour and 45 minutes for 5-10 minutes of a doctors time.
Had to visit this facility today. Kateland Kelly, PA-C and the staff were beyond efficient. I had scheduled an appointment via phone and was in the exam room five minutes before the actual appointment time. Extremely organized and friendly. Thank you!!!
There was little wait time to see the Doctor. The staff is always nice. In and out in no time. Always good when your not feeling well.
Everyone at this facility is amazing caring and great at their jobs. From the front desk, to the lab tech nursing and the doctors. And always with a smile.
I am so glad the AFC Danbury West is available to help me. They have always greeted me kindly, their paperwork is organized and their facility is clean. I have been seen quickly by competent doctors and PAs who listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. The nursing staff is very attentive, helpful and skilled. This is a small set- up and does not have the resources of a larger medical facility but appears to be able to handle many illnesses and small injuries.
My experience with AFI is consistently excellent. The staff is always professional, attentive, and caring. I highly recommend AFI for anyone in need of prompt medical care.
Great staffGood quality serviceVery good accessibility, gabby was very helpful
After seeing my regular PCP earlier in the week, I was referred to AFC Urgent Care as my doctor was out for the holidays. Basically, I was told to handle my care elsewhere. Okay….. so off I went to AFC. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and professionally, given directions regarding paperwork, and informed that I would have about an hour’s wait. I appreciated being told about the wait and was called in sooner than expected.During the wait, Dr. Loni called me on my cell to ascertain the purpose of my visit and to decide how to help me. She was direct and told me that “they will look after me.” That meant a lot after being basically abandoned by a practice that I’ve been going to for ten years. When I went in, the nurse and x-ray technician were very pleasant and dedicated to my care and comfort. Dr. Loni spent time taking care of me as promised. She was outstanding in both professional capacity and manner. I wish she was my regular PCP!I appreciate being accurately diagnosed and helped.I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care. The care was heartfelt and accurate - that goes a long way when you’re not feeling well. Thank you for caring for me - I appreciate everyone with whom I interacted. Also, had I received this care a week ago, I would have been better already. The AFC staff got it all right - that’s very hard to find these days. Again, thank you so very much for the wonderful and genuine care!
Just left and never coming back. Worst physician that I have ever been to.
Just left afc urgent care on Mill Plain Rd and I can’t say enough to praise and thank the staff!! Especially Toni (x-Ray tech extraordinaire) and Kelly (PA) who took such good care of me and showed kindness and good humor, professionalism and compassion. The facility was clean, everyone was friendly, and I’m feeling very lucky to have gone there, despite leaving with a broken bone!
I had to go to AFC urgent Care for a DOT drug test and they was super efficient and very pleasant. The secretary and especially the nurse was extremely professional. AFC ran the most professional set up I ever seen. Thank you and I look forward to hopefully working with yinz again.
We met with Kateland (PAC) at American Family Care on Mill Plain Road in Danbury, CT this morning. Not only was the facility clean, but the staff was friendly, the the Physicians Assistant was incredibly kind with my son. When we left, my son literally said this is the best day ever, pretty high praise.
I stopped into urgent care because my primary doctor was booked solid. It was a bit of a wait, however I was so impressed by the doctor who saw me. Arrived with multiple serious conditions and Lillian took great care in listening and asking pertinent questions. She thoroughly understood symptoms, conditions and treatment courses. She took great care and a lot of time and attention to me as a person. I felt well taken care of by her. A true professional
Got there at 9:15 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. they told me to come back at 12:30 p.m. I saw the PA 1:00 p.m. after arguing with the desk person because she told me I would have to wait again. I was prescribed medication that was not kidney disease friendly. Never was asked my medical history. Its run like a factory doing commercial business.
Nurses and PA were incredibly friendly and efficient. Was an enjoyable experience.Update: Dropping a star because I was dissatisfied with the PA that I dealt with on my most recent visit. He was not listening to my questions/concerns.If you keep the visit simple, they can handle it better.
