The personnel my child and I visited today was exceptional. The moment we walked into the clinic, we were greeted with a professional friendly administrator that smiled and shared what the process would be as she pulled up our information. The nurse and Doctor were professional, efficient, kind and empathetic. This is going to be the clinic of choice going forward for me and my children.What a difference between this experience and the more established urgent care associated with the nearby hospital that we visited in the past due to necessity and lack of urgent care choices. We are all aware that AI, artificial intelligence, is becoming more prevalent in our lives but humans should not provide robotic experiences, especially, in the medical field.

So nice and accommodating!! Everyone made sure I was comfortable and they treated me very swiftly. The lady in the front desk helped me set up a my quest account and one of the nurses nicknamed me Ms. Strawberry. The doctor that treated me answered all my questions and explained my next steps thoroughly. Everyone was super kind!

5/5 stars! I came in New Year’s Day and couldn’t walk due to my back being hurt. The front desk was so welcoming and lovely and the nurse was so helpful. A day from hell turned out not so bad due to the staff at MEC.

I truly haven’t felt worse than I have this week. I was hesitant to go to urgent care because of long lines, hidden fees, people pushing to get you out of the appointment. But this was truly the best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. The kind woman working the front desk and the nurses I was interacting with were all so compassionate and really cared about getting me feeling better. I don’t have family in Chicago so medical stuff can be really scary to tackle but having someone like the people at this center looking out for you and having your wellness front of mind was so calming. They were thorough, gave me what I asked for, talked me through everything. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Brought my son into the River North clinic yesterday and I have a 13-year-old born with down syndrome. Everybody was super wonderful with him and his experience was pleasurable and not scary. Everybody there is very professional and knowledgeable and we consider them our go to. Highly recommend.

What wonderful energy to be greeted with. Mel was wonderful, walked me through all the steps of the check up, made me feel welcome and hyped me and my dreams up. Just a wonderful care taker. Smruti was efficient, kind and pragmatic, very easy to feel safe around. Thank you to the clinic for having great employees and people.

Kristiana and the triage staff were exceptional today. They were very communicative and reassuring that the reason I came in for would be resolved. I am new to Chicago, and am happy to have found such a great team for my medical care as needed. I will definitely return and refer friends and family to this location in the future.

Everyone at the clinic was so helpful and friendly. I was in and out of there so fast with a correct diagnosis and solution! The staff was fabulous! I will for sure be back and recommend this clinic to others!

I had terrible food poisoning and was so sick. The two locations I went to before here were so rude and curt with me. I was so sick and almost in tears by the time I made it to this clinic. The person checking me in was so kind to me. The nurse that came and got me was very empathetic. I really appreciated being treated like a person. My PA was really patient and took time to speak with me. I had a nasty bout of food poisoning and they did a great job helping me to find relief. Couldn’t have had a better experience for the situation.

I went in with a bad cough and sneezy cold. The clinic took me in immediately,, tested for flu and covid, listened to my breathing, gave me a chest xray, read the xray and reported that I did not have pneumonia, gave me a subscription for musinex and an inhaler and sent me home, a happy camper. Perfect. It is very satisfying to have clear treatment, no antibiotic when an antibiotic is not called for and rapid care by competent people.

The young lady arriel that was at the front desk was very nice while I was been seen for my daughter Kourtney I had my grandkids with me and she made them feel comfortable while I was in back . Then the medical assistant that took my information was nice as well . Keep up the good work and then they gave all the children goody bags

Lisandra, the nurse at the front desk, has been a real life saver. The fact that she speaks Spanish and how attentive and extremely professional she has been today, has made a huge difference in our visit to the doctors today. I couldnt be more thankful. Professionals like this definitely make the difference!

I had a great experience this past month at Midwest Express Clinic. My provider was Smruti. She has such a pleasant bedside manner and was very knowledgeable in all of her answers in my diagnosis. She had my medications filled right away. I’ll definitely return to this clinic because of her.

This is the best urgent care I’ve been to; highly recommend! My nurse practitioner, Christine, was fantastic. Professional, kind, and quick. Melanie and Lisandra helped to complete my general wellness check. Zero wait times; I will definitely be back!

My doctor was one of the kindest and most gentle people to ever sew my finger’s mouth shut! She was very patient with me and did a wonderful job.

I was traveling in the area for work and had a need to be seen by the Dr. …From check-in with the receptionist, to my intake with the Dr’s triage assistant, and my visit with the Dr, the clinic’s team was effective and efficient, ensuring that my care and comfort were top of mind. I went to Midwest Express Clinic Urgent Care after experiencing stiffness and pain in my neck, chest and arm. I was pleased with the level of warmth and experience I was shown. I would refer my family and friends to experience the same if ever in need of quick diagnosis.

After unsuccessfully visiting 2 other clinics I came to Midwest express clinic and was blown away by how nice and accommodating the staff was. Mel at the front desk was polite and extremely helpful. Thank you all for making my visit seamless.

Cut my finger with some sharp scissors and went there on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone working there was friendly, efficient, caring and professional. I certainly wasn’t happy to have to go there, but I could not have had a better experience than the one I had. I can’t imagine ever having to go to an ER.

I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr Smruti. She was attentive, informed me of what was wrong, encouraged me to visit my pulmonary specialist and let me know what I needed to do in order to heal.The office staff is polite and professional as well as helpful.

Extremely rude customer service. Melanie on 11/14 repeatedly talked over me while I had questions. Cut me off and answered incorrectly. Just trying to understand what services were offered kept say x ray closed and thats fine to any questions I asked. I will not be seeking services here ever again. I asked her why she was being so rude stated because she had 5 patients. And then proceeded to place the call on MUTE until I hung up. I attempted to call back to speak with a manager was place immeditately on hold. Filed a report on her on their website. It was that terrible for no reason whatsoever.

