Do yourself a favor and AVOID EC at all costs.Our experience with this surrogacy agency has been devastating. Our baby was born with ABO blood incompatibility with the surrogate, a condition that caused her red blood cells to be destroyed. She required a full blood transfusion and remains in the ICU, fighting for her life. Even while we are sleepless and doing everything we can to help our baby survive, the agency continues to pester us with additional bills that seem completely illegitimate.We entrusted EC with over $35,000 in agency fees, expecting them to prioritize the well-being of intended parents (IPs). Instead, we found ourselves battling the very agency that should have supported us during one of the most vulnerable times of our lives.From the start, EC demonstrated incompetence and a complete lack of care. They force you to pay additional fees to outside agencies for basic tasks, such as arranging medical appointments—tasks they should handle. They pushed us toward the most expensive insurance options, which ultimately offered minimal coverage. After collecting their agency fees, EC provided almost no meaningful assistance—except to constantly contact us for more payments.The lack of coordination within EC is staggering. We dealt with at least five different coordinators, each asking for additional payments, sometimes for fees we had already paid. It was clear their internal communication was nonexistent. They also failed to issue proper receipts, making it nearly impossible to track what was paid and what was outstanding.Their communication was abysmal. As new parents, already overwhelmed and exhausted, we had to chase them for basic details. Even within a week of our baby’s due date, EC did not provide us with critical information about the hospital where the baby would be delivered. With the hospital located five hours away, we were left scrambling at the last minute to prepare, adding unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation.On top of the emotional toll, I had to dedicate countless hours to ensuring EC wasn’t exploiting us financially, leaving me with little energy or resources to focus on our baby’s needs.We want to save other families from the heartache and headaches we are going through. Save yourself the stress, financial burden, and emotional devastation. We would like to share our experience with extraordinary conceptions (EC). We found a good surrogate through them and paid a very high agency fee (USD 30 000). Until this point all was going well. We were happy with our choice.Unfortunately we had a miscarriage at the 14th week and then a series of failed attempts which led to our doctor asking that we look for another surrogate. We had signed up with EC for a “safe” programme so they were supposed to find us an alternate surrogate.This is where you start seeing the good and the bad agencies. EC started bringing up all sorts of excuses and problems: we were not on a hybrid programme, we could not access the normal database of surrogates available but only the database of “discarded” surrogates from the US programme (our clinic is in Canada), all the surrogates they were proposing had some sort of problem, or infection, or “disappeared” medical records (by the way, they do not screen surrogates before inserting them on the database, despite claiming they do it).They kept saying they were doing their best and yet nothing was moving. We clearly had the impression they were trying to get rid of us as they had no interest in providing a good replacement as the fee had already been paid. We complained to no avail.We were only losing time and finally closed our contract with them without a replacement and moved to a new agency, new fee, etc.So this is to warn anyone who wants to engage with EC. This is not a good agency, it has no interest in your wellbeing or that of the surrogates. All it cares about is profit. Look for another agency.

Carried and delivered Jan 2017... Every adventure has its speed bumps but ours was remarkable to say the least & most of what transpired or what challenged us was out of their control. The staff was better than amazing & their attention to me and my scenario and the IPs was incomparable. Ill be back you guys, just a few more months of me time first.....

I have had a great experience with EC. They have helped me through my first surrogate baby journey. The baby was born in January 2019. I was planning to have atleast one more surro baby with them! But due to my family circumstances that they didn’t like, I went with another agency.

My husband and I have been looking for fertility clinic and came across this one. Seeing all the NEGATIVE reviews i questioned whether we should use it. I called the agency and discussed some of the concerns noted in the negative reviews about their coached screening process and the like and the person on the phone although she appeared to be friendly agreed that he screen process needed some work. she confided in me and i appreciate her honesty but it goes to show me that he agency generally acts DISHONESTLY.We will be going to another fertility agency.

I have been a surrogate 3 times and extrodinary conceptions has been a great agency to work with. They make the process easy and they are very helpful and always there when you need them.

To be honest this company treated me so horribly that even 10 years later its made me so ill to think about that’s it prompted me to leave a review this many years later. I was young and a donor and they took advantage of the fact that I needed money. Iv read other reviews and it appears the company is just going to say I wasn’t a customer and some sort of con artist but I have emails and documents for proof. This company preys off of peoples want for a child or money and they take advantage of you. it’s your body don’t let them use you.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY. Tracy Devany lies about her screening process.. it is sub par.. she tells people what they want to hear and takes advantage of innocent couples .. She is in a fee arrangement with not only the egg donor but also the doctor. She will tell you that the egg donor only wants to deal with a specific doctor because that doctor will give a referral fee back to her.. She doesnt even tell you about all the tests you can have done on a donor so that no issues could come up that would have you cancel the egg donor. She is being sued right now for all these things!!! STAY AWAY there are much better and honest agencies out there...

I do NOT recommend this agency. They tried to over charge me for services that i received elsewhere for 50% the cost. I gave them my credit card information and they were making unauthorized charges to it.. They seem only to be interested in your money and the service is terrible. I also caught them lying to me about a donors medical background...