I must say that the staff is very supportive, compassionate and helpful. Even when the office was overflowing with back to back appointments, more people who needed care walked in as they had been sent from other facilities who would not take any more patients…they even locked their doors. I sat in the waiting area at 7:00pm watching more people stream in and knowing how swamped this clinic already was at capacity. The kindness of the staff was apparent as they hustled together and made the decision to take upon more people and stay even later and work even harder for the sake of public health.I also highly recommend seeing Katelynd Kelly PA-C when you need care. She is very down to earth and attentive to the needs of her patients which is a true gift to receive these days.Thank you!
My pediatrician didnt have appointments so I brought my son to this AFC as I have before. The nurse and secretary were very nice. The physician demeanor was as if I was wasting their time. My son is a toddler and not feeling well. He was fidgety and didnt want to open his mouth. Both make physicians kept telling me to restrain my son like he was a wild animal. I was very uncomfortable. I will not bring my son there ever again.
Anytime I’ve came here I’ve had a great experience my last visit I came in for eye infection on 12/24 it was busy and they did not have their original provider working but the MA did not not sanitize the room & now I am extremely sick. I would avoid this location due to their negligence.
Very good care! The staff was pleasant & professional. One of the better Urgent Care experiences that Ive had.
Made an appointment this morning, arrived 10 mins before appointment time, waited for a little and once called was seen quickly. Overall, great experience!
All the staff were extremely friendly and have consideration of your time. The only major hiccup was sending the rx to my pharmacy. After calling afc and my pharmacy each x2, third time was the charm and afc said they sent rx to another another pharmacy. Point of the story is advocate for yourself, dont assume things run smoothly. I would still be waiting for my pharmacy to call me. The patient has to be informed of any modifications in picking up medication
The staff is so amazing!!! Went there and was seen right away. Clean, friendly and great service thank you!!
Great staff. I was in and out fast.
Wonderful staff, distressing interface, nowhere to speak to anyone about it.Got what I needed quickly, but there are some serious issues in the AFC check-in process, and I can’t find anywhere to get in contact with the parent company to address the significant issues I faced. The staff is 10/10. Very friendly and efficient, watched them kindly help some older patients with simple technology issues during check-in.The three stars is solely because of technological check-in issues that are NOT the employees’ fault and nothing they can fix, and the fact that there’s nowhere that I can find in fifteen minutes of google searching to politely contact someone about my issues.
Great friendly staff and very comfortable quiet atmosphere. I was seen really fast and out at a decent time. They really put the URGENT in Urgent Care!! Def Recommend
Monique and her assistant Gabrielle were excellent this morning. They were very professional, very confident and they worked briskly until their work was done. Friendly, too! Keep up the great work!
Very good staff I came in they helped me and was out the door in no time
Highly recommended, everyone is very friendly and professional
Very nice staff. Facility was clean. Wait time was reasonable
Excellent service but employees should wear I.D. tags
Lucy answered the phone when I called and she was wonderful, kind and very helpful. She put me at ease immediately. There was a long wait when I arrived but when the gentleman called for me to come in, he was very polite and apologetic for the wait time (which was so nice to do).Once inside the care was great from beginning to end. This is an office full of kind and patient people. They certainly deserve 5 stars.