I absolutely love Midwest. Ive visited the Chicago ave location and blue island and staff are always friendly, fast, and efficient. This is absolutely my go to whenever I have a quick medical issue and I am treated well and correctly every time. Im grateful for this clinic and would 10 star them if I could.

Since the second I stepped foot in the clinic the staff was amazing! Mel was so sweet and kind! Thank goodness for her! The doctor as well!!! 100% recommend this facility!! Thank you for helping me when I needed!!

I booked an appointment a day in advance knowing I may have to wait, to my surprise when I walked in I was immediately greeted asked my name and was asked to have a sit and that I was all set. I was called up in under a minute and was treated with such compassion, understanding, and professionalism. At one point I unfortunately had to take a call however when I stepped out of my room I was immediately assisted by another incredible professional. While I assume every employee here goes above and beyond I would like to recognize Kristana, Mel, Adaliz, Smurti, Inari, and Feride for their absolute professionalism and kindness. All my questions were answered (of which I had many) and I left feeling confident with the care I was provided. What a wonderful business to have in our community!

I was in Chicago from out of town and had a large painful cyst. I walked into this clinic and was so well cared for. The doctor was extremely patient and kind and helped me through the procedure I needed. I couldn’t be more thankful for finding this location and getting the care I needed. I never write reviews but had to for this clinic. Thank you Midwest Express Clinic!!!!

If I could give this zero stars I absolutely would. I started by making an online placeholder for the morning. I got there only about three people in there besides me, and were told they were running behind. Ended up being seen an hour later was taken to a room and given a Covid, flu and strep test. I was then told a doctor would be in shortly. I proceeded to be left alone in the room for over an hour with no one stopping by. As my boyfriend in the lobby informed me everyone who came in before me, and after was already done. Someone finally came in another half hour later, and I proceeded to go through all my symptoms again. I was told that it was allergies or a basic cold, and I did not need antibiotics (keep in mind I’ve already been sick over two weeks). I went home then proceeded to feel worse, and was admitted to the ER two days later. It turns out I did in-fact need antibiotics, and if anyone had listened to my lungs or symptoms could have easily told me I had pneumonia which I was diagnosed with at the ER. Literally go anywhere else especially if you are actually sick.

Fantastic, efficient(!), and clean facility. They are just excellent. Also, the front desk was very nice and helpful. Rachel (PA) was wonderful as well! Took her time explaining everything. Overall, really professional, kind people. So grateful to have them.

Its a very transactional clinic. After my visit, they said they would send my invoice and medical report by email at the end of the day, but they never sent the documents (which I urgently needed for travel insurance purposes) and they failed to respond to my follow up emails. I ended up having to call twice, then physically visit the clinic again the next day, yet they still werent able to send me the documents. I cannot recommend this place at all.

The services there was superb, the nurse and her assistant were very professional and direct. Thank you all for your kind services. I would recommend anyone to this facility.

Wait time was short and the PA was efficient. Unfortunately the front desk staff was careless with the prescription. They told me the only pharmacy open was CVS so I agreed to pick it up there and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I left and called 5 minutes later to confirm the address of the CVS. When I arrived at the CVS, I learned not only had they failed to call it in to CVS, but they called it in to Walgreens after they advised me earlier it was closed. No Walgreens pharmacy in the city is open today and Midwest Express is closed so I have no way of getting the prescription until tomorrow.

Very professional and helpful. It took a hour for paperwork seen by doctor x-rays and seen by doctor again. Facility was really clean. I would definitely recommend this place.

In from Boston for a family wedding that eve, I was experiencing a sudden, continuing swelling in both my ankles. I opted to go to this local urgent care clinic to be evaluated. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, but lucky for me there were only 2 were ahead of me.Within the next 10 min I completed registration information, triaged by a nurse and assigned an exam room. The doctor soon followed. He asked questions, was easy to talk to and his exam was thorough. He advised to buy & wear compression sox ASAP which will immediately reduce the swelling (edema) caused from flying. I was in and out in 30 min!! Very satisfied and highly recommend this clinic.

Highly recommend this urgent care! It is very clean & the staff is very nice & efficient. I walked in & did not have an exceptionally long wait. The MD was very thorough & thoughtful in providing care for my infected poison ivy! She called in the prescriptions and I was feeling a bit better in 24 hrs.

Staff was welcoming, quick and informative. The physician was thorough and personable, which was a comfort. Detailed about specifics and repeated results for clarity. I recommend this location. It is high on my list of immediate care.

My entire experience was complete with punctuality, courtesy, empathy, professional etiquette and competency, and, most importantly, kindness and goodwill. I had a great experience. The ladies at the front desk was very polite and attentive. The doctor was really nice. And the nurse that did my blood work she was awesome! Very funny we had fun. A great place to go or whatever your health needs are 😊

I came in over a week ago and it’s been an extremely frustrating experience trying to get my results. I was told I’d receive an email when they were ready—nothing came. I called the clinic multiple times and was promised a call back, which never happened. Then, I was told my results were available on the Quest Diagnostics website, but they weren’t there either.After calling yet again, I was told I’d get an email today with my results. Surprise surprise—still nothing. It has been incredibly frustrating to see such poor communication and follow up when it comes to something as important as health.

Dr. Joanna is excellent, and I have seen her twice in the past 6 months. The staff is always extremely professional, with a great personality and amazing care. I highly recommend her and the whole staff at Midwest Express Clinic. Thanks for all of your help!

My very 1st visit. Walk-ins accepted on a Sunday morning. Awesome!! Just the word Clinic wasnt expecting much. But to my surprise exceeded my expectations. Professional but, sleek stylish like lounge chairs strategically scattered around the waiting room with a complimentary Keurig Coffee machine. The receptionist was very prompt, courteous and professionally. The only other distraction was how attractive my doctor was. Dr. Cescolini Corinne. She was Amazing Thank you!!!!

The front desk won’t tell you until the end of filling out all of their paperwork that their card system is down and you need a physical card. They will insist you can find the full card number in Apple Pay or a bank app even though you can’t. Massive waste of time if you have anything time sensitive or painful

This urgent care was beyond my expectations. Located in River North, they had a clean wait room, nice staff, expedient patient processing, and nice PAs/MDs. Highly recommend.

Ok, “Express” is a bit of a misnomer but NP, Melanie, and Dr Ben were worth the wait: efficient, highly skilled and charming! Wait time reflects our broken health care system (e.g. hospital visits & scheduling doctor’s office appointments) that has put outsized demands on urgent care clinics

I went in for tests and they never called me back. I called back to follow up a couple weeks later and ask for medication to be prescribed, and they said they wouldn’t prescribe it and I’d have to come back in, which I said I would absolutely not do. I was then placed on and off hold for over 30 minutes, after which they said the provider would prescribe me. They didn’t ask what my pharmacy is, I had to follow up about that too.Update: months later and I received a random bill from my insurance even though I paid out of pocket. The clinic said they had fixed it, but I keep getting the bill.

Service was quick and friendly . Only issues I never got a receipt and the QR code to got test results didn’t work .

I had a 9:15am appointment and waited 15 min for someone to come up to the front desk. When the woman finally came out she asked if I had already been helped as if someone else was at the reception desk. Very dissatisfied

Excellent attention, but both my husband and I were been prescribed antibiotics that have NOT WORKED getting rid of an infection and a bad cough.

It doesn’t matter what your health needs might be- this team is always there to help and not just anyhow- but they treat you the best they possibly can and go way beyond to make sure you are taken care of in a best way possible!!!!

Came to get my Annual TB test for my job. I did not make an appointment and just walked in. I did have a bit of a wait and had to leave and come back. Once I came back, they got me in right away for the blood draw. I would recommend making an appointment Especially if you are coming in after work hours when it tends to get much busier. Staff was very nice, including Connie who was my phlebotomist. I’ve had her before and she is funny and no nonsense.

I had a fever and congestion for 5 days so i decided it was time to go to urgent care. I had recently been traveling and my travel companion was also sick and was told by her doctor she had a sinus infection and was given antibiotics to clear it up quickly (and it did). They refused to test or treat me for an infection and insisted I had a virus. I left with nothing but cough syrup. I ended up having a fever for another week and congestion for weeks.The $480 bill I received today also just states medical services without a breakdown of what I am actually paying for. They also require you to sign a form that they will autocharge your credit card card on file which isnt disclosed until you get there and this is also weird since they dont break down your services on your bill.The doctor was polite but the rest of the staff were quite rude. Gave 2 stars for location and I was able to get in right away - although it was a pretty pointless appointment for $480.

I would recommend going before 5pm during the week days because anytime after 5pm the wait can be close to an hour. Go during normal work hours or the weekend. Other than that easy and friendly staff!

A surprisingly great experience! Paperwork was efficient, wait was not too long, and my doctor spent enough time with me to really listen. She was excellent, not in a rush and made it a priority to help me feel better ASAP. I appreciate her attention and care.

Front desk has 0 professionalism. Speaks as though they’re possibly under the influence of maybe pot. I don’t know but it’s so bad. As someone who frequently came here just this interaction seems horrible and I’d never return. She was so disorganized and told me X-RAY schedule was not consistent. I encourage others to find a new clinic not here.

I had a concussion and I went here. Im a 20 yr old college student and dont have much money right now and Im under my moms insurance. The receptionist told me that my insurance was taken and then 2 weeks later I get multiple people calling my phone, saying I owe over 200! I dont have this and they literally keep spamming me, after telling me it was handled. If that was the case i wouldve never came here. Be upfront and dont lie to customers just trying to get simple medical treatment. Its not that hard to verify the insurance before hand and just tell me no. Some people dont have it like that right now. Be considerate.

I have been to this urgent care twice within 5 days and have received very professional and efficient care both times. In and out with a script placed in less than an hour. The front desk staff were also very helpful!Their hours are wonderful and I’ve been able to be seen by a professional within minutes both for a walk in and a regular appointment. My first visit here was after being turned away from two other urgent cares in the area who were no longer accepting walk ins for the evening. It was such a relief that MEC providers were able to see me rather than leading me to spending the evening in the emergency room or my symptoms worsening.My only wish is that they provided an after-care summary of sorts for patients to follow when they leave.

This was, by far, THE most pleasant clinic experience I have ever had —thank you! The opportunity to fill out all paperwork online ahead of time was most welcome and helpful, the personnel were very kind and professional, and I was seen and treated with care and thoroughness, and in a very reasonable amount of time. Always a pleasant experience all things considering my daughter was in pain with an ear infection. The doctors are consistently friendly, energetic and informative. We especially love Dr. Jack!Sometimes the wait time minutes add up but all and all I will keep coming back.