Where do I even begin? This was the worst experience of my entire life—no exaggeration. I arrived around 7pm to get my child evaluated for fever, headache and a sore throat. I also attempted to register for myself to get a bug bite checked out to rule out cellulitis. I was told by the front desk girl, “oh, our provider is going to be leaving soon and won’t have time to look at your arm.” This facility closes at 8pm, how much of your time was I really going to take up for something that required pure observation? Moving on…the MA checks my daughter’s temperature and asked me if I gave her anything for the fever prior to coming in. I said she had both, Tylenol and Motrin, with the Motrin last being administered before I brought her in (approximately 1.5 hours prior to arrival). She looks at me rather snobbish and says, “it’s 104 now.” She proceeds to question how much Motrin I administered and I tell her the amount. She then asked “did you check her temp before giving it?” I said yes, it was 101, that’s WHY I gave it. I don’t know what she was trying to imply here, but I had been chasing this fever all day and that’s why I brought her in for an evaluation. Secondly, the MA swabs her for covid and strep. I’m under the impression that they were doing the complete respiratory panel given her symptoms (Flu/covid) and I also thought they obtained a throat culture as well. No. They swabbed my little girl 4 separate times, minutes apart. How is it acceptable to do this to a pediatric patient? Clustered care is so important in this population, but these people are so incompetent. After they tell me her covid and rapid strep results are negative, they come back in to do a flu swab, and another MA comes in for a throat culture. When I asked why this wasn’t done at the same time as the rapid, LIKE IT SHOULD’VE BEEN, I was told “yea well, we’re gonna do it now.” Thirdly, they tell me the “doctor” is coming in. When Bryan Fix comes in, he immediately says, “she has a fever, I don’t like it. 104 is very high, she can have a seizure. She has to go to the hospital.” This is such misinformation and this did not sit well with me. A febrile seizure occurs when the temperature rises too quickly, not because of “how high” the temperature actually is. This quack then tells me that “a poorly controlled fever is anything over 99F.” SINCE WHEN are we sending kids out to an emergency room for fevers over 99? My child was not in distress nor toxic appearing. I was merely there to rule out flu and strep, as I had already swabbed her for covid myself prior to going in. Referring me to an ER is a complete waste of emergency resources. Bryan Fix also said, “her heart rate is high, I don’t like it.” I again had to reiterate that she has a high fever which would cause an elevated heart rate. At this point it was almost like I was schooling him which as a parent is not comforting at all. I had to ask Bryan Fix to look in my child’s ears, a routine and warranted part of a physical assessment on a child with these symptoms! Moreover, my daughter’s flu, covid, and strep results came back negative, but Bryan Fix decided to prescribe antibiotics for her. For something that is most likely viral in nature, he knows damn well antibiotics won’t be effective, but hell, let’s just throw antibiotics at her for fun! THE LAST STRAW FOR ME— Bryan Fix attempted to administer 1,000 mg of Tylenol (adult oral tablets @ 500 mg each) because he “did not have children’s Tylenol on hand.” My child weighs 96 lbs, requiring a maximum dose of 500 mg. This is incompetence at its finest and this place will do more harm to you than good. I am officially over urgent cares with this provider and his staff members sealing the deal for me. I will take this further because it is dangerous for these people to be in practice. Do yourselves a favor and do not go here! I will gladly take myself and my child to an ER and wait 8-10 hours if I have to to get the PROPER medical screening and exam done THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.
I came in with my two year old son around 9am on a Saturday. By 9:30, we saw the doctor and had a diagnosed ear infection and a script sent to our local pharmacy. Everyone we interacted with, from the front desk to the nurse to the doctor were friendly and professional. I love knowing this urgent care location is around the corner when we need them!
Clean office, friendly staff. I was able to check in and get an estimated appointment team and was seen a few minutes past that time. The doctor was personable and timely and able to treat my ailment.
I was very pleased with all of the staff. The doctor was professional and knowledgeable. She gave me meds and told me my condition was serious and if I did not feel better in a couple of days I should go to hospital. After taking the meds for just 1day I am feeling better.
March 25 arrive at 6:45 to find a sign on the door that they are closed. Would have been nice had they posted on the website so I didn’t have to waste my time driving to the even more pathetic Main Street one.
I was able to make an appointment online and waited only about five minutes when we arrived. We were seen right away by the doctor and he addressed several concerns without hesitation. We got referrals that we needed that would’ve taken much longer waiting for a primary care physician.
I understand why you are not having patients wait in the waiting room. However, having them wait in the car, “out of site out of mind.” I feel like I was possibly forgotten about for an hour or two. The nurse I saw was amazing and extremely knowledgeable and made me forget I waited that long. Having a text update on how long your wait is, maybe every 30 min or so would be advantageous and put waiting patients at their ease.