Was not feeling well for about 8 days (flu symptoms). Finally had enough on Christmas Eve about 2 am coughing and couldn’t sleep. Went on line and made an appt for 8:15 am that morning. (Super easy). Walked in they had my info. Tested for flu results in 15 minutes. . Had severe sinusitis Since I had the symptoms over a week she prescribed a z-pac. Sent over prescription to my cvs. Picked up that morning. Bottom line that took care of me and it was easy process they are very professional. Highly recommend. Back to normal and feel great.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. The site is clear that you cannot secure an appointment online, but it also says “Please fill out the form to check in and hold your spot in line.”, so I assumed I would be in the queue before showing up by registering online. It also gives you the option to enter a lead time and “We’ll send you a text message when it’s time to show up.” I did all that, and am waiting at home for a text, but nothing. I call the office to understand the process, the receptionist immediately apologies and says the site is very misleading, that you don’t actually enter the queue until you show up in person. Registering just lets them know you’re coming. Clearly this happens a lot. I wasted time registering online when I could have gone there and immediately been in the queue, and done registration there. I chose instead to go to NW urgent care who at least is honest about the process on their web page.

Midwest Express Clinic sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy 3 times, and then double billed me for services.

Great experience, great service, great facilities; they even give the patients coffee while they wait.

My visit to Midwest Express was very positive. The provider that saw me took his time examining me, asked me skit of questions and explained my symptoms. Understanding what I was experiencing was very helpful in my healing process because I was fearing the worst.

Service was subpar via telephone to say the least. I needed an emailed doctors note from a prior visit. I have been calling the clinic all day and have been lied to, & encountered rude service multiple times today from the staff. Professionalism aren’t existent via phone the service I received was uncivil. If anything is needed from this clinic it has to be completed in person. I definitely do not recommend.

Terrible customer service.I went to this clinic for lab tests on Wednesday the 13th of December. I was assured results will be ready in 3 - 5 days and will be emailed to me. Today is the 6th day, still no email.I called multiple times but the lady who answered the phone referred me to an online portal, put me on hold then dropped the call shortly after.Sadly I was unable to enroll on the platform, called again, the receptionist took down my information but refused to check if my results were ready.. her excuse? “She wasn’t as a computer” & I will be emailed if anything comes up.I paid too much money out of pocket to receive such terrible treatment.I have been to other locations in the past and got MUCH better service.

Terrible customer service. I went in because I have some skin tags that I need to be removed. The front desk employee said that she doesn’t think that they perform this service into their location. Well there is a sign on her front desk listing all services provided in this location and the skin tag/wart removal was listed among those services. I pointed this out to her and was like: “Oh yeah. So we remove skin rags then”. Then she proceeded to tell me that they are super busy and the wait time will be about one hour and a half at least. Yet I see only two people in the waiting room. Then she told me that they only have one provider and that I can just go to a different location. I asked if she knows whether the skin tags are being removed by cutting them off or burning them and she said that she doesn’t know. I am wondering what did she know in this case because she seemed like she didn’t know anything. She didn’t know that they provide the service, neither she knew how the service is performed. What does she know? Since how long she is working there and what is she getting paid for? She pretty much talked to me like she didn’t want to check me in and to let me receive the service and she was trying to send me away. This is by far the worst customer service I have received in a medical clinic.

I had to go here a few weeks ago, it was conveniently located close to work and had good reviews. I had to pay first which I thought was odd, then after seeing the doctor who wanted to order some extra cultures, I said fine sure. I was not notified that they will not give you your results with out paying for another appt nor did they let me know when the results were in. Now if your a doctor ordering tests for patients, part of your job is to give results. They will put your results in the portal but sorry I dont speak medical lingo. I have lost all faith in the medical community because they clearly can not be bothered to do their job.

What a wonderful clinic with such gifted and qualified clinicians! I have been here twice in 2 years and am always satisfied. Parking is right across the street.This is my full time clinic from now on. Youll be happy to come here too.

Dr. Ben showed genuine concern asking many relevant questions and listening carefully to my answers. All of the staff were very professional. I am looking forward to my follow up visit to hear what they think about my response to the treatment they advised. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I was able to schedule my appointment for early afternoon in the same day. The staff was courteous and the Physician Jack absolutely amazing and personable. This is my second or third time at this location and it remains a great experience!

The service was good. However they said I will receive lab results from QuestDiagnostics within 3 days. But it took 8 days to get them. What is the point of waiting 8 days for lab results when you are sick.

The front desk and medical staff were amazing! The atmosphere was very pleasant, clean, and the service was extremely efficient. I was in and out in less than 30mins. The bedside manners of the PA who treated me nearly brought me to tears with her warmth, patience, and genuine concern around my illness. If I’m ever in need of another visit, I’ll be heading back! Thanks again for the great experience and helping me feel better!

I highly recommend the Midwest clinic on Chicago Ave. Most walk in clinics I’ve been to have been a nightmare, but the this one made the entire process more than bearable. Friendly staff, no wait time, and Dr Bolanos was so kind, intelligent, proactive, and caring.

So we were out of towners going to see the white Sox vs. the Tigers. On the way my 14 year old tripped on the escalator & busted his knee. He was more concerned about the baseball game but I convinced him to go to first aid where he was diagnosed with a trip to the hospital for stitches. He was not happy & there was no way I was taking him to a hospital in downtown Chicago. My friend googled urgent cares in the area & my boy & I miraculously found our way to MES. They were very friendly, patient, helpful & quick at the front desk. The assistant & physician were also very friendly & caring. My boy got 4 stitches in his knee, got bandaged up & we were headed back to our spring break festivities before missing out on too much & trauma free, which is the best part.

My first time here. The office was very clean. The woman who checked me in was very nice and answered all my questions. I only waited about 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner explained all the test results and was very personable and empathetic to my symptoms. Would definitely come back in the future.

My wife and I pre-registered on line 45 minutes before our appointments. They saw us together and tested us on site for Covid, flu, and strep. We saw a nurse and a” provider”, who examined us and prescribed antibiotics. It was a positive experience all the way.

Fast, friendly and efficient! Although I didn’t make an online appointment, the wait was not very long. The facilities were clean and spacious. And the staff here are very friendly yet professional. I was in and out and on my way to feeling better the next day. Would certainly go back if needed.

We were from out state visiting and my baby got acutely sick on our trip. They took us in right away and got her diagnosis. They were so accommodating helping us find the right pharmacy since we didn’t know of any since we don’t live here and helped find the best medication that could suite our needs with travel. Everyone from the front desk, nurse, and doctor treated us so well.

Where do I start, in this clinic there is absolutely no empathy for the patient. We have tried during the last 3 days to change medication, a simple call to the farmacy would have fixed the issue, after being told the physician assistant Benjamin Paustun was aware and the meds were changed, going to the pharmacy twice was frustrating. We couldnt be more disappointed with all the receptionists that answered our calls, the kept placing us on hold until the system kicked out. I cant stress how badly we were treated during the last 3 days. Midwest clinic sucks

Had a slight medical emergency and a friend recommended this clinic. I walked in at 7pm , and was greeted by lovely, friendly front desk staff. After a short wait in a comfortable waiting room, ( coffee, tv.... the works) I was called to see the doctor. The nurse who took my vitals and info had a very gentle and caring nature. The doctor who saw me was also very kind and patient. Considering I was one of the last patients of what Im sure had been a very busy day for all concerned, I cannot commend the staff at this facility high enough. This clinic is also very affordable, compared to other urgent care clinics.Thankyou for your service ❤️

The first impression on the phone was such a good one, that made my decision to come here over other places. I was lucky enough to have who I spoke to on the phone, Ben, as my PA. They are thorough, friendly, and efficient. Wasnt feeling great but they helped start the process to feeling better.

The schedule ahead option kept crashing, and the parking lot across the street is confusing (signs say parking for Midwest Express but also say permit required in every spot).However, I was in and out in about an hour on a Thursday morning even though they were short staffed, and had advised us of potential long wait.Most importantly, they accept Medicaid. Thanks for making medical care accessible!

This review is not a reflection of the staff nor the practitioners in this facility- it’s more so about greedy and shady practices that I’mLeaving this reviews . I contracted an STI through a Fwb - specifically gonnorhea. I only have a consistent Fwb and sleep with no one else so i was sure i contracted gonnorhea. I went in to the office get the treatment required. Even though i expressed that i only wanted to get tested for gonnorhea/chlamydia the nurse was insistent i get other sti tests. They wet insistent on testing me for other STIs and i agreed with the expedition of hiv as im on prep and there is virtually no chance i got it. , after i got tested and treatment i was was informed that i would have to come back to receive my test results from a practitioner (so they could again charge me again for visiting ).A month later i got my lab bill in the mail and over $150 in fees. What really Pisses me off is that i got tested for HIV and creatine , which was not consulted. The kicker is that i did not get to see any other test results given their greedy policy. If you have a STI please consider visiting a free clinic such as Howard brown, the practices here are very greedy and they will run several unnecessary tests to fill their pockets

One of the best experiences I’ve had at an urgent care facility!! It was quick really no wait. Clean and the staff were friendly and helpful!! This is my preferred location now.

Even with a full waiting room I was able to see the nurse and doctor before an hour passed. My prescription was ready and available by the time I got to my pharmacy down the street. When I was feeling vulnerable this was a very quick and efficient solution to the problem.

Joanna and the whole staff was amazing. They got me in so quickly and she knew exactly how to help and was so knowledgeable. I will 100% be back and all the people at this place should get a raise for how awesome they are!

I visited Midwest Express when I was feeling super sick this past week. I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes for both of my visits (regardless of having an appointment) to get seen by a provider. The providers were incredibly kind, communicative and open to any of my questions. They were able to quickly take a X-ray in-office which is i’d say is pretty rare considering I was a walk-in. The whole process was seamless. They efficiently filled any necessary prescriptions immediately and personally called me with any test results. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m feeling under the weather!

We were on vacation in Chicago when our 11 year old began an earache… I went online and was able to schedule an appointment within an hour. He ended up having an ear infection! We are in and out within 30 mins and picked up the prescription within a block from the clinic. Thanks for making it so easy!

I had a great experience here last week. I came in after weeks of not feeling good and ended up testing positive for COVID. Ben was so nice and helpful, he told me exactly what medicine to get and explained the medicine he was calling in for me. He was very patient with my scatter brained questions. When I got out my phone to take notes, he even offered to write everything down for me. He made a stressful situation much better by being so kind and informative.

MEC was efficient and extremely helpful during my visit.

Most friendly and helpful staff inside the office. I forgot their names, but it was a bright blue eyed MA and a PA with a slight accent who took care of me. Made me feel so comfortable and took care of all my questions/needs. Absolute best service ever at river north with those two. One of the best urgent care clinics Ive ever been to.

Great experience! Easy check-in process online which made in-person check-in a breeze. Was seen promptly. The nurse technician was thorough in her assessment of my vitals and symptoms. Quickly learned I had the flu (bummer), but the Doctor on staff came and answered all my questions and was also thorough in recommendations for treatment of my symptoms. A week later and Im much better thanks, in big part, to the folks at Midwest Clinic!

Went in at the end of the day with the crud. Got tested for Strep quickly (negative) and they were super nice, thorough, and inexpensive. $120 for an appointment with the PA, whereas my doctor appointment at UChicago was $1,082.00 — for the same quality of care. Ill keep going back, for sure.