I went to this location twice over the last 2 months and both Physician Assistants I saw were great and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this urgent care.
The wait was about an hour without appointment. The staff and doctor were very polite and friendly. The doctor didn’t “rush me” in the appointment and listened to what I had to say. Great experience overall.
Had to wait an hour or so even after making an appoint. But all staff were kind and knowledgeable and overall a good experience.
Courteous, friendly staff. Doc was professional and understanding. The wait was a little under an hour to be seen, but that was after all the paperwork was filled out and my insurance card and license copied.Honestly, that was the longest Ive ever waited here. Other times Ive been seen with in the first 15 minutes. But covid has changed all that. It cant be helped. All in all, I think this AFC run Urgent care is awesome and I travel from NY to come here. Its a convenient location with plenty of parking and a CVS and Rite Aid right up the road for fast Rx pickup.
Dr Kelly did a nice job and they were very busy. Took me in 1 hour wait and first time there. Appreciate the help. Thanks Ginny
This urgent care is amazing! From being able to book an appointment online, to the staff. Everyone was very nice and professional. Not being from NY I felt very comfortable. Thank you!
I highly recommend this location! Scheduling an appointment online was very simple. Appointment reminders were also sent out. The staff was very friendly and courteous!
Terrible service, save your breath and go to a different urgent care or an emergency room! The lady with the accent was super rude and was not hospitable at all. The girl at the desk was nice, but her on the other hands made you really question why she was even working there in the first place. I went there to get help for my friend who was in a lot of pain because she broke her knee and they basically told us they didn’t have space for us, and that we’d have to wait for her to have time to tend to her, even after telling her that she was in a great amount of pain. Such an awful experience and I never knew someone could be so quick to deny someone service.
I arrived there earlier in the day. The receptionist was super nice. There were a few people ahead of me. Took as long as expected, honestly. About 2 hours. When I was seen the nurse and dr were both nice. Quick results. Id go again.
Very efficient and gave good quick treatment.
I went to the urgent last night. During the triage I told the nurse I was 9 months pregnant. The doctor did not ask questions related to pregnancy but did prescribe me something for my current cold symptoms. However when I researched the medication it’s actually extremely unsafe for me to consume and would put my baby in danger. Thank goodness I didn’t take it but I’m very concerned a doctor would prescribe this to someone visibly pregnant.
I was in town for work, and became ill on my flight. I went to AFC to be seen and make sure nothing serious going on. I was seen promptly and the PA was very thorough and professional. Thank you for your help.
We went here for a COVID-19 test. They are very caring and professional, and everything was done very professionally by the nurse who came out to our car. The physician’s assistant was very knowledgeable and gave us sound counsel. Overall we felt we were in good, competent hands. I hadn’t been here before, but given this experience will definitely go back again.
Made a visit to Urgent Care. Quick and efficient. Everyone friendly and attentive. Took great care of my mom.
I waited over an hour to be seen & then another hour sitting in the patient room. Apparently I was not in the queue. The doctor was not interested in what I had to say and I felt very rushed. He showed no concern for me. They then sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy and it was a pain to get a hold of anyone to correct the mistake.I have been here before an had pretty good service. This time it was horrible and I will NOT be going back or recommending it to anyone.
So glad I decided to visit yesterday. Was seen fairly promptly (small wait) and the physician was very thoughtful - you could tell she really was trying to figure out the odd combination of symptoms I had going on for the past week and a half. She really took her time with me and was very thorough. Thank you Dr. Asante! Am feeling a bit better the next day and what she prescribed has helped alleviate the worst aches and pains of my adult life. I recommend this urgent care!
Friendly efficient and professional I recommend this office highly
The doctor I had was amazing. He knew what he was talking about and gave me the best experience. He was so sweet and kind. I wish I caught the doctors name.
Best medical experience I have had, and I am extremely afraid of doctors and have severe PTSD. The doctor was amazing and friendly and is exactly the kind of person you want to see if you are afraid of doctors. The wait was short and the front desk staff was also very nice.
Very good. Hope we stop coughing soon