I love this clinic! They are open on the weekends which happens to be the time that my kids decide to get sick. They are friendly and very professional. Their prices are very reasonable and the best part is that they accept walk-ins. No waiting two weeks for a doctors appointment when you have some infection that needs attention now. Definitely 5 stars.

I want to say that this place is amazing. I was able to walk in and get seen right away. I was nervous as heck going through my first pregnancy and trying to find out more. The staff is so kind and caring and really put me at ease. Connie was also amazing taking my blood, she made me feel so calm. These people are truly amazing and I am glad to have come in.

Literally the best urgent care I’ve ever been to. Comfortable cute waiting room lobby. Super convenient web platform to upload paperwork and insurance before my appointment. The staff was super competent—from front desk to medical assistants to my nurse practitioner. It generally didn’t feel too clinical or sterile and I could tell that they value overall holistic health! My health issue was solved and I was sent on my way! Will def be back if I have another urgent medical issue!

EDIT: they gave me a free voucher to go in and get my toes fixed. And of course because the visit was free, they refused to operate, stating that the toe had to be fixed by a specialist. Funny how they could operate on me when I was paying!To reiterate again, don’t come here for anything other than to get a Covid test or something simple. I don’t think I’d trust them either with a pregnancy test at this point!———————————Don’t come here.I went in to get my 3 of my ingrown toenails removed. That was 3 weeks ago. I went back in 2 more times and each time the doctors said my toes “looked fine” despite them being infected STILL after 2 rounds of antibiotics.I had to go back for the 4th time again today because apparently, the first doctor completely bungled removing my nails, and left pieces of the nail behind in 2 of the sides, and didn’t even properly remove the ingrown on another side. And on this 4th visit, I had to tell them I suspected there was a foreign object causing the infection! They wouldn’t have figured it out…In total my visits cost me $545 out of pocket. It would have been cheaper and better health wise for me to have gone to a podiatrist who would do it right in the beginning. Now I have to spend the holidays stuck in bed rest.

I had a good experience with this clinic. It’s very clean and organized. The staff were all polite, kind, and knowledgeable. Every question I had was answered and I didn’t have too long of a wait in their front lobby - 5 minutes. I suspect I arrived during one of their slow times. 4pm on a Sunday. Either way, they seemed very organized, especially since I had done all of my paperwork beforehand and it was in their system when I arrived. I’d come back again.

Dr. Ben was super quick while still being very personable. He did an assessment, ran some tests, and sent me home feeling confident that everything was a-okay! I was in and out within an hour 👏 The person working the front desk that checked me in was also very kind and patient.

Nice clinic, relaxing waiting room; it’s clean and not crowded! The staff, nurses, and Dr. Mary were so nice and awesome, and were very cool about me being self advocating and explaining my needs with my doctors note. Came in with a knee injury and left with a smile! And it was all pretty quick too, waited, seen, and left within an hour - came in 2pm on a Wednesday for reference

Medical staff is great is for this type of office. Admin could use work on scheduling. Had a follow up time set and called ahead to ensure wouldnt have to wait (work day), but was told I had to start from the back of the walk in line upon arriving. Ultimately after an hour had to leave.

I was so confused on where the clinic was located and the receptionist was kind enough to stay on the phone with me until I found the office, she even came outside to find my mom and I. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Made me feel at ease taking a covid test. I was so scared and anxious but the doctor was nice she made me feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend coming here! Great experience!

Everyone was very professional and tended to the issues I had. I needed Stitches from a fall and my Nurse practitioner did a great job. I would definitely recommend this location. I also was able to make an appointment within 30 minutes of when I needed to be there. Their online portal is really easy to use and it’s great for also making appointments in advance.

I was fortunate to have this urgent care location close by to me because I was suffering from allergies with infected eyes. The check-in and wait time was efficient. The doctor was very helpful and immediately got my prescription to the nearest pharmacy.. Now, I’m on my way to recovery!

I came in for a COVID test. I love that you’re able to check in online. The clinic was pretty busy (Thursday around 12pm), but I was still seen quickly and the staff continuously apologized for the wait even though it was not necessary because I understood. Everyone was so polite.Definitely the best urgent care visit I’ve ever had!

Went there after an ankle sprain. Waited for 3 hours on a day with very few patients. They took an xray but did not have a radiologist to tell if its fracture or not. An intern came in and gave me a report that said no fracture. Then their supervisor came in saying its not a fracture but theyre not sure. Yup, thats what they said. I asked them what to do then? To which the reply was - go home well call you and let you know if its a fracture. Also go see a podiatrist. Gave me crutches and sent me my way. In retrospective it looks like a very funny incident. But when it was happening it felt like Im being treated by incompetent underequipped staff that are just trying to somehow run the place.Ohh and yeah they did call me to tell me its a fracture and they can refer me to a specialist. When I went to the specialist he confirmed theres no fracture.Going anywhere in case of an emergency but here.

I have frequented this clinic over the years of living downtown Chicago and have never had any negative experience, until my visit yesterday. I showed up in a lot of pain and the front desk and nursing staff were very pleasant/helpful during my visit, however the provider I saw (Dr. Kyle) was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional healthcare provider I’ve ever had in my life. His lack of knowledge and level of immaturity when it comes to human anatomy was truly disappointing. I will not be coming back again after leaving yesterday.

My 7 year old son hurt his foot and the water park the day before! And was feeling some discomfort on his left foot!We were able to walk in, see a doctor and get an ex rey referral same day! This place is amazing!

I was brought in from work where I was about to faint and had no idea why. I saw Mara Weaver and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Not only was I seen right away she explained what happened and why. It was a very scary situation for me and everyone around me. She was thorough, spent time with me explaining everything, not in a hurry. I wish I could have her as my primary!! Everyone from the receptionist to the attendant who first saw was wonderful.

I cannot give a review past the front desk staff. They may have good medical care, however I cannot rate that. My rating and experience of this place is solely based on the interactions with two young ladies sitting at the front desk. Prior to coming into the urgent care, I called the insurance company to verify which locations were in network for the insurance to cover. I was specifically told that this particular location was in network and would be fully covered for my 7yr old son to be seen. I then traveled to this particular location for my sick son to receive treatment. As we entered into the facility there was a young lady sitting at the front desk, not friendly at all. Which is surprising considering that you are the first point of contact when people are entering. I tell her that my son needs to be seen, and that I had already did the online check in, I even showed her the email that I received confirming that the check in was completed. She tells me that they have no record of it being done. I then have to give her the information all over again. She tells me that there is a past due balance from a previous visit, and they can’t see my son. I tell her that I was not aware of this, but fine, I’ll pay the balance because my son is in pain and needs to be seen. She comes back and says to me, I can’t verify your insurance on my computer, so you need to call them, we don’t call insurance. Which is very strange, I’ve never encountered such horrible customer service and to say that you can’t verify the insurance any other way because it’s not coming up on your computer??? She then sarcastically says, I can’t know if urgent care is covered on the insurance. By this point I reach someone from the insurance company and they are just as confused as I am. There is now two rude young ladies sitting at the front desk, unprofessional, laughing amongst each other as my 7yr old sits in pain. As a mother, I’m furious that my child is still not receiving any care. I show them his insurance information, as well as pull up the account coverage that shows where urgent care is covered, and that their location is on there. They still refuse to see my very son in this urgent care! And yes, as a BLACK MOTHER, of a BLACK SON, being the only two BLACK people in the entire place, and one of the young ladies telling me that I can just leave and take my son some place else, this situation absolutely does not sit well with me. No child should ever be refused medical care, for any reason!

I made a Wait in Line appointment and I was treated very quickly. The whole visit from walking in the front door, and walking out only took an hour and a half for a more complicated issue. The staff is all highly respectful, and treat you with dignity and kindness. Could not recommend this clinic more.

I was visiting from out of state. I used the online check-in to reserve my place in line. This helped things move quickly. The doctor was very helpful. Take note if you have sinus/cough symptoms you will be swabbed for covid and flu. It was a deep nasal swab not once, not twice, not three times, but four times in a row. The facility was clean and efficient.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the treatment I received last night from Dr. Joanna and her team was phenomenal. Her care and kindness were fantastic, as was the rest of the team’s, and she did an excellent job providing the treatment I needed. I will 100% return here the next time I’m under the weather.

I was not really sure what to expect but was anticipating a scary little clinic next the train tracks or something. This place was very clean and nice and the staff were professional and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and was treated incredibly fast. I checked in online and setup an appointment and only spent about five minutes in the lobby.

I was visiting a friend this weekend in Chicago, and I developed a bad tonsil infection. I was trying to find a minute clinic last minute so I could get antibiotics and hopefully recover enough to enjoy the rest of the weekend. After many failed attempts with other clinics, this clinic was able to see me! Not only that, they were so kind, fast, and gave me exactly what I needed. I’ve never had such friendly and genuine nurses/Physicians take care of me before. Keep up the good work :)

Everything was great except I was told the doctor would see me in 10 min after I submitted a strep test and it took over 40. It wasn’t the amount of time, I just would’ve liked better communication and time management. Other than that, everyone was very nice!

The staff is always attentive and professional. Definitely my go to for medical attention in a timely manner. Wait times are short and they take a lot of insurance plans.

Wow.. this place is spotless clean, and really nice inside. They offer coffee and water and have a very friendly staff. My eval went so smooth and my PA looked identical to Margot Robbie. I was like hold up wait a minuet… Margot?

Everyone was pleasant but I am disappointed that I had to go in for a follow up just to be asked a simple question. I didn’t realize I would be charged a new fee for a follow up and was upset that it was just to ask which medication to send to my pharmacy (which they already had in file.) Total I spent $100 within just 4 days and I felt like it was a bit of a scam. Only worth a visit if you are getting tested for COVID. I wish I would have just visited my regular doctor for blood work and follow up but I was stressed and have very limited time with a full schedule.

I was just in Chicago visiting when I needed to go to an urgent care, everyone at Midwest express was so helpful and kind. Very thankful to the doctors who helped me and got me checked out on such short notice.

For at least the last 5 years, this has been my go to place for any medical issue that pops up for me and my kids. I know itll take days to get into our primary doctor yet I can go here for unexpected issues and be seen immediatedly. Ive never had to wait longer than 15 minutes without an appointment. I have gone here for everything from a severe cold to a sprained ankle to an infected wound. Its clean, friendly and efficient. The doctors are great and overall its a godsend to have this place close by.

Midwest express clinic was AMAZING. It was essentially after hours when I called and they still welcomed me. Everyone was so kind, from the folks at the desks to Joanna Giza. Joanna was so professional and thoughtful in her care. It was efficient and a great experience. Hopefully I don’t need to come back but if I do I know I’ll be in great hands!!

I tried out this location for the first time. The girl that checked my vitals was very rude. I felt uncomfortable. Then the doctor came in and made me feel super rushed. He didnt even bother to answer any of my concerns regarding my sons asthma. Was just trying to get to the next patient.

This urgent care is so convenient and all of the staff (from front desk to the doctors) are caring and wonderful. We are so grateful to have them in the neighborhood!

Honestly, one of the best urgent cares I have been to, ever. And probably one of the best experiences that I’ve had with someone listening and actually trying to rule out all illnesses. Dr. Joanna Giza took her time to find out what was wrong with me. After doing several tests that all came back negative she continues to ask questions and look into my ears etc. and then prescribed medicine that actually worked. I really appreciated the thoroughness that the Dr took. They also got me in quickly with a walk in . And I loved that they had a TV in the results room, so I got to watch Bravo! Which is also a huge win.

Highly recommend! I have been going since they opened under new management and the experience has been amazing. They accept walk-ins so its very convenient for my schedule. Theyre online portal is super easy to check-in and get in line ahead so that you dont have to wait. The staff is very friendly and they are very helpful to all my (annoying) questions. Everything is digital so from checking-in, lab results, future appointments and prescriptions they send everything directly to the necessary location and by email. This saves me soo much time in not having to take samples or prescriptions physically and then wait for them.Doctors and nurses are very well trained and explain everything before doing any procedure. Additionally, they dont just prescribe based on assumption they run thorough tests before any medication to ensure proper diagnosis and medication needed.

Gave myself a good deep cut on the palm at work. On top of that, Im visiting from Denver and commuting. I was taken back immediately and allowed to complete paperwork later. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and I cant recommend them highly enough.

Top notch patient care! I had an emergency (cut foot, lots of blood, panicking patient) and they handled it so well! Triaged me immediately and got me straight to a room. They were so friendly and got me calmed quickly. I had to get a ridiculous amount of stitches in my toe. The doc thoroughly explained the procedure and repeatedly checked my pain/comfort level throughout. Getting stitches is not a pleasant experience but the care I received made it the best it could be. Stitches I would rate 0/10 would not recommend but, if you have to, 10/10 would def recommend this clinic.

Went in for a rapid COVID test after reserving a spot in line. My time was 11:25, was seen around 11:50, and out no later than 12:15. The office is very clean and the staff are all VERY nice. I often find it hard to feel comfortable with medical professionals but each person here was kind and informative.

Waited 1.5 hrs. Checked in with the desk and was told I was already seen. I was sitting in front of the front desk the entire time. This place has gotten bad from a year ago! Rap and hip hop playing in the lobby. Smh Would not recommend at all.

I had an incredibly positive experience at this clinic. We are here from out of town and I had an accident in our hotel room. I chose Midwest Express mainly from a Google search and because they had available scheduled times (meaning no wait). They were all incredibly friendly, comforting, and professional, and that includes the receptionist, nursing staff, and doctor. They all comforted me and expertly treated my wound. The receptionist even helped my husband and I with a restaurant selection as we were leaving (which was great, too!). I didn’t know what to do and was worried about my injury, and Midwest helped me in every way. I cannot thank them enough!

They are always super friendly and efficient at this location! I fainted in their lobby today, and they were so sweet to me. They made the scary experience a lot better. I highly recommend this location!

I went in for a COVID test, and was really happy with the level of service and communication. Clean office, nice staff and parking across the street too! I’ll definitely go back in the future for immediate care needs and questions. They were much better than the NW urgent care clinic and others in the area.

This was the most pleasantly surprising express clinic visit I’ve ever had. I showed up 20 minutes before my scheduled time and they got me right in. I went in for stomach pain, and they are prepared with a multitude of tests, which they got done very quickly. Felt like they had as many resources as a hospital but moved at 10x the speed.Only knock is I put my pharmacy info in when I checked jn, and then verbally confirmed the pharmacy with the front desk, and they still sent it to the wrong place. So double check that when you’re in, but the level of service still warranted 5 stars.

I visited MEC to get some last-minute bloodwork done before a trip. I felt listened to and supported by the front desk, the nurse, the doctor, and the phlebotomist. It was such a positive experience! And I just paid my bill and it was substantially less than my PCP charged for the same routine tests - I had to write a review based on that alone. I cant recommend this place enough. Going to an urgent care center never makes me feel happy. This place on the other hand was wonderful. The staff was super welcoming (the woman at the front desk in particular) the whole process was quick, efficient and as thorough as going to my primary care doctor. The location is convenient and the office is kept very clean.

While Ive always had positive experiences at Midwest Express Clinic River North in the past, my recent visit fell short. The provider I saw seemed disinterested and didnt actively listen to my concerns. Specifically, when I went in for a follow up for a worsening respiratory infection, the provided didn’t even listen to my lungs.

Needed an urgent consultation and found this to be better rated than many urgent care locations near me.Easy walk in and registration.Dr Shannon is very caring and due diligent. She discussed all options after an oral screening. The charges are very reasonable too. Didn’t look like a place that would rip you off because you went there with an urgent request.Would highly recommend this place for urgent care if you are in this area, before you consider others.

This clinic is in our neighborhood and I have visited a couple of times with my mother who fell. The attendees were fantastic. When my son was brought in for a COVID test, they made him feel comfortable and he was excited when they gave him a toy car for being a good patient.

This clinic is easy to get to and has parking across the street. We went here for a school physical and it easy and fast. Staff and practitioners are helpful and professional and made me and my child feel comfortable. I highly recommend this clinic.

The intake was swift and easy. I was seen within 5 mins of submitting my forms. The nurses and PA’s/Dr we’re extremely pleasant, thorough and informative. I felt I was cared for and not just a number. Great team at this facility. Kindness does go a long way. Thank you!

The service was quick and careful. Julie at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The medical assistant Simona did a painless blood draw, the best I’ve ever received! The provider Maya seems wonderful as well.
